Horses for courses.

Personally I would use a co-sleeper crib, which you can hire from NCT BTW.

First baby?

I've almost fallen in love with a next2me crib but seems a big expense......my DD1 hated her Moses basket, and slept in her pram carrycot we won't have the carrycot this time round. :(

We did moses basket next to us/me for almost 3 months, then due to hot summer DS moved to own cot-bed and own room at 3 months. He was fine. I slept in next room with baby monitor. He now nearly 8 years and has slept perfectly on his own ever since.

You could resell the chicco one, once the baby has outgrown it. Pretty sure there would be a market.

We loved our moses basket but can also recommend the co sleeper. really depends on what you want to experience as a mum. @FlumpieWumpie definitely got it right!

Thank you all for your help, i think i may take the plunge and purchase the next2me crib.....afterall everything else baby will have will be pre used even clothes should it be a girl. They are hard to get hold of, so like the idea of resale......oh the hand made one looks fab, but way way way outnof my budget!!

I love the next2me - we have only been using it about a week and it has transformed our night time feeding routine. It will also double as a travel cot. The basket is a lovely extra for daytime sleeping in a different room.
