Cancelling transaction for cash on collection item

Just got this message from eBay - the item was cash on collection, it was collected and paid for and I left positive feedback. Should I just leave it or is there any reason to challenge it? (can it be seen as a negative thing against me?)

X recently opened a case to cancel a transaction for an item you recently purchased:

Reason for request to cancel the transaction: The seller says that you have purchased the item in error.

no you need to refuse it, if you ignore it will close and the seller will get their fees back. If you accept it you are saying you didn't buy the item and they will also get the fees refunded.

what they are doing is pretending the sale didn't go through so they can rip ebay off and not pay fees.

I did wonder if there was something 'dodgy' going on as i thought eBay would have an option to set something as paid cash on collection.
