Limericks anyone?

Has anyone ever tried writing one? I used to love reading these when I was little, so thought I'd write a quick one while I'm bored on a train to sum up how most people feel at this time of year:

Just worked out my own BMI,
And found it was shockingly high.
Went out for a run,
But found it no fun,
F**k it, I'll just eat less pie!

A bandy legged vicar from Kew
Found it hard to sit on a pew
He went everywhere
With a folding deckchair
Except, of course, to the loo
