item arrived stained...what do I do now?

Bought some baby clothes from a seller, the parcel has arrived really quickly, but with a massive stain on the top- it looks as though it's an actual stain too, rather than just a mucky mark, although I won't know for sure until I wash it. I've had another look at the listing, and the stain is just about visible, although it's been photographed in such a way that the dirty part is folded over, so you wouldn't notice it unless you zoomed in and really looked for it. Honestly, I wouldn't give it to a charity shop in the condition it's in, never mind sell it!

I'm reluctant to go all out and leave negative feedback straight away, is there something else I should be doing first?

Second hand baby clothes may have stains and marks on them. I don't think you can expect perfect condition but that being said I sell lots of baby clothes on EBay and I state some have stains and provide photos.
Was it a bundle of clothes and just one item is stained?

I would message first and see what they say - then leave feedback and stars according to what response you get. And if there was a stain, they should have mentioned it in the listing. And items should be sent out clean too, so they are in the wrong.

If you can't send it back try sunning it out. Always worked with my sons nappies, and spaghetti bolognese on his tops

It was a dungarees and top set, the top is stained. I have bought and sold lots of baby clothes on Ebay before, and have never received anything that's in poor condition like this before, nor would I ever try to sell anything that was so grubby. Having looked at the photo again, and knowing where the stain is, it does appear as though the photo has been taken at angle that deliberately tries to hide it Sad

Message the seller and see what they say. If they work with you to resolve the matter to your satisfaction (however that may be), then don't leave negative feedback.
