Why do people do this (just a rant, really)?

I've got a couple of items listed which have some glass components, so I've clearly specified 'collect only'. I've had a potential buyer contact me asking if I'll post if they pay extra postage. I reply saying 'sorry, no can't guarantee etc.

Buyer contacts me again saying they'll take the risk, pay for insurance etc. Aaaahhhhggg! Why do people do this? I won't (and can't) post because the insurance is prohibitive if I could get anyone to insurance the glass.

Really frustrating.

add them to your blocked bidder list so they can't bid. And the risk is all yours, never theirs.
