I sold a dress recently on eBay and the buyer has relisted the dress and copied my images and title - is she allowed to do this? I have reported it to eBay.

Anyone have experience of this? What happens?

Only ok if you allow it - I wouldn't mind if they bought my item but it didn't fit them so they wanted to re list - better that than refunds and returns but polite to ask you first really.

If they have bought to re sell then it isn't so fair and you could ask them not to use your pics/text. Personally it wouldn't bother me unless they were using my images to sell their own similar item (not item bought from me) because then it is unfair to buyers as it is not a pic of actual item being sold. Someone once used my pics to sell an item like mine and I asked them not to and then reported to ebay when they didn't change it. My pic was of a new Boden duffle coat and their coat was used so I considered that unfair to bidders.

btw usually ebay take down the listing if you have reported it but it might take a bit of time for this to happen and you need to prove the copying has taken place.

no it isn't allowed - report it and they will end the listing.

Thanks for the help and advice. Have also sent her a message. I'm fine with her reselling it on, just not happy about my pictures being used!
