Do you have one near you?

It's brilliant! Discovered one not too far from me and got some great bargains.

Some thermal fleece lined knee highs for 99p, so toasty and warm! Great stocking fillers for kids, toiletries very cheap, cleaning stuff, food like crackers, jar sauces and cereals, HIPP organic baby meals for 12 months + 3 for £1!

Just thought I'd share Smile

I get my Nicky toilet rolls there - £3.99 for an 18 pack - good quality too. Good for toys and sweets.

I can also recommend their pesto, big tins of tomatoes, biscuits and coffee. we get our washing detergent and fabric softener (if we get it) from there.

DH says that the toilet paper is like the paper wrappers on a mcdonalds straw! Works fine tho!

lots of good stuff - some of the housewares are the same as you see in Homebase etc, just half the price.

The Nicky toilet roll is thicker - top quality.
I used to get all the presents for the children to take to parties in Home Bargains - stock up when I saw something good.
most stuff is a bargain in there, it's just unreliable as to if they have it in or not, so you need to buy stuff when you see it.

yep true- they had some massive laundry bags a few weeks ago lovely spotty print. £1.49 ideal to store stuff, went back to get more and nothing left.

I went into my local one for the first time last week and was really impressed - Hovis crackers for 49p (they are around £1.50) in Sainsburys, Krackerwheat 59p, Jammie Dodgers 39p. Packs of 4 tins Princes chopped tomatoes £1.99. All with long use by dates. Also found some good birthday cards for the dcs friends, 29/39p each. Large boxes of Yorkshire tea (160 bags I think) for £3.99 - I bought the same size box in Asda earlier this month for £5.

Do they still add the tax on at the till rather than in the price? It was a few years ago now but it put me off the place a bit.

no, the price on the shelf is what you pay

I can second the recommendations for Nicky toilet roll and pesto. I make special home bargains trips for toilet roll, pesto, hair dye and toothpaste.

Bloody love Home Bargains, make a trip there at least once a week

I love the tins of Italian soups they do. I buy my special hair treatments in there now, a lot cheaper than in Body care.

Jammy dodgers for 39p.

Loads of great cleaning products.

I love it!!

I go there for laundry capsules or whatever they are called and random homewares. They sell plastic baskets in pastel colours for 59p thru are all over my house. Lots in store is cheaper than the£1 shop!

Marvellous home & bargain!

Love the jars of garlic paste 59p and chilli. Great for quick and tasty pasta.

Their 29p flapjacks are scrummy.

Huge bag of fairy dishwasher tabs half the price of tesco.

Kids toys are super.

Warning: you can't go in to buy one thing, I find it impossible not to pick up all the bargains.
