Second Opinion

I have been to mediation and am gradually coming to an agreement with STBXH regarding settlement.

I intend to ask my solicitor if she thinks my settlement if reasonable.

I also want to ask her if I've overlooked anything.

I wouldn't mind a second opinion from another solicitor but don't know if it's appropriate to do this. It's not that I think the first one is incompetent or anything, he's been great (as far as I can tell) but I wouldn't mind having someone else's view on it.

Is it appropriate to seek a second opinion - at another practice?

Yes, of course and you don't even have to tell the first firm you have sought it and you could also ask the lawyers on here too.

Thanks, Xenia. Are you one of them?
