Send to a different address?

Have just sold an item, buyer paid instantly, but has sent me a massage asking me to post to a different address as the one on eBay/ paypal is incorrect. After a quick google I've replied that I can only send to the registered address, is that correct?

And what's the best way to sort it out? Cancel and re-buy once the address details are updated?

Thank you!

Ask them to add the new address to their paypal account. I had the same a few weeks ago and told the buyer unless they added the correct address I wouldn't post.Grin

no - you must send to the address in paypal. Or refund and ask them to pay again after adding the address in paypal correctly.

And send tracked.

if the seller doesn't send tracked to the address in paypal they have no seller protection.

Hype it to them that they could lose buyer protection if they don't use an address linked to the paypal account.

Thanks everyone, glad I didn't post it to old address. I've not heard back yet from the buyer about how they want to proceed.
