H and I (divorce just started) own our house. It's on the market.
We want to sell it and rent 2 separate houses. H will fund his rent while I want to claim LHA and top up from maintenance.
Do I have to wait for the divorce to be finalised before I can claim? How does it work with landlords? Do you start the tenancy from when council start paying LHA or won't council pay LHA until I have a tenancy?
