Sending car roof rails

Has anybody any experience? What's the cheapest option you've found? Yodel and DPD apparently won't due to length (they are 146 cm long). Parcelforce will but I can't seem to book them online due to having only Firefox as a browser. Can I take a big parcel to my local post office? Or do I need to go to the depot with it to arrange it?

I just put in rough guesses with your length of parcel and got several quotes, including citylink. All works with firefox.
