hi we have sold a car on ebay, collection only and cash on collection. There was a minimum set and someone has bid and the system has automatically accepted the bid. We have had an email from customer services to say that he thought he was bidding and not going to accept and that he had to contact us to discuss. where do we stand with this. surely if you bid you must be prepared to buy. I understand that we can't force him to buy but we had another coming to view and now he may think this has been sold when this buyer may back out.

you just file a non payment dispute against them to get your fees back. You can't force them to pay if they don't want it. Then once closed 4 days later you either relist or do a second chance offer. And add the buyer to your blocked bidder list too.
