hoping you can help i won a item for £2.45 and postage was £1.50 on going to pay it says the seller has added a £3.95 charge !!!

It a t shirt so small and light and would go as a large letter

It doesnt mention the exrta charge on the bidding page anywhere and also i have checked the all the answers on the questions section ( where you contact the seller) i have emailed asking why the charge and also it doesnt mention the extra charge
The seller is uk as i am

Any thoughts i know its a small amount but i wouldnt of bidded on it if i was the charge as i always add the postage with bid

You should only be charged the selling price and the postage nothing else, wait and see what the response is from the seller if no response I would not proceed with the sale,I've not heard of this before so don't know which other way to guide you but someone will come along and help I'm sure.

Give the seller a few days to respond, then report to eBay?

It sounds like a mistake rather than something dodgy - perhaps it's a newbie seller? £3.95 is equal to £2.45+£1.50 so maybe the seller put that total in the box thinking they were supposed to put in the invoice total themselves, not realising this would lead to double-charging.

If you don't get a reply this could be equally likely tone evidence of clueless-newbieism.
