After many months of trouble free buying and selling I seem to have had every problem going all at once,I bought and paid for straight away a Next Mac from a woman and I know I got it at a bargain bargain price (mac's not selling as time of year)I sent payment and next day she returned payment saying her dog had wee'd on it when she left it out in the back yard !!! then last week with my DILs birthday coming up I bought brand new in packet PJs for her to go into her birthday box, paid for again straight away and then 7 days after winning bid and payment I get e-mail saying his wife had sold them 3 weeks ago at a car boot sale,3 bleedin weeks ??? so he obviously did not have any intention of posting out asap did he,and the sellers are complaining they have no buyers what do they expect, its a good job most of the sellers are honest and keep to their word, sorry rant over.

I hope you negged them both and reported them as non performing sellers?

Did you check their feedback before purchase?

I'd be tempted to check whether the Next Mac seller has re-listed/sold the item?

I did check the feedback and the "mac" lady had 34 stars for buying but none for selling and I know you have to start somewhere don't you,if she was straight with me and didn't lie about the dog I would have asked her to do a realistic price for BIN and proceed from there so her loss, but the guy with the PJs he has 147 stars and good feedback so no excuse for him really,I have negged them both but can't open case for non-performance until 2morrow as that is latest date for PJ delivery even though he has now refunded me,after a polite reminder.I am keeping a look out for the mac resale and will notify e-bay if it pops up again. Not as mad as yesterday as I have had a good sleep. lol.

you can report as a non performing seller whenever - there is no restriction on when you can do that. It is not the same as opening a case.

I open cases, report them and leave negative feedback if I think it's appropriate.

Sometimes it takes me a day or so to get the packaging together for large items but I will always email and tell people their item is on its way. Some people are just rubbish.

Have faith, OP. Not everyone messes people about!
