How does this work? Is it fishy?
I bid $15 on something and someone outbid me, yet 24 hours later the same item is relisted?
Does that suggest they were shilling and I failed to bite?

Would you report?

Maybe they had more than 1 of the same item.

Maybe the seller and they buyer came to a mutual agreement (various reasons) to cancel the transaction.

There are a few reasons. Why not message the seller and ask?

hmm - might sound a bit cheeky. OK - those seem suitable reasons. ta

I'd say it just means the seller has more than one of the item. pretty common on ebay

I disagree - could easily be shill bidding. Have they bid on other items from that seller?

And it could be something totally innocent. I have just had an item that sold on Saturday evening and the buyer contacted me on Sunday morning to say that he'd just read the description and it wasn't what he wanted.

This is not fishy or shill bidding - it's as a result of a buyer being b....y stupid! I made a second chance offer and am not trying to cheat anyone.

everything the bidder has bid on in the last 30 days has been from this one seller though - so no it doesn't look innocent really does it.

Shill bidding, for sure!
Betcha the winning bid wasn't placed in the last 6 seconds, giving you plenty of time to bid more?
I refuse to bid when people play that game - if I do, it's only if there is no other bid, and in the last 6 seconds.
