Hello. I need to entertain 3 DC (9, 6 and 8 months) for an afternoon near Dover / Folkestone tomorrow. I had planned on Dover Castle but heavy rain forecast. Would that still be ok? Any other recommendations for me please? Thanks!
Lots of inside stuff at Dover Castle - underground tunnels etc - though you have to walk outside to get betwwen them
other than swimming, cinema ,soft play, there isn't much else. The castle is better in good weather but tunnels and keep are good (and dry)
i would still go to dover castle tbh, there is stuff to do inside and they might have a fire lit in the keep so you can warm up
Dover castle has lots to do. Shopping at the de bradelei wharf, which has at least one place to eat. Swimming pool. Playing on the beach in the wet.
de bradlei wharf is probably a last resort, the shops leave a lot to be desired
There is a fairly large indoor play area in Folkestone called kidz planet, which would work well for the older two.
Thanks all. Dover castle in the rain was a very big hit!
