Listing was a fixed price for a set of two items. Total was just over £100 but similar have been selling for between £150 and £175.

4 days after 'BIN', seller emailed to say one of the items was damaged and they'd refund. I asked what the damage was because I might still want both (and repair the damage). Seller then offered the undamaged item for 90% of the original price of both items Hmm.

After a few emails flying back and for then no reply from the seller, I asked for a refund and eventually opened a case. Seller responded and said a refund would be issued last week.

Case escalated yesterday and still no refund. Will I get a refund if the seller has no funds in PP and no other means to refund? No word from eBay either. I've only opened one case before and eBay refunded within an hour of escalating the case so now I'm concerned that I won't see my £100 again.

You can also report your seller for non-performance so if you do not hear from her about your refund in next 24hrs ring e-bay sometimes the amount of the refund dictates how long it takes, don't worry about no funds in her pay-pal e-bay will refund and then chase her for payment.Refuse any cancellation request she may send as she will have to then pay her fee's on the sale.

Irecently won a Betty Jackson cardi for 1.99 which I was very pleased with and duly paid. A couple of days later I got an email form the vendor saying her dry cleaner had shrunk the item so she was withdrawing it and she refunded me. I didn't really believe her, I think she was just disappointed at the low price it got. As it was just a suspicion I didn't give her any reviews, good or bad. Maybe I should have.

Thanks for the replies :)

The thing that is annoying me most is that the seller stated the price they wanted so it's not that I just got lucky and won on low bids.

Any idea how I find the number for eBay? I tried emailing them yesterday but I just kept going around in circles and always directed back to open a dispute Hmm

try live chat instead?

And if you have escalated it you just need to wait for someone to look at it. You will get a refund if they have no proof of delivery so don't worry.

And please do neg to warn others.

Thanks, I'll investigate live chat. Phoning was a nightmare and got me nowhere!!!

I escalated the case on Monday and had hoped it would have been dealt with by now.

Will definitely neg...just got to think how best to word it Grin
