DS was looking in his doctor who annual and it came up with a page about different real life historical figures that the doctor has "met". He got really excited when I said they were real and then told him that Van Gogh did some paintings which still exist and maybe we could go and see them, he decided he wanted to.

I don't really know much about art despite studying it at college blush is there an easy way to find out where an artist's work is displayed? I bet it's not even in this country!

Am kicking myself also because we live in Shakespeare county and despite the fact that Shakespeare was on the same page I happened to pick Van Gogh as an example of someone who has things you can still go and look at blush

Pretty sure there are a few at the National Gallery in London.

The Van Gough museum in Amsterdam is amazing. Not much help I know. But it is spectacular. There are floors and floors of the darn things!
