Best laptop for writerly pounding

Anyone ecstatic? mine has died. Thinking of MacBookAir because they look amazing with great battery life etc but I use Word a lot. And am accident prone.

Samsung Chromebook. Cheap and cheerful, will do the job and is light like the Air.

Bit worried about Chromebooks because heard they don't use word? that was wrong? can I put word on like any other PC?

They don't use Word but have their own software that is compatible (and looks exactly like Word).
