eBay

Seller refused to sell pushchair to me as wasn't the price she wanted

Recently won the bidding on the pushchair - buyer then messages saying she won't be selling it to me as it wasn't the price she wanted.

Have a feeling she will open a unpaid item case

What can I do

ImTooHecsyForYourParty · 30/03/2013 21:23

forward the message to ebay. Be the one to start a complaint.

fergoose · 30/03/2013 21:25

file a non performing seller report and leave appropriate feedback and stars.

fossil971 · 30/03/2013 21:26

Is it a novice seller who hasn't understood the way ebay works? In any case it is her mistake not yours. I've accidentally sold things too cheap/at wrong starting price before, I kicked myself but it's tough luck, an auction is a binding contract.

PoppyWearer · 30/03/2013 21:28

I just opened a case because I won a bid at £1 for a ski jacket. Buyer clearly wasn't happy with the price and didn't send it. Has given me a refund but am Angry because I wanted the jacket and now need to find another!

My buyer was dumb to open bidding at 99p but am not sure that's my problem!

BuggedByJake · 30/03/2013 21:28

She can't open a case if you pay. Pay for it then if she refuses to let you have it you can open a case.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 30/03/2013 21:29

That is too bad for her, and she should sell the buggy to you at the winning price. I second opening a non-performing seller case with eBay, and leaving some very cross, negative feedback.

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 30/03/2013 21:29

Stupid me didn't check her feedback before bidding. Seems she has done it a few times before.

Am about to leave feedback saying
'Refused to sell at the winning bid price, very rude seller'

She was rude when I stated that I would not be paying the price she stated in a message.

OP posts:
ChaosTrulyReigns · 30/03/2013 21:32

What sort of buggy was it? Did you get a real bargain?

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 30/03/2013 21:35

Was a bugaboo frog with raincover, footmuff, carrycot for £95 so not a bad price - seen them go for less and seen them go for more. She wanted. £250

OP posts:
BuggedByJake · 30/03/2013 21:40

If she wanted £250 she should've started it at £250! Leave negative feedback & report her so eBay put restrictions on her acc. If no one reports her she will keep doing it.

fergoose · 30/03/2013 21:41

so she should have started it for a higher price. All those final value fees she will have to pay if she keeps relisting it. If she sends you a cancellation request do not ignore it, if you refuse it she won't get her £9.50 fvf refunded but if you ignore it and it closes automatically she will get those fees back - maybe a bit mean, but tough really isn't it.

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 30/03/2013 21:42

Reported and left feedback.

Received message from her 5mins ago - saying I was rude for not paying her price

OP posts:
GeoffVader · 30/03/2013 21:43

How silly. I wanted £50 for mine but I started bidding at 25 and got 30, I still sent it! That's how it works!

PoppyWearer · 30/03/2013 21:45

I sold a Bee bought new in 2011 for £275 in the last month (and was delighted to find a buyer). £250 for a Frog is unrealistic!

HotCrossWeaselInSinisterBonnet · 30/03/2013 21:46

You can get a used Cam or £150-£200 the woman is deluded.

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 30/03/2013 21:52

The most I've seen a frog go for is £125 and that was with loads of extras.
Totally deluded woman

ENormaSnob · 30/03/2013 21:57

Report and leave shitty feedback.

Stupid cow.

No one in their right mind would pay 250 for a frog.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 30/03/2013 22:05

is it a business seller?

That is crap ebaying!

SaveWaterDrinkMalibu · 30/03/2013 22:13

Isn't a business seller

My lovely shitty feedback got me a shitty message stating she would be leaving me fucking crap feedback as I fucked her over!

Hmm yeh ok

OP posts:
fergoose · 30/03/2013 22:14

well a seller can't leave neg feedback or a neg statement, and if they do they can be reported for that also :)
