Cots and beds

Where did you buy your bedside cot from?

There is very little room for any sort of cot in our pokey bedroom but I know I definitely want a bedside/co-sleeper one.

Did you manage to buy a modest sized bedside cot for not too much money? Share your find with me! Smile

DD has a small cot which fits in next to our bed - it cost £35 from Ikea and comes in pink, blue, green or plain wood Grin.

It doesn't do anything fancy, no drop sides or the like, but it does have two base height settings & is a sturdy enough item. We chose it because of the space issue aswell and have not been disappointed Smile.

Thanks for that Pop. I have looked at those, they are really good value and if I could whip the side off and use it as a co-sleeper I would be happy as Larry but unfortunately the sides are fixed, like you say, so it doesn't do the one thing I really want it to do.

m.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/functional/18681/18755/#/gb/en/catalog/products/art/90115997/

Side off, tied to our bed, mattress bumped up to ours and stuffed from other side with rolled blanket. Works like a dream for co-sleeping with extra room scenario in TINY bedroom.

I got the Troll bedside crib from the NCT store - had a rummage around online and managed to find a discount code - I think it might have been 20% off. They also do next day delivery, which was handy. Smaller than a cot, and DS still fits in it at 8 months, not that he stays in it that much, he just rolls straight into our bed. It wasn't as cheap as the Ikea option, but looks nice and can be used as a seat afterwards. I think John Lewis sell it as well if you have one of those nearby you might be able to see it in the store. www.nctshop.co.uk/Troll-Bedside-Crib/productinfo/4346/
