DIY divorce or go through solicitor?

Just that, really.

Has anybody DIYed and regretted it? We had a Separation Agreement signed for the financials when he first moved out, and we have now been apart two years. No child custody or maintenance or anything like that to sort out, although we have two young DC. Still on good terms with STBX, and we share the kids 50:50 (hence no maintenance, etc.)

I've been looking on Wikivorce, trying to see if I can get my head around the whole thing, and I can feel my stress levels rising. I don't want to spend £550 on top of the court fees of £385, but I suppose this will be worth it for less stress. Uggh, I feel sick! Does £550 sound about average? (I'm not in London).

Thanks.

I am currently using Managed Divorce online (about £900 including court fees and clean break agreement) and it has worked for us as finances were agreed fairly on and I felt it was less painful and likely to cause aguments than using a solicitor although I did consult one with the details £100 just to check he thought it was fair and he did. Good Luck! The paperwork is annoying though. Just got to take my Absolute instruction in tomorrow.
