I imagine by now you've seen the doctor. He/she will hopefully forward you to a specialist in this field. Mind you, it's so easy to locate the info online, just put Autism or Asperger DSM into Google and you'll find all you need. Or type in Temple Grandin who is a well known highly intelligent woman with asperger's. What makes you think you have AS (Asperger's syndrome)? Has a close friend told you? It is really important that you get a clinical diagnosis. IN my experience there is huge ignorance in the medical world on the subject despite the advances in brain scanning etc..Good luck

Hi, my DP has Asperger's. He discovered this as a mature adult and says diagnosis and learning about it has helped him understand really important things about himself.

There is a Delphi Forum 'AS and Their Partners' (forums.delphiforums.com/asandpartners) which is a mixed forum for people with and without AS and has a lot of positive stuff and a generally positive attitude. There are other forums with very similar names some of which are more about people venting their irritation, can be useful but I found more inspiration from the positive one.

Good luck with your research and doctor smile
