Hi there

So we:
Did an auction someone won
Person who won said whoops that amount was a mistake can I cancel
We said yes fine and did "cancel order" function as per instructions
Other person had put in nice high bid (high enough to want to take that and not relist)
They do not show on the second chance offer list
Sent them a note saying are you still interested they said yes how much you want

So all well and good looks like we might be able to agree sale with the second highest bidder BUT how do we process this through ebay in terms on invoice / paypal / fees and so forth?

I am mightily confused!

Thank you ever so much Smile

hmm is second chance not showing on drop down box? Did you get a message saying your FVF fees are being refunded to you? (I think these come as a credit rather than actual refund) but you don't want to miss out on those if it was a reasonable amount. If not check with ebay CS

To sell to the other buyer you could list again as a BIN at the agreed price at a convenient time for them to buy then it works as normal. Hopefully you will be able to do this without a listing fee if you have any of your 20 left for the month.

Yes that's right it's not showing on the second chance drop down, a note at the bottom says "buys who have selected not to receive 2nd chance offers will not show on the list" although when buying I've never noticed this option!

BIN costs doesn't it? Mind you if it's a decent amount it's probably worth it!

Are ebay CS quite good then?

Just relist it as a buy it now and message that buyer to tell them. And block the first buyer who bid in error.

BIN doesn't cost if you have any of your 20 free listings left - these are for auction or BIN so should be free for you. Make sure you get original final fees back or you will be charged 2 lots of these.

FYI I relisted BIN for free at an agreed time and purchase has gone through fine. The BIN bit I hadn't realised it was a different tab, so thought it was 50p, so that was good!

Thanks ever so much :)
