Sending to Jerusalem

Silly me didn't list international postage but the winning bidder is from Jerusalem. They've bought a pair of children's crocs (eBay advised £5.50 for UK postage) and are waiting for me to adjust the invoice before paying. Help!

Package it up, weigh it and use the Royal Mail site to work out postage?

You need to weigh the parcel ( at a post office if you have no scales) and ask them how much it will cost to post. or go to the Royal Mail website and calculate online.

It is always unwise to guess weights or postage amounts!

or you send a cancellation request to get your fees back and relist with tighter settings to prevent buyers from abroad.

Thanks all for your help. I'll pack it up and do the calculations.
I won't cancel - my fault and not buyer so I'll tighten my auction for next time. Lesson learnt!

If you are going to send an invoice with a revised shipping amount, you might want to pick a Rolls Royce service that is fully tracked, signed for, and insured. This should be pretty expensive. You can send the invoice with a suggestion that if it's too high for the buyer you'd be willing to cancel if they'd like to cancel too.

Ok nauticant, that sounds like a good idea. Thank you.
