Just need some basic advice........
My pre decree nisi arrived today. I can't afford a solicitor as I am trying to help my son at the moment so I wondered if I could ask a few questions...

  1. It asks if I am NOT contesting it am I happy to pay costs. I am not as the timing is not great financially and I didn't file. It asks why I don't want to pay. Is it enough to say ' not financially well off and didn't file'

  1. We have no money as such. The house was repossessed when he left and he then refused to co operate with santander. He has ticked all the fianancial boxes though such as 'seeking financial restitution' and 'property dividing' etc. Does this mean he can do it in the future? He pays no maintenance as he has them a lot and I deemed this as fair. I am just no sure why these boxes are all ticked............

I only have seven days to return this and am confused.
Some of our contact arrangments were never agreed eg christmas day and I said I would see a mediator but was never contacted.

Shall I just sign.........

Don't sign whatever you do. Get a free half hour with a family law society solicitor.
