Royal Mail Signed For. No signature after a week of despatch

Is it common for the post person to just deliver it and not ask for a signature if the item is small enough for the letter box? There seems to be no progress of an item that I sent a week ago and I've not heard anything from the buyer.

yes very common - and if the buyer hasn't chased it up so can presume they have received it.

This is why I use Hermes and not RM as they never bother with a signature - waste of money tbh.

Ours seem to be very scrupulous about getting a signature.
