Buyer hasn't collected signed for parcel from delivery office

I know I am being a bit silly but I'm getting slightly nervous about a parcel I sent out 2nd class signed for. Delivery was attempted 20th March and parcel was returned to the delivery office. Buyer has now had 2 Saturdays to collect but has not done so. Obviously it's up to them when they get it and they might work weekends but I'm just a bit surprised. I'm wondering where I stand if it gets sent back to me?

Oh dear, did you tell them it was there? I have had 2 occasions where I didn't actually get the notification card through my door as a buyer, and then I had a seller who complained and then hunted and found the card along with rather a lot of post in the daughters playhouse...

It might be worth a message to the buyer?

I had this with an item and it got returned to me.

The buyer never received a card to let her know it was there.

Oh, would that be OK, I wondered if it would be considered harassment or something? Grin

Contact the buyer and politely tell them you just happened to be checking if they'd received the item and see that it's awaiting collection. Mention that you understand that sometimes the notifiication card isn't provided so you're telling them just in case they don't know about the item waiting. I've had a surprising number of buyers tell me no card was provided who then go and pick up the item without a problem (the card doesn't always seem to be required).

You might want to also include the Royal Mail link (I assume you used them) so the buyer can instantly see the tracking information. Did you add this information to your ebay transaction record?

Well I sent them a very polite message earlier on, so we'll see if anything happens. The RM tracking info has been on ebay since I sent the parcel.

Haven't heard anything yet. NormHonal, what happened when you had an item returned - about fees and resending and stuff?

if it is returned you either give full refund and send cancellation request for he fees, or they pay you the postage again and you resend the item.

OK, thank you. I'm hoping they are on holiday or something.

Sorry for late reply.

I had to do a refund, the buyer didn't want it any more. Sad
