Seller saying they haven't received payment

Hi knowledgeable ebayers, some advice needed please.

I bought and paid for an item three days ago, not of large value (£9 total) but something that I need for my holiday in two weeks. It was an auction and I paid immediately I won.
Today I received an email from the seller saying they have not received payment - saying I hadn't paid and asking for payment before they will send the item.
My ebay and my paypal shows the item as paid for, which it was.
I have replied to the seller saying I did pay for it on the day I won it and asking her to please check her paypal.
I notice that it is a novice ebayer with less than ten sales under her belt.

Any advice on the best ways forwards with this?
If I need to open a case it will be difficult as I will be out of the country for three weeks with no easy internet access from the end of May.

Hopefully she will come back and acknowledge she has made a mistake and quickly put the item in the post. If she delays posting it I risk not having it in time for the holiday (which was the point of buying it).

I'm wondering if as a novice seller she may have specific issues with paypal - is there anything I can suggest to her to do or check out other than just log in to her paypal and see if it has received the payment?

Is there anything particular that could have gone wrong with her paypal?

wrong email address on listing - the payment shows as unclaimed in your ebay?

log into paypal, click on the payment and then it will show you which email it was made to. the seller should be able to add that wrong email address to their paypal account and accept your payment that way.

The payment is showing as 'completed' in my paypal - does this mean the seller has definitely received it? Thanks

and the email address it was sent to - can you give the seller that email address? It is probably an old address they don't use any more.

I'm not sure I have the time or the know how to try to sort this out for this seller, if the email thing is the issue.

Is there any way I can get my payment back and just cancel the transaction?

The seller's email address on paypal is different to the one showing on her ebay message that shows in my hotmail - that email is @members.ebay.co.uk

Ok problem solved - have had a message from the seller saying they have 'found' the payment and will send the item. I'll just chalk it up to an inexperienced ebayer Smile
