Who on earth would buy this www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Victorian-dolls-house-/251365759738 for any money, let alone £390??? Am I missing something?

I doubt anyone will at that price - you aren't missing anything. Seller is clearly over ambitious in the price they hope to achieve. Unless dolls houses only fit for firewood are worth a fortune.

Shock I would love to do that dolls house up but £390.00?

are we missing something?

Knock a 0 off and I might be more inclined

I'm going to have to put it in my watch list to see what it goes for Grin

Maybe it's because it's a proper antique. It's over 100 years old. And includes furniture and stuff?

I dunno, maybe restored it'd be worth thousands?

God it looks like a fire and flood training model! No-one's bid yet....doubt they will at that price, very optimistic I'd say.

Any item is only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it.
I have to admit I have been surprised at how much some treasure tat I've sold has gone for on Ebay.
That said though this one does seem be a rather ambitious price Grin

Sorry but just get real. I picked up a nice little Sylvanian mansion house for £15 at a table sale a few years ago - 3 stories with a conservatory. My girls loved it and had loads of fun. I am not kidding if anyone wants it for £10 pm me to pick it up. A few bits missing probably but snazz it up and be fab. nr Gloucester. Collect. Sorry can't be bothered to list with crazy buyers! Might get the crystal crazy!!

Never mind the Victorian one - I'm more Shock at this one, which appears to be an orange box.

Or maybe I'm missing something?

And it's had woodworm at some point, which has been treated, Zombie. How could you resist? Grin

A box with woodworm - yeah, £129.99 sounds about right! Hmm

GemmaTeller · 04/11/2013 14:55

omg Zombie hahahaha its just a painted orange box Grin

and the sad thing is, if we're all watching these items just to see if they sell, the poor chancers sellers will be thinking they've got loads of interest Grin

Oooh, its relisted at a cheaper price - £350.00!!

Report
Floggingmolly · 06/11/2013 14:13

Poor deluded gobshite! What idiot takes the trouble to treat woodworm in a fecking orange box at all, let alone try to flog it on for £130? Confused
