How often do you receive feedback as a seller?

In the past 2 weeks, I have sold 15 items and only received feedback once. I always give feedback on every item I sell or buy and I cannot think of an occasion when a seller has not given me feedback.

But, I sell far more than I buy. My current feedback is 345, yet my dashboard tells me I have made 446 sales over the years.

I appreciate it is a busy time of year, and that some of the people above will leave feedback eventually, but I have noticed, as a general trend over the years, that the giving of feedback by buyers is decreasing.

Does anyone else notice this or is there something I am doing wrong which means that buyers don't bother leaving me feedback? I have to say the feedback I do receive is usually very positive and I am scrupulous about what I sell and how I describe it so I don't think it is customer dissatisfaction causing people not to leave feedback. I am wondering if there is something else I can do?

many folk never bother leaving any - it is not an integral part of the transaction and is purely voluntary. Never ask for feedback btw or you may receive some you don't want.

I nearly always leave it as a buyer but find that about 1 in 3 buyers leave it when I sell. Usually this is for low price items. Buyers seem even more reluctant to leave positive feedback when the item is higher priced.

I find many people now don't bother to give feedback for some reason,I don't worry too much about now as I did when I first started selling I was neurotic about it trying to get my stars higher etc,now if they don't give feedback and I hear nothing form them in about a week at least I know I am sure they have received the item and don't worry about INR.
I will ask a buyer who is spending on a higher end item to confirm delivery though and they have always complied thankfully.

It happens alot. I usually message the buyer and ask them to leave feedback for me...which reminds me...

you must never, ever badger buyers for feedback - sellers who do this will likely get a neg.

And using fb to confirm delivery - surely you send tracked? That is the only proof of delivery which is worthwhile.

I leave feedback. Sometimes weeks later though. Twice I've not left it because they asked. It's cheeky and intrusive to demand feedback of a buyer and while I stop short at leaving negative for it , I refuse to adhere to rude demands.

I've noticed people aren't leaving feedback as much as in the past.
I get worried that something's wrong when i've sold something.
I leave it every time as a seller, but it does annoy me when some business sellers badger me for feedback if i've not done it.

I have sold 12 items in past couple of months and had only one buyer leave feedback. It is frustrating but at least no feedback is better than bad feedback. I always leave feedback as a buyer . I agree that it's always the 99p items I've sold which get feedback left for them. People don't seem to bother much anymore but I've become disillusioned with ebay for many things.

I think it should be mandatory to leave feedback as a buyer - or else it makes a mockery of the feedback system. No idea how on earth ebay could implement it tho!

Fwiw, I've sold stuff over the last 2 years and had less feedback than ever - yet I know my items have been immaculate, posted same day as payment and trackable (all received) and I've literally just charged the cost of postage - yet some cunt has left me a 1 and 2 star rating for handling time and postage cost!

i don't send my items recorded. i work on the premises no news is good news but feedback is helpful. even if you do signed for u still don't know if they've got it.

if requesting feedback I'm always polite.

On balance I'd prefer feedback left by buyers who want to leave it rather than by buyers who are forced to leave it under duress.

The feedback system is a bit of a joke imho - no way to leave neg feedback for non paying 'buyers'... Of which there seem to be many more these days.
But buyers can leave neg feedback for sellers.

So buyers can only have either 100% positive or 0% feedback.. It seems a bit pointless to me now though I do try to remember to do it.

Buyers seem even more reluctant to leave positive feedback when the item is higher priced.

This is definitely true in my case. Most of the 'nicer' stuff I've sold (in perfect condition) has not had feedback.

Very irritating. I'm trying to build up stars as I've not been doing this long.
