Do you assume or azzume?

I've noticed that dd has started azzuming, which I find odd. Trying to work out where she got it from -presumably school (which is fairly posh. Is this a posh thing?)

I'm Swedish but have only heard of 'assume' - never 'azzume'!

I've encountered assume and ashume but never azzume - and I know lots of vair posh people.

Sounds more West Country than posh when I say azzume out loud.

Ãœber-RP would be more 'assyume' wouldn't it?

I have been heard the word "assume" read as "azzume" by our teacher in history who trained us and told us about Gen. Paulino Santos....
