Seller not responding (collection item)

Hi,
I won an auction for 2 bikes on Monday - buyer to collect. As it was a good price, I paid via PayPal straight away to demonstrate intent to purchase (would be quite happy for seller to refund and ask for cash).
Hadn't heard anything on Tuesday, so sent polite message asking when I could collect. Still nothing yesterday, so sent another polite message and requested contact details from eBay.

Still no response today, so checked contact details and no email address there? So tried calling the telephone number and it's a fax machine. So I've sent another message, asking him to reply to my messages.

Is there anything else I can do? I was really hoping to give one of the bikes to my son for his birthday on Saturday!

You need to go to the resolution centre of eBay. And lodge a complaint. You should be able to go to paypal and make them cancel the payment too.
Go to eBay first.

Open a case against the seller - they have failed to respond to you even though you have paid. They will attempt to 'speak' to the seller and, if they can't will be able to refund your payment.

You mention that you got two bikes for a good price - the seller may think it was too cheap and is now trying to avoid selling to you.

Good luck - as the buyer Ebay really is your friend in this.

Yes was 2 bikes almost new for £35. So a good deal, but then again what did he think he'd get for them? The stupid bit is that my max bid was £60 - I'd have gone higher. I'm sure you're right though and he doesn't now want to sell.

I'll report to eBay tonight. Is just so annoying when the bikes would have been perfect. Is it worth sending one more message saying please could he respond before I ask eBay to intervene? Or would that count as a "theat"?!
