I only ever had one before and it didn't go through, buyer sent an instant payment on paypal in the end (she was a newbie and didn't really understand paypal Confused ). Just sold 2 things to the same buyer for nearly £70 and she's paid by echeque bot sure if it's all going to end badly again...

I think she's a newbie too looking at her ebay profile. ..

Is it worth stating no echeque in future on listing s?. I'm now stuck with a large box for an extra week until payment clears!

My iPad app starting sending e cheques when I updated to iOS 7. Bizarre!

I asked the sellers what they would prefer to do - either cancel and I would repay through the web site or wait for the cheque to clear.

I had to uninstall and then reinstall the app to get it working again.

echeques have always cleared but I tell buyer that it usually takes 10 days and item will only be sent then. Some people don't realise they have sent an echeque because it can happen when their card linked to ebay expires. Just make sure they know and know about the delay in getting the item to cover yourself for feedback on postage time.

They don't always bounce. Make sure you send £70 worth of goods with adequate insurance btw, recorded won't be sufficient.

they rarely if any bounce but to avoid early queries re non delivery send message

" thanks for paying but as you paid by e-cheque these take 7-10 days to clear, once cleared i will post straightaway regardsmamacoffee"

Thanks for all your help! That's very reassuring!! I've sent her a a message to say it will be delayed bc of the echeque. She actually asked me to delay posting it til later this week bc she's moving but the echeque will mean I cant post it till mid to end next week which is longer than I expected to have a massive box in my living room. ...

Thanks for the advice re insurance as well, I will check that when I book the the courier company.

Thanks again.
