I just hope no bloody genealogist tries to dig up some Irish ancestry for the amoral slug. I know it's an (embarrassing) thing we do for every Prez and it always makes me cringe a bit. But I could cope with Obama being introduced to his 8th cousin 7 times removed in Offaly, because it's Obama. But please, do not try to claim even 1/100th of that wanker's DNA as Irish.

Well Enda's set the tone with his lovely chat today and secured his invite on Paddy's Day next.

Let's face it, it will all be nicey nicey pally stuff now and I wouldn't be surprised if that includes an Irish great great grandparent being dredged up.

According to an article in the Irish Times the Germans in the birthplace of his grandfather don't want an Obama Plaza type thing. They are playing down the connection Smile

His mum was a Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Skye who went to America with $50 in her pocket, lived in crowded conditions with her equally poor sisters and worked as a domestic.

Interesting... watch videos of his interviews before he decided to run for the elections and videos afterwards. Totally different man - I think it was all an act, vile as it was.
