Good morning,

I've been reading some really interesting stuff on here, thought I'd check out the Dads section.

I'm 24 and married my Wife last May, we found out 4 weeks ago that we're expecting our first born (due around 3rd October 2015)!

All sorts of feelings and emotions - obviously ecstatic but feeling huge pressure to earn enough to provide for my family.

Daniel

Hi Daniel, welcome to Mumsnet and congratulations on your baby! I expect most men feel the same, I know that my husband did. I love Mumsnet, it's made me laugh, cry and given great advice over the years.

Congratulations on the baby and marriage - guess you must be settled into it now. Get stuck in with the baby dont end up with it being just her domain, you should be able to look after the baby equally e.g she could stay away and you'd be confident to look after them - thats your goal.

Hello Daniel

I was a Dad two weeks ago and am 25.

Have a read of my blog about what I found about breastfeeding and just being a new dad
