Is it worth doing a Sainsbos shop to get the Nectar points?

We have a code for 3,000 Nectar points with a £75 online shop with Sainsbos. Never shop with them normally, do Aldi weekly then Tesco/Asda once every 6-8 weeks.

With Xmas coming up (we have 12 people & 4 dogs for lunch!!) we know we will need to a biggish shop at one of the big supermarkets so is this deal worth it when Sainsbos are likely to be more expensive than Asda/Tesco?

That's a decent amount of nectar points if you'd buy the sort of things you'd normally buy at the sort of prices you'd normally pay.

Looking on my supermarket for the alcohol, mixers, snacks, etc Asda is coming out about £10 cheaper overall for the same(ish) shop.

I might be really sad and see if I can find £75 worth of stuff Sainsbos is cheapest on then buy the rest elsewhere needs to get life

3000 points = £15? so that's a 20% discount. if you can find £75 worth of offers/bargains/better deals than 20% less elsewhere then do it Smile

(I suspect though that unless it's something they don't sell at all, Aldi prices will be better than 20% less than Sainsburys across the board)

I'd use if for the stuff you can't get at aldi - branded toiletries, nappies, and specialist baking stuff are the bits we have to go elsewhere for.

On another thread here somebody had compared her aldi shop to several other supermarkets and sainsburys was the second cheapest each time, after Aldi.

Always do your online shopping on mysupermarket.com, as they compare your trolley across the major 4. Asda is always cheaper for us. .They don't include Aldi or Lidl probably because you can't get everything there so agree with Pootles2010 on that score.
