Divorce/separation

is standard marriage in UK considered "in community of property with accrual"?

I was married in the UK in 1999,
getting a divorce elsewhere,
but they are saying that the flat we bought together but was registered in my name needs to be split.
I don't dispute that, but he is pushing for 50/50 which means I would have to sell as I do not have enough to buy out.
He does not care that it means me and the kids get displaced, he wants the money to put down on a deposit for a flat for him and his girlfriend, where as I would not be eligible for another mortgage.

thank you for the reply.
I no longer have strong ties to the UK - outside of friends living there, and do not plan on returning…
Hopefully a judge here will rule on keeping the kids in their home.
