Reduced items shop

So, first evening shop tonight in search of reductions.
Where to go? What time? Do they move reduced food to another shelf or just put stickers on?
Inspired by my friend coming in Sat evening with some lovely Morrisons goodies yellow sticker'd. I usually shop in Aldi but have Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose near me. Tesco is a 24 hour so don't know if they would have an end of day reduction.

It depends on the shop, our local sains does good reductions at 3pm onwards, tescos is 7pm, 3 on Sunday's.

You can ask the staff what the best time is.

Best of luck.

We have a waitrose in the petrol station that goes mad late afternoon - pizzas for £1, bags of carrots for 30p, loaves of bread for 20p. In the large store its saturday afternoons when the amazing knock downs happen.

Go and have a look and ask someone on the shop floor when the bargains come out.

I find its really hit and miss and we grab the bargains when we see them have had amazing bargains I'm our little co-op at 2pm on a Monday like chicken breast for £1.50 a pk and whole chickens for £2 and then other times even an hr before closing 50p off full price, I have found over past couple years they don't reduce by much as more people buy reduced stuff if that makes sense.

Sometimes they have a different area they move things to, they want you to buy it after all.

It's trial and error at first.

I sauntered into my local waitrose tonight, so we are having cauliflower cheese, sausages, mash, ciabatta, strawberries and cream. Yuuuum. All for about a fiver.

Our local small Tesco express marks items down from about 4.30, then they go even lower around 6pm. I get loaves of bread for 13p(small) and 20p ( large). Today I got a big pack of stir fry veg with sauce and noodles for 26p, peppers go down to 20p. Coop is very hit and miss, there used to be good bargains in the meat section every morning but now the manager has apparently been told by head office that reductions can't happen until ater 4pm.
