I sold 2 dresses and the auction was won by the same buyer. he lives in an EEC country. She contacted me to ask if i could send them post in the same packing so i agreed, went to the PO, got quotes which represented a £12 saving for her, emailed back twice, nothing. No payment, no reply.
How long would you give it? Should i email her asking her if she really wants them?
As you can probably tell, I am not a very experienced seller!

Ebay should have messaged her by now to request payment,I would cancel the sale if it where me as it looks like they could possibly be a problem buyer,I would mark on your sellers page customer not paid and let ebay get involved,if you posted there is every chance they could claim none receipt of item so I certainly wouldn't take the risk. I block all sales from EEC Countries as I have had problems with post.

Don't cancel the sale, open an unpaid item case. If no response within four days you can progress the case and get your fees back, and the buyer will get a black mark against their account for non payment

and then you can relist and make sure you add to blocked bidder list too. And change your settings to who you will sell to in future too.

Thanks everyone I have opened an unpaid item case. Prior to that I did email her and recap on the price saving I was offering by posting everything together, and asking her to pay via Paypal but as she hasn't answered after 2 days I have proceeded with the case. I will also make sure to block her as a buyer. Obviously I have not sent the goods.
Would you generally advise not to sell to the EU zone countries? Are any countries particularly problematic?

Did you actually send a new invoice with the postage adjusted? or did you email the buyer? They may have been waiting for an invoice with correct postage on? Still should have messaged you to ask about that but it was just a thought.

Hi Robin- no I didn't send a new invoice, just an email. Thanks for the thought i'll look at the ebay website to see how you send a new invoice. I'm still learning!

You usually need to send a revised invoice to change the postage for multi buys unless you have an "add to basket" option. The buyer may be cross you opened a case without having your agreed postage discount on the invoice. The other way is to agree that you will issue a postage refund via paypal after they have paid (sometimes the invoices can play up when trying to change postage) so refund works in that case but usual way is to revise prior to payment and send a new one to buyer. Hope it all works out ok

Thanks Robin. I'll be better prepared for the next time. I did refund the excess postage via paypal after she paid so hopefully it'll be OK.
