It's for my screenplay.

I expect it's just a bog standard rejection email from a receptionist, as hasn't come from email address of the agent i emailed it to.

I wasn't even expecting a 'feck off' this quickly. They must think it's an absolutely awful script, or they might've mulled it over a bit more. I don't want to open it as i know i'll be depressed for the whole day, if not the whole of Christmas.

come and give me moral support. I don't want to open it 'alone'!

I can hold your hand for the next 10 mins or so until I need to go out.
Will that help?

i just can't do it.

perhaps i could forward it to dh without opening it.... is that possible? and then he could open it for me.

I am not feeling very brave.

I don't think so, I just tried, clicked once on the email and hit forward and it opened the file,... you could always do it with your eyes closed or really screwed up?

Won't it just be an acknowledgement?
Do they read them that quickly?

You know how you're supposed to put the name of clients they already handle, in order to give them an idea of the kind of thing you write...

well, I gave a name of a certain british writer/director and now they have apparently forwarded my email to him

which wasn't at all what i asked them to do. just shows how crap my communication skills are!

Oh, know nothing about this kind of thing but is it possible they've decided to forward to him for his opinion or summat?

Can you recontact them again and explain? Can you be super brave and phone?

Report
nickytinseltimes · 19/12/2008 13:23

Oh!

Well, who knows what may come of it?

You don't need good communication skills to be a creative writer - that's why they have agents! Obviously they have poor interpretation skills.
