Hi,

Just about to become a sahm and am pondering on some ways to boost my income. I heard that some people do really well entering lots of competitions and wondered if anyone has any experience of doing this? Where do you start? Can you win stuff or money or both? Is there any strategy to it at all?

TIA x

My dd has 'earned' £50 by completing on line surveys over the past year. Slow work but she' was delighted when she finally got the cheque. Newvistallive if you're interested

Thanks Vampirereflection, thats just the sort of thing I meant, a bit of "work" in the evenings and who knows what i'll win!

Can I ask, do you do it? Have you been sucessful?

I used to pre DCs. I won a fair few things, nothing major though. It was always nice to come home and find a package from the postman.

A list of a few memorable prizes:

  1. Years supply of Ben and Jerry ice-cream
  2. Theatre show and meet the celebs back stage
  3. Case of wine
  4. Light sabre from Star Wars film

All really lovely prizes but you certainly couldn't make a career out of it. :)
