It took five years, but 'The Bother in Burmeon' is now published!

Well, after at least five years of writing, editing, getting critiques from professionals and writing buddies, agent interest, agent rejections, blood, sweat, tears and probably a few other bodily fluids, my first book has been published!

It's a retro-style adventure story for 9-12s, set in 1962 and the launch was held at Brooklands Museum. It was a busy day but I loved every minute of it - reminded me of a wedding, actually (!)

The website for the book is at //www.burmeon.com and the publisher's website is at //www.circaidygregory.co.uk

Good luck to all who are slogging away on a book, whether it's their first or their 21st!

Congratulations!!!
It's wonderful to hear that it is possible to get published if you have a good idea and keep plugging away.
Has it put you off for life, or will there be a follow-up????

Thanks - well, there have been moments when I've thought 'not going through THIS again' and the idea of another 5 years of slog is daunting but on balance I don't think it'll stop me... :o

Thanks - and the good news is that we're onto the 2nd print run now (print runs for small press are in the 00s rather than tens of thousands - but still ha-ha-happy!)
