I have CP, and an eight month old who is just on the cusp of walking/crawling. Judging by the turn of speed already achieved in the baby walker I am going to struggle to keep up. Does anyone else have tips on how to walk with/ run after a very active baby when you have trouble walking and standing yourself? Reigns are out I think one tug and I might fall on top.

I'm afraid I was going to suggest reins. I have bad balance and mobility and used to use the pushchair as a walking frame and hold onto the reins as well when we were out. Reins gives them a bit of freedom, but means that when they fall, it's easy to haul them up again.

They do start to get to know that you can't move too well and learn to walk at your pace. Remember that, although he will have speed, he'll not be able to go quickly for far. Just make sure that when he runs, it's in a safe place like the park or the garden smile

Hope this helps. I'll think about more later! Mine are now 6 and 4 and walk well with my Sholley shopping trolley and know when they can run and when they need to walk nicely. You need to be strong with boundaries from the beginning though.
