Today looks like it could be very spendy as I am going to transfer my house deposit over to the solicitors, I am waiting for dd to come home so she can check the numbers with me!! I may cry when the money vanishes.

Otherwise have spent £5 on lunch and £20 in Sainsburys, got a fair bit for that - 2 bras, a t.shirt for dd, a pair of sunglasses and a dvd!!

Dd has a school disco later so thats another £3 I think.

Thanks girlie.

£168. We got to blackgang about an hour ago and I'm not waiting for dd's friend to turn up. I'm so excited! Luckily we get free re-entry for seven days so we will come back again tomorrow or Friday so we can make the most of it as we won't have time now.

I have been reading but sorry for not responding to all of your updates!

Hi girlie of course we'd hunt for the new thread.
Dead excited for you and your dd getting your new house, it's all becoming very realGrin
Sat night is big big movie night in our house, as it's on the irish tv station that night. Posted my meal on a facebook group I'm on and mentioned it was an easy dinner just in time for big big movie when someone commented it's not on tonight because of the GAA, I was horrified! I held back from searching sky store for a movie as they're at least €5 plus and found one on our sky + box. Dd watched it, ds pottered, I dipped in and out of film, fb, mumsnet and housework

That's good, Girlie, you have a few days to pack up before your holiday. I would advise all your in essentials, such as books, dvds and most kitchen stuff. I made a big mistake in leaving my kitchen till last when I moved last year and ended up having to come back to do a good bit of it, the day after we moved. Try to get hold of plenty of newspaper and bubble wrap for your delicates and you can get packing boxes on eBay. I paid about £15 for 20 last year.

Wreck, glad you made it! Smile

Thanks girlie and glad you made it wreck.
I was very restrained in town, £20 on niece's birthday, £1.99 on Boots curl creme and £2.30 parking. The bloke in front of us in the car park found a quid on the floor and gave it to DD! That was quite sweet, she was very excited then tried to eat it! I shall let her choose something in the pound shop to spend it on!!

Oops disorganised mummy that I am forgot to get a snack in for Brownies (they're doing the sport badge and apparently that means they can't possibly manage until after the session :o)

The thought of packing makes me feel quite stressed Grin dds bedroom Shock she has so much bloody stuff I do try really hard to keep it on top of it but she is a collectaholic! I have just gone through the craft cupboard and binned stuff that hasn't seen the light of day for a long time, I think all that sort of stuff will have to go in dds bedroom in the new house as we will be short on storage.

I think I will have a day at home tomos and have a proper sort out and start to pack.

Thinking about food for the next few days.
Tonight - chips, fishfingers and beans.
Tomorrow - sausage roast.
Friday - pizza and salad.
Sat going to my friends poss having a take away.
Sunday - spag bol (must remember to take out of freezer)
Monday - pasta and pesto with what ever else is left over in the fridge!

Probably not the healthiest of meal planning but will get us through to when we go away.

Girlie, leave DD'S room until last if it's stressing you and pack up non-essentials in the other rooms first. It's amazing what you can get done in a couple of days. I did most of my last house in just 2 days, as I came down with a stomach bug the weekend before moving. Admittedly, having hardly any clutter in the first place really helped me with that. Ideally, you should decluttering before moving, but if you haven't got much time, you can always de-clutter after the move, when you can unpack at leisure.

Evening.

Really excited for you Girlie, such an exciting, and scary time. I agree with Creme, the kitchen will always take you longer than you think. Declutter if you can, but not if you haven't got the time. Remember, you are moving money, not spending it Smile

Training has been cancelled tonight as it's horrible here, but I'm glad as I am tired.

Spent £9 today.

Oooh I'm getting so excited about our trip now. I still have shitloads to do before that Blush but just discovered that one couple is in fact staying BOTH nights in the same hotel as us, so we will get lots of time with them! Haven't seen them since Christmas (and before that it was Christmas 2014!) so I am really really happy about this :)

I fell off the last couple of threads so I'm back as just seen new thread. Thanks for starting Girlie.

All finances a bit crushing at the moment. Actually starting to worry me but I'm sure it will be fine. But only I'm sensible. And that's where my trouble lies!!

Updated spends today:
€2 on sweets and chocolate, I had a migraine yesterday and I'm craving sugar today, hopefully it's not a sign that the migraine will return this evening.
€33 on shoes from Debenhams, I tried them on at the weekend but all the pairs in store were scuffed so I ordered online, I used a cash back website for the first time so looking forward to seeing what I get back from that! Thanks again for the tip lila, I didn't know you could use them in ROI.
Also re your query earlier, I think if I were you, I will be giving up my second job, unless it was of really significant financial benefit to your family. I think working one full time job and having two small children is hugely busy as it is and I think you would need to be Superwoman to manage any more than that. That might be just me though!
