Anyone else thinking about going to this? My husband fancies taking our children (7 and 4) but I'm not sure. The video on the Lollibop website looks great but I'm worried that it will be packed and lots of activities that we need to pay extra for.
Did anyone go last year?

madnortherner Fri 13-Jul-12 10:51:07

I haven't been but it does look great. It seems as though it's all free once you've bought your ticket.

See: What is Lollibop where it says "Plus once you have paid your ticket price everything is FREE (apart from food, drinks and gifts from our markets)".

We're up in Yorkshire, otherwise I'd be going myself.

Any one wanting to buy Lollibop tickets should go to wish4ticket to buy their tickets its the cheapest ticket selling site ive found

JinxyCat Fri 13-Jul-12 20:23:14

I went last year and it was really good, you really didn't have to pay for anything apart from food and drink - although there were still queues.

I'd really recommend it, in fact am buying my tickets now - thanks for the tip on wish4ticket, joey0182

we went last year took our 2 kids one was under 1 at the time and all had a brilliant time. my DS was totally awe at meeting Bob the builder and watching Zing Zillas on stage and there was ample baby change and feeding areas and even though it tipped it down with rain for a fair amount of the day we still had a great time. I particularly liked all the bouncing kangeroo men on stilts and the huge moving sculptures there was a giant lobster I remember. All in all although expensive it was worth it and we are going back again this year. We took a packed lunch to reduce the cost.

Thanks so much for your reports, looks like we'll be going!

Dianek Wed 01-Aug-12 09:14:32

check out some reviews i've found http://www.festivalkidz.com/festivals/reviews-lollibop-2011/ was thinking of taking my 2 yr old, the reviews warn of long queues for everything which is a bit of a turn off and the fact that you can't really get that close to any of the characters... I'm still undecided, I think that my LO would have fun but I don't fancy all the queues...

Couldnt recommend it enough!

SarahJ01 Fri 10-Aug-12 11:11:20

Do you know if the wish4tickets offer is live yet? I've logged on to their website and can see a space for a promo code, but don't know what it is. Does anyone know? I can't quite bring myself to spend the full amount on the tickets, but really want to take my son!

Bump... Anyone have the MN password for this?

milkymocha Mon 13-Aug-12 13:08:10

I uses the wish4ticket code a few weeka ago, tried to do it again (by pressing the same link on the email sent to me) and it no longer deducted 50% so i assume it is no longer working sad
Sorry,
If i see any more codes i will post them here for you all!

Thanks milky. Appreciate you trying!

Hi there,

Our 50% off Mumsnet offer which featured in our Money Saver newsletter was valid until the 2nd of August. We can see that the offer is still active on Ticketmaster and our Sales team are currently in contact with LolliBop to see what's happening - we'll get back to you shortly.

Clairerogers123 Wed 15-Aug-12 14:03:51

sarnav Wed 15-Aug-12 19:46:03

How much is it for a family of four? I've wanted to take the dc for years but never looked into it enough and the ticket sites just crash on my phone.

Southwest Thu 16-Aug-12 01:18:57

You can get for for 50 pounds I think

Plus of course the £1.75 fee you are charged for the pleasure of printing the tickets on your own computer!!

JNRA Thu 16-Aug-12 08:41:03

Do you think my 8 nearly 9 year old daughter and her friend will enjoy the festival. Anyone taken children a similar age....

Thanks

Renu01 Thu 16-Aug-12 10:52:59

HI, anyone hlelp, I hae been trying like mad on ticketmaster for 4 tickets but it is not letting me do it, is there anywhere else I can book them with tthe same promotional, also is the mumsnet promo code still valid?

Please can someone help on this I have to take 4 little stars, 2 of which are mine and 2 my sisters.

squigs31 Thu 16-Aug-12 11:14:32

Hi, I've tried purchasing family of 4 and also tried 4 individual with promo code mentioned above but no success - has anyone else managed to do today

mumtomoley Thu 16-Aug-12 15:47:38

The option isn't there anymore to select the discounted tickets, so I think this must have been removed now.

There was an option below 'Advanced single' ticket I think, that had discounted ticket, and then you put the offer code in next to it.

bros Thu 16-Aug-12 23:14:30

Hi, am over from Ireland for week, staying in Walthamstow with 3 young kids. Wondering is lollibop festival worth a visit? or what would you recommend to do around this area. Appreciate any tips. Bros

Southwest Sat 18-Aug-12 15:46:39

Lollipop saws described as the best day ever by my 4 yr old, however I think I wouldn't have been quite so keen if I had payed full price.

Museum of childhood in bethnal green is good, discover in Stratford is highly rated, maybe go to Westfield and try and get a look at the Olympic park, try starting a thread in the holiday section you will get more replies.
