Hi was out today with Ds for a walk and it seems my purse has been took out of my bag I have no idea where abouts or even how this is happened I didn't notice anything or feel for that matter .
I was due to go shopping with that money as it's my last for a week
Is there any where I can get some help I've reported it to the police who said food bank but I've googled and it's not open until Tuesday now
The police can't do anything about my purse and I've just spent the past hour cancelling my bank card there was £150 in notes and change
Also .ive asked family to lend me but for there own reasons they can not .i get my wAges on Friday but it seems so far away help please is there any where that can help I have bad credit so the bank won't help me out

No food in at all?

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie Sat 09-Aug-14 20:22:09

Make a list of everything you have in the fridge, freezer and cupboards and I'm sure there'll the people who can help you make the most out of what's in the cupboards.

Welcome to mumsnet! Sorry about your purse, that's really bad luck. I'd suggest selling some things over Facebook (shoes and clothes?) until you've got £20 or so to spend on pasta, sausages, peas and similar. That should see you through a week with just you and one child.

Good luck.

No I have bits in but not very much
I'm more annoyed with the palaver of having it stolen
I'll make list shortly and post it

LiberalLibertines Sat 09-Aug-14 20:24:29

Oh love what a nightmare. So, you can get some food on Tuesday, can you survive until then? flowers

AlpacaLypse Sat 09-Aug-14 20:24:42

Are you a member of a Church or other religious group? They'll usually help and normally in a far less judgy way than you might think.

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:25:20

Thankyou will be looking what I can sell and will get it on eBay or something similar

DrewsWife Sat 09-Aug-14 20:27:50

Go to local Salvation Army. You don't need to believe or be a member. They will offer help.

I'm a Salvationist and I know they will do what is humanly possible to help.

TeaAndALemonTart Sat 09-Aug-14 20:28:44

Maybe someone in your family can lend you some pasta etc till Tuesday?

PlacidApricots Sat 09-Aug-14 20:29:25

Trollsworth hmm Op where are you, might be able to help with food bank stuff.

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:32:04

I'd say Tuesday yes

I've got fish fingers
Chicken burgers
Cheese and broc pasta sauce
Mash tags (half bag)
2 Tins of peas
I've got ham and bread so that's ok for lunches
Still got fruit left over from last week for snacks

That's enough until Tuesday for sure
I just panicked hope the scrote chokes with whatever they spend my money on !!

Higheredserf Sat 09-Aug-14 20:32:08

If you feel confident enough to post a rough location then perhaps someone would bring along a bag of food as previous poster mentioned. It has happened before on here.

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:33:38

I've just text my cousin to see if they can lend me £10
Waiting on reply now it's only until Thursday for food as I get paid Friday I'm just so annoyed

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:35:56

Aww that's very sweet but I honestly don't expect food of people I just thought there would be something in place for over the weekends with food banks being shut I'm sure I'll manage just annoyed to think I budget and then get it stolen
My cousin possibly will borrow me but think she's in work until 10

ssd Sat 09-Aug-14 20:40:22

thats rotten luck op!!

hope your cousin helps you out

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:45:45

I'm just so annoyed it's happened to me and the bank don't make it easy reporting things either
Yes me to I have enough food until Tuesday at least anyway if she can't I'll contact the food bank when there open

FlossyMoo Sat 09-Aug-14 20:46:33

That's crap OP I am sorry flowers

Your list of food sounds fine until Tuesday.

Have a look around the house/in pockets/down the sofa/hand bags for change. A bag of pasta tubes from asda is only 29p to go with the sauce.
Bread buns are 85p for 6 so you can have chicken burgers and baking potatoes are 98p for 4.
Not sure what Mash tags are but would they go with fish fingers & peas???

Not sure if you live near an asda but I'm pretty sure most supermarkets are the same apart from Waitrose smile

TeaAndALemonTart Sat 09-Aug-14 20:48:35

What bank are you with out of interest?

Shouldn't take that long to cancel a card.

LiberalLibertines Sat 09-Aug-14 20:49:47

Of course you're annoyed, that's a hell of a lot of money to lose.

What a scumbag eh? <<joins in with wishing karma on said scumbag>>

Trollsworth Sat 09-Aug-14 20:50:43

What's the skeptical face for? Am I the only person in the country who sells things like unworn high heels on Facebook?

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:51:19

Yes there wierd little potatoe shapes Ds loves them at the moment
I'll be rummaging in my old bags etc just incase there's any odd change
I'll survive just so annoyed

FlossyMoo Sat 09-Aug-14 20:52:46

I thought it was a perfectly reasonable suggestion Troll maybe it was a mistake and they meant to put a grin or smile?????

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:53:50

mumof1boy07 Sat 09-Aug-14 20:55:05
