He won't leave

Hubby wants to separate as he feels we have grown apart. We have been together 25 years and own a house. I have suggested we work it out but he won't. I have now asked him to leave but he says he owns this house and can't afford to go. I'm seeing a solicitor next week but wondered whether I can force him to go as it is confusing for my ds and dd. He just thinks we will sell the house pay off his debts and split things 50/50. I'm so frustrated as I know it will make the split become nasty any advice please

I'm in the same position and I'm afraid to say that he doesn't have to leave, it's his house as much as yours and it doesn't matter who calls it a day. I'm in the middle of all this as well so not much advice I'm afraid. Both of you need to see a solicitor.
