Hey, on the 2ww and looking for some support! Just changed onto a 40 day cycle so this has been a long time coming, not that hopeful though as even though we used OPKs we only DTD a couple of times during high fertile time because hubby feels the pressure and can't always perform lol still be nice to have some support. I would call this cycle 2 of officially trying so still early days.

Cakebaker35 Thu 16-Jan-14 20:59:56

I'm in <waves>!
I came off the pill in Oct and have had some weird/irregular cycles so this is officially the 1st cycle of TTC rather than just seeing what happens. I haven't used opks yet so it really is a long shot this month, but here's hoping! AF could be due anytime from 25th to 30th.
When do you plan to poas bump assuming AF doesn't arrive? wishing you lots of luck and here to keep you company smile

I'm in the other thread too but think it's a bit further on than me grin

Think I'm 4-5 dpo, no symptoms.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought symptoms were only noticeable after (hopefully) implantation? I have a few ttc apps on my phone (pink pad being one) and some of the girls on there claim to have symptoms from 2dpo! Is this normal?

AnythingNotEverything Thu 16-Jan-14 22:28:06

I started a 2ww thread this time last year.

I've just fed my 12.5 week old DD and will be popping her into her cot in a mo.

Good luck ladies ... You could be in my shoes next January!

Bumpforme2014 Thu 16-Jan-14 22:49:17

Hello all- thank you for responding its so nice to have company :-) cakebaker, have your cycles settled down then? I came off pill in sept had two 28 day cycles then on Xmas day got a 40 day cycle so hence why I decided to start with OPK. Also means I really don't know when AF is due now, ovulated on CD21/22 so I am hoping if no BFP then at least I get AF sooner then last cycle so hopefully not before 27th jan.

Tap dancing - I have read far too many posts not to believe that you can get symptoms straight away, according to my mum she actually felt conception happen although I think that is a little far fetched lol if you are really in tune with your body u reckon you can but most of us are far too busy to notice things.

Anythingnoteverything - loving your post, it made me smile so much I really hope that is me next year I've never wanted anything more then this all my life :-)

I will be testing on cheapies at the end of next week probably, how about everyone else?

cheshirem2b Thu 16-Jan-14 23:30:13

Hi guys! I posted on the other but had miscalculated my dates so I am also about 4-5 DPO on a cycle of 28-30days so my 2ww is underway.
It's our first cycle of TTC but I'm very excited!
I've become more aware of my usual cycle symptoms since being on here and TTC... Feeling cramps I didn't feel/notice before!
Wishing everyone luck!

cheshirem2b Thu 16-Jan-14 23:36:15

Cakebaker... I've got the tests ready but not going to test until at is due which is supposed to be on 28th. If it doesn't come I'll test but not doing an early to get my hopes crushed.

Bumpforme2014... I've been using OPK to calculate cycles and they spare great. I use digi because I find it a better reading for me. We used them properly this month and dtd at "high" and then every day until "peak" came and went so here's hoping!

Bumpforme2014 Fri 17-Jan-14 08:14:18

Cheshirem I will be surprised if you don't cave and test sooner haha you stand a good chance i
Think. I used digital as well but if don't get preggars this cycle I have purchased a fertility monitor. I wished we DTD more than we did, feel like I don't have much of a chance this time round :-(

cheshirem2b Fri 17-Jan-14 08:25:30

Bumpforme2014... Get dtd more! I thought, as bad as this sounds, I'd find dtd so frequently a bit of a chore but I'm enjoying myself and so is DH! Ask me again in a few months though! ;-)

cheshirem2b Fri 17-Jan-14 08:25:38

Bumpforme2014... Get dtd more! I thought, as bad as this sounds, I'd find dtd so frequently a bit of a chore but I'm enjoying myself and so is DH! Ask me again in a few months though! ;-)

Bumpforme2014 Fri 17-Jan-14 09:22:10

I am happy too but hubby feels under pressure and can't perform! Didn't think we would have that problem, not sure there is much we can do about it other than try not to obsess over it. He really wants a baby and I think he is worrying about it too much bless him.

cheshirem2b Fri 17-Jan-14 10:03:34

Oh bless him! I'm sure if he relaxes and stop worrying (easier said than done I know) then things will be ok. So sweet to hear that your DH is so committed.

Bumpforme2014 Fri 17-Jan-14 12:46:49

Yes he is, took him 11 years to get broody but thanks to numerous friends and family having babies recently he finally got there !! He will soon get used to it I think, I'm trying to be patient which isn't easy for me lol

Cakebaker35 Fri 17-Jan-14 13:00:17

bump my cycle not back to normal yet, had 27, 25 then 34 day cycles so far! So this month is really a long shot and although possible I'd just be happy to get a normal-ish cycle under my beast. Very sweet about your DH, mine a little the same, partly due to tiredness and busy job he just struggles with all the planning to DTD! We were extremely lucky to conceive immediately with DD but he's realising this time won't be quite so straightforward as that was a total fluke! I think I am due roughly the same time as you so fingers crossed.

cheshire vey good idea not to test early, it just drives you bonkers in the end so definitely try to hold out.

Hello to everyone else playing the waiting game.

Cakebaker35 Fri 17-Jan-14 13:00:48

Beast?! Belt I meant - autocorrect gone mad!

Still no bloody symptoms here sad

How is everyone else?

newforest Fri 17-Jan-14 13:47:02

I'm due on 28th. I'm 5 dpo. I ovulated on day 12 and had a positive opk on day 10 and we dtd on days 10 and 12.

I have no symptoms I have to say, though last month I was feeling every twinge and hoping for the best! I won't be testing unless I am late.

claudeekishi Fri 17-Jan-14 14:11:38

Signing in - due on 26th or 27th. No symptoms here yet either sad

Cakebaker35 Fri 17-Jan-14 14:18:15

Only imaginary symptoms here! Total nut job for the next week so! Not sure when I'm due but could be from 25th onwards.

flipflopfiesta Fri 17-Jan-14 16:45:26

Hi everyone!

Have never posted here before but would really like to sit out the 2ww in company! I am on my 10th cycle of ttc so really hoping this time we'll have some luck. Am due a couple of days later, on 28th or 29th...let the wait begin smile

Bumpforme2014 Fri 17-Jan-14 19:03:57

Welcome everyone!! Seems like we are all in the same boat together. I am 2DPO now so not expecting any symptoms yet. Cakebaker nice to know hubby isn't on his own with stress of it all. Like you, I will be happy to just get a shorter cycle then 40 days this month!

One question for you ladies and sorry if TMI is it normal to have wet watery CM week before ovulation and week after? This happened to me last month as well and I thought I was preggars coz never had it before but maybe it's normal when not on pill? Been a little more creamy today but I don't like it, very annoying! Lol

newforest Fri 17-Jan-14 21:35:50

I think it's fine bump. I noticed the same last month and again this month. Probably always had it but now noticing everything!

Cakebaker35 Fri 17-Jan-14 22:03:17

Agree with newforest, I think we just end up analysing every little thing whereas before we just didn't really pay attention in the same way!

MrsExcited Sat 18-Jan-14 00:07:45

Joining in, ov was wednesday going on dates so will see. 1st month of ttc again after ectopic ending in mc in October. Had a shit time of it in 2013 as also had a mmc in March.

However both pregnancies resulted from first ttc so hopeful but nervous and definitely need some handholding.

Managed to dtd a good few times this week, but fully get the not finding it sexy having all the pressure.

Bumpforme2014 Sat 18-Jan-14 00:12:38

Welcome mrsExcited, sorry to hear about your mc that really sucks but onto a new year and new cycle! You ov same day as me, how longs your cycle at the moment?

Gennz Sat 18-Jan-14 00:14:41

Hi ladies, I'm cycle 1 - not opk testing or anything but based on EWCM I think I'm 4dpo. AF due on 25 Jan so waiting, waiting... I'm not a very patient person so it's torture!

MrsExcited Sat 18-Jan-14 01:01:22

Thanks bump thats the plan!! I spent last year having had few periods but after the second mc they seem to have re-appeared. Last cycle was 26 days, but before last year they were normally 28 days so am planning to go till the 31st if i can, may cave a little earlier but max 2 days.

Hi Gennz, good luck!

Pickles79 Sat 18-Jan-14 19:42:53

Hello ladies. New on here and nice to read I'm not alone playing the waiting game. This time next week I can test! No symptoms at all. Had a three day headache this week but don't know if that's a sign or not?!

Bumpforme2014 Sat 18-Jan-14 19:53:33

Welcome pickles! Headaches can be a symptom but to be honest anything can be a sign if we want it to be haha

Pickles79 Sat 18-Jan-14 20:09:32

Haha that's what I thought, I'm looking for anything which I know is silly. I convince myself every time but I'm never right. Maybe negative thinking is the way to go lol.

Bumpforme2014 Sat 18-Jan-14 20:17:30

Haha it's torture isn't it, we all do it. I'm not long off the pill and last month got every single symptom there is but it was just hormones going mad!!

Pickles79 Sat 18-Jan-14 20:27:33

I've only had two normal cycles since stopping cerazette. Sometimes that's also another worry, thinking maybe five years on the pill has stopped me ovulating. Hormones do crazy things to our bodies don't they.

Bumpforme2014 Sat 18-Jan-14 23:02:07

Well I was on microgynon for 11 years but apparently the pill is out of your system within days. It's just our bodies adjusting to now having to do something they haven't for years. The pain I had on ovulation day as well as jump in temp and positive on OPK was enough to convince me I at least ovulated! Never felt anything like it... Ouch!

newforest Sun 19-Jan-14 11:18:22

Ovulation can be painful for me too, but I only ever get it on my right. I don't get it every month either. I had it this month and the time before that was September. Must have been the left ovary doing the work in the meantime!

Pickles79 Sun 19-Jan-14 13:03:57

Ooh I sometimes get pain low down on one side during my cycle! I didn't know this could be ovulation pain.

Cakebaker35 Sun 19-Jan-14 13:43:57

Hello everyone, I'm going totally mad symptom spotting this month, I'm getting really annoyed with myself and so wish I could just switch off! I had EWCM yesterday which seems totally bizarre as it was cd22 so no idea what my body is up to!
I came off cerezette in oct pickles and my cycle has been all over the place so I'm just hoping for a sensible one this month as I think getting a BFP v unlikely on my heart of hearts. But I still keep symptom spotting argh!

Princesscrystalx Sun 19-Jan-14 13:49:13

Hello!! Im back for the2ww, im 6 days past ovulationnow, its taking forever! Normally i ovulate on day 19 but this cycle i ovulated on day 14 is this a good sign?? Dtd from day 3 to 17, this month isnt getting away with it! Haha no symptoms other then imaginary nausea!! Good luck everyone xxxx

claudeekishi Sun 19-Jan-14 13:58:05

7dpo here and not much to report sad Yesterday had a headache and felt hot flush-y, but I think that was linked to overworking last week, it was all catching up on me. Very tired but I haven't been sleeping well so of course I'm tired!
No cramping
No CM to speak of
Boobs not sore

I can't believe how quickly the 2ww turns me into a crazy woman.

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 16:32:54

Hi everyone! No symptoms here either but I am only 3/4 dpo I think it is easy to forget that some women have absolutely no symptoms and still fall pregnant. Having said that I do think that I will just know when I am and I'm not feeling any different at all right now.

One thing I wanted to flag with you guys, is anyone temping? My temps generally are very low and never get above 36.4 - went down as low as 35.7 week before ovulation now back up to 36.2. Last three days I have slept poorly, vivid dreams and so damn hot, hubby says I feel like I'm on fire! This happened last month as well so just trying to understand if normal because I can't be dealing with this every month i want to know why.

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 16:34:05

Cakebaker have you tried doing an OPK? You might be ovulating again??

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 16:36:16

Pickles79 yes that is ovulation pain it's only on one side and usually the same side every month. Feels like period cramps then turns into sharp pulling pains on ovulation day. Totally feels like something swollen inside and that is exactly what it is - the egg swelling!

Pickles79 Sun 19-Jan-14 17:24:55

Thank you Bumpforme2014. It's a decade since I was pregnant with my last child so it feels like I'm ttc for the first time, I've forgotten what it's all like!
I've just brushed my teeth and never seen so much blood when I rinsed my mouth, like a worrying amount of blood. Any ideas?

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 17:36:54

Ooohhhh pickles now that is a sign! Not for me though because I always had bleeding gums! How many dpo are you??

Princesscrystalx Sun 19-Jan-14 17:45:43

Pickles that sounds like a sign! Just wanted to kno ladies, (tmi coming up lol) if you have lots of white cloudy discharge after ovulation which doesnt go away a sign? Doesnt smell or itch. Xx

Pickles79 Sun 19-Jan-14 17:48:49

I've never had bleeding gums, not that I can recall. I'm 8dpo.

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 17:59:25

Ooh that is exciting pickles! Only a few more days and you can test. Princesscrystal I'm afraid that kind of CM is very normal post ovulation but I guess like anything, if you've not had it before then perhaps?

Cakebaker35 Sun 19-Jan-14 18:03:05

Bump I'm trying to avoid opk's for now, worried they make me even more mad! Pretty sure I did ov around cd14 as had lots of EWCM around then but hmmmm who knows at the mo! I'll probably end up using opks next month when I really will be going nuts

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 18:53:30

Haha cakebaker I know what you mean but at least they put your mind at rest when your not sure what is going on.

Cakebaker35 Sun 19-Jan-14 19:34:04

Very true bump. I'm feeling all full of pmt this eve so think I'm probably out this month...

Princesscrystalx Sun 19-Jan-14 19:49:36

Yeah true, bump! Gunna test on 12 dpo (friday) and see! Cakebaker your not out till the witch is here, keeping fingers crossed for everyone xx

Pickles79 Sun 19-Jan-14 20:02:15

I feel in a panic now. The coming week is going to drag xx

rockstars12 Sun 19-Jan-14 20:04:43

Hi everyone! On 2ww too, think I'm a few days past ov, af would be due properly on 27th with symptoms normally occurring all this week. So far everything same as normal for af, which has made me a bit depressed this evening to be honest, which is also typical of my af. Ggrrr how is everyone else feeling this evening?

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 20:10:20

Oh I am sensing the Sunday night blues from everyone this evening! Yes this next week is defo going to drag and will be difficult for us all not too test!

Welcome rockstars I am feeling good today but not looking forward to a week of work ahead, wishing it was time for either testing or AF as I am so impatient and want to get things moving. Visited a friend with her 4 month old today and got me all excited for this next chapter of my life :-)

Princesscrystalx Sun 19-Jan-14 20:32:06

Wish. There was a time machine! Im gunna try forget about symptom spotting and hopefully the time will pass quicker! Easier said then done hey! X

rockstars12 Sun 19-Jan-14 22:06:27

Hi bump! I've had snacks and watched a chic flick, feeling slightly happier. I have a long week of work as well, 2 of them 14 hour shifts, nothing like a long week that drags. I'm still arguing with myself over when I will test. I bought the 2 pack early expensive ones and a batch of cheap amazon. I know I'll cave and £3 to waste on negatives til it's the proper time will make me feel less guilty.

BumpNGrind Sun 19-Jan-14 22:25:06

Hi Ladies I'm 2dpo so this week is going to draaag!! Any hints or tips to keeping your mind off the two week wait?

What day do you start testing?

Bumpforme2014 Sun 19-Jan-14 22:33:52

That's the way to do it rockstars! 14 hour shifts though that's insane, at least it will make the week go faster?

Welcome bumpNgrind I think anything that keeps you away from home and unable to get hold of tests is the only way lol

I think your not officially suppose to test until day AF is due but since I don't know when AF is due I'm gonna test probably from 10dpo (next weekend) since that is when implantation usually occurs, you?

rockstars12 Sun 19-Jan-14 23:19:40

Gotta love overtime. Of course this much work won't be doing my body any good, I do need to cut down. I made sure the tests weren't going to arrive in the post until it was roughly time to start testing.
Anyone else had cramps and back pain around 4dpo? Seems odd considering implantation isn't til later. Though I do suffer from irritable bowel syndrome, so. So m times it's hard to tell which is which.

BumpNGrind Sun 19-Jan-14 23:54:36

The 2ww is crazy and it's only my second month of ttc. I think 10dpo is when I'm going to test too. Last month I concentrated on my 'symptoms' so much that when AF arrived early I was not only gutted but shocked because I wasn't expecting it. This month I have to try and be more rational, but that so much easier said than done.

Cakebaker35 Mon 20-Jan-14 07:54:37

Bump you're so right about the 2ww being crazy - I hate the way it turns me from a relatively sane, rational person into a symptom spotting, emotional loon.

As for testing I'm going to hold out if I can keep away from the shops until cd29 (Saturday) - my cycle has been 25 and 34 days since coming off cerezette so I figure 29 is probably about right, assuming the witch hasn't put in an appearance by then grrr.

rockstars12 Mon 20-Jan-14 08:30:35

I have been dreaming about babies, pregnancy and childbirth Tec every night for over 2 weeks now. Obsessing much?! Hugely! Anyone else being sleeping this as well as living it daily?

Cakebaker35 Mon 20-Jan-14 09:13:36

Rockstars yes - worst though was a dream I had about being at the docs and being told I couldn't have any more children. Woke up crying then couldn't get back to sleep. Ridiculous!

MrsF2510 Mon 20-Jan-14 16:30:29

Goodness no I've not had crazy dreams yet! I am about 4dpo so have got a wee while to wait yet!!

Bumpforme2014 Mon 20-Jan-14 19:32:37

Hi everyone, had a very busy day at work so big distraction! Home now and symptom spotting straight away lol I have a sore left boob not right just left haha also slightly dizzy and wet CM back today but all this is the same as last month (sigh) still feeling really hot at night with vivid dreams waking me up constantly.

Pickles79 Mon 20-Jan-14 23:45:57

Can't sleep due to obsessive thinking about poas!

MrsF2510 Tue 21-Jan-14 07:17:38

That's another day gone ladies. Well done to everybody who has refrained from POAS! I am now about 5dpo - wow this is going to drag!!!!

MrsF2510 Tue 21-Jan-14 08:14:19

Can I ask, as I am not using OPKs, for those of you who have a 27, 28 or 29 day cycles, what days did you get positive OPK readings? Am hoping I didn't miss it!

Cakebaker35 Tue 21-Jan-14 08:17:30

Hope you managed some sleep pickles.
MrsF I am sure time stands still in the 2ww
Cd25 here, arghh, but I must resist til Saturday, be too early otherwise. Deliberately have no tests in the house to stop me doing random poas all week! X

Pickles79 Tue 21-Jan-14 08:45:57

Two hours sleep. And now have a really bloated and painful tummy so think AF is on it's way.

BumpNGrind Tue 21-Jan-14 10:58:26

Ergh! 4dpo.....this week will absolutely drag! I've now officially gone mad because I've lingered over all the baby offers in the supermarkets, i have to keep reminding myself that I'm not pregnant and i don't have any children yet!!

Please tell me your stories so i don't feel quite as obsessed!!

TheMumfords Tue 21-Jan-14 13:05:49

Hi there.. First congrats to you ladies for getting this far.. In new to this whole IVF business and starting to realise what people mean when they say it is an emotional roller coaster .. I'm currently 2dp3dt on strict 'couch' rest (any excuse to be lazy!!).. Our IVF story began almost 2 years ago but here we are at last at the final hurdle.. Bit of a tricky one as its not as straight forward as most IVF cycles.. I am using donated eggs from my beautiful wife with donated sperm.. We felt this way would be best for us as we will both have that special bond with out hopefully future child.. Anyway this wait is killing me.. The past two days have felt 10 times longer than usual!! I'm sure yous all know exactly what I mean.. I had my transfer on Sunday and had cramping pains and twinges that night and yesterday which I was worried about.. Today I don't and I'm still worrying.. What the hell.. Anyways thought this would be a great place for support..

claudeekishi Tue 21-Jan-14 14:08:13

Oh wow TheMumfords that is really special. So is this your first transfer?

You have absolutely picked the right place for the 2ww. A safe place to obsess and then we get back to trying to appear normal in our daily lives. grin

Well I think I am 8 or 9dpo here, not fully sure. Thought I felt some kind of period type cramping this morning but I feel sure that any other month I wouldn't have noticed it. I guess it means nothing really -- either I am gearing up for AF or I am not.

claudeekishi Tue 21-Jan-14 14:09:55

Bump, I can beat that....I have been looking at maternity clothes on ASOS blush

Oh yes.

Apart from anything else, I didn't even need actual maternity clothes until about 7.5 months preg the last time around.

weebairn Tue 21-Jan-14 14:14:38

Hello guys!!
I am at the excruciating end of the 2ww here - period was due on Saturday but hasn't turned up. My cycles are a bit irregular so it could just be late. Every toilet trip is nail biting, lol.

No charting here but had loads of sex this month, almost every day.

I have no symptoms whatsoever. (No premenstrual ones either though!)

Last time I was pregnant I was very tired and emotional from my first day of missed period, and boobs grew and got tender very soon after. I am still breastfeeding no. 1 though so I have no idea what breast symptoms you might get with that - possibly they don't have to grow as they are already producing milk?? (hope so - despite still breastfeeding I wear nice bras again these days and like my boobs the size they are!)

Really hope I'm pregnant - trying not to get too excited!

weebairn Tue 21-Jan-14 14:16:51

grin at the maternity clothes. I have a box of them packed away from last time and keep wanting to get them out and look through. THAT WAY MADNESS LIES. (I also didn't get into mat clothes till the third trimester!)

claudeekishi Tue 21-Jan-14 14:22:06

I'm so ashamed of myself! I am a normal person the rest of the time, I swear!

weebairn you must be on tenterhooks -- I will be if I'm in your situation in a few days because my cycles can be irregular too. My boobs look totally the same but if you're breastfeeding surely your boobs will still look fuller anyway.

It's a weird old business, eh?

weebairn Tue 21-Jan-14 14:26:10

Haha, I was so convinced I would be relaxed this time round. This is actually first cycle since I had my coil out so I will be such a lucky bastard if I'm pregnant.

My boobs look the same as pre-preg these days (DD is 15 months) so god knows what will happen.

I have promised myself I'll wait till the weekend to test! Period will be a week late then so there won't be any is-it-or-isn't-it …… fingers crossed.

Cakebaker35 Tue 21-Jan-14 14:30:56

Weebairn, you have a 15mo and you've had sex nearly every day this month?! Are you super woman?! grin

Claude, very very funny about maternity clothes!

We're all basically fruit cakes thanks to this TTC aren't we?!

<waves> welcome everyone new.

weebairn Tue 21-Jan-14 14:36:25

No, just a nympho grin

DD has taken to having 2.5 hour naps and DP works opposite and sometimes comes home for a lunch shag break grin And she's pretty good at sleeping in the evenings. (Let's not discuss mornings...)

I am also a tired mess a lot of the time - really the opposite of superwoman - I definitely prioritise sex over housework!

I found my sex drive came back with a vengeance when I got my periods back around a year after birth. I don't know if it was a physical thing or psychological, knowing I could have another baby… took a while to persuade DP to let me take my coil out though, hah.

weebairn Tue 21-Jan-14 14:42:35

How old is your child Cake?

TheMumfords Tue 21-Jan-14 18:13:03

Hi Claudeekishi yes this is my first transfer.. and what a stress it is!! Where are you up to?? The maternity clothes thing is something I haven't done YET.. but I do tend to stalk mamas and Pappas and mothercare looking at Parma.. I swear I'm obsessed!! I've even joined all kinds of mailing lists..

BumpNGrind Tue 21-Jan-14 18:59:12

Ooooh, i haven't even thought of joining mailing lists!! I'm not experiencing any symptoms this month so I cant even obsess over those-mailing lists may just have to fill that gap!!

rockstars12 Tue 21-Jan-14 19:11:23

Ive been looking at ASOS pregnancy clothes too, and mentally baby shopping for everything I could possibly need.
I caved and POAS this morning despite the fact my AF isn't due til Monday, of course it was negative. I doubt i'll be able to resist trying again tomorrow, which means Ill have used up my expensive ones, still waiting for the cheapies to arrive in the post.
I have everything crossed that my af doesn't arrive this weekend.

TheMumfords Tue 21-Jan-14 19:22:07

Email after email of the latest pram,, car seat,, sale,, tips.. you name it and I get them.. when signing up to the mamas & Pappas list in store,, the assistant asked all my details and then asked me if I knew my due date yet.. I just shook my head and mumbled not yet.. oh the shame.. I need to be locked up.. this was a month ago before I was even at this stage.. God knows whAt I will be like once I'm back in worm tomorrow aS I work in the city centre.. these shops are just to easily accessible on dinner breaks..

Bumpforme2014 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:14:48

Hahaha oh my gosh I thought I was bad, been window shopping in mothercare since I was a teenager! More excited then my sister when she told me she was preggars - glad to know I'm not the only one who is mega broody out there :-) ! Only four days until I start testing, no symptoms at all, pretty sure I'm out this month but got my fertility monitor to look forward to next month :-)

Cakebaker35 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:22:05

Weebairn good for you, if you're DTD lots then you're sure to be upduffed soon, fingers crossed as you're already late so it is looking good grin
my dd has just turned 2, starting to drop naps and having some epic tantrums so it's pretty tiring although she is of course fab too, don't want to sound like a totally ungrateful cow! My DH does long hours with a pretty long commute and is under loads of pressure at mo so DTD not always practical although we did our best this month! Didn't really get my sex drive back until I ditched breast feeding at 14 mo and thanks to a difficult f*cking terrifying labour ending in emcs I knew I wasn't mentally ready to TTC again until dd turned 2. So as impatient as I am, at least I've come to terms with things and am now desperate to get upduffed again!

Cakebaker35 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:25:19

As for looking at maternity/baby stuff, I found myself looking at it all in mothercare today, shouldn't even have been in the bloody place as we didnt need anything!

I am determined not to poas before Saturday as it will just be a waste of time. Help keep me on the straight and narrow please!

Bumpforme2014 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:35:08

Saturday is not that far away at all cakebaker, you can do it! Three more sleeps from tomorrow...any symptoms yet??

Bumpforme2014 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:36:25

Also I'm too tired to DTD without a child so no idea how you guys manage it, still waiting for sex drive to return after coming off the pill!

rockstars12 Tue 21-Jan-14 21:06:28

Intended to talk to my cousin excitedly about trying for a baby again and ended up listening to a long rant about her 15 year old absolute nightmare of a child! My happy baby making bubble deflated.
Think im going to look at more baby stuff to cheer me up! lol

Cakebaker35 Tue 21-Jan-14 21:32:14

Thanks bump! Been feeling bloated, massively grumpy and basically like AF is imminent hmm but then I had zero symptoms when pregnant before so I cling onto that!
rockstars ha ha step away from the baby stuff!

rockstars12 Tue 21-Jan-14 21:53:09

Cake I feel the same, I think AF coming, only difference so far is the absence of the usual absolute exhaustion and depression that comes in the lead up to AF.

RetroHippy Tue 21-Jan-14 21:54:57

Hello all! 2ww started yesterday. I've got some super sensitive hpts (10mul or something) so I'm going to let myself test on the 31st. Going to be the longest 10 days ever! And I'll be symptom spotting like a crazy lady grin

rockstars12 Tue 21-Jan-14 22:03:07

Hi retro! I ordered those too, mine are still in the post, much to my crazy dismay, Im inclined to test every morning now til my af is due on Monday and I cant as I only have 1 left til the others arrive. Estimated delivery is Thursday to Monday!

newforest Tue 21-Jan-14 22:16:36

Hi Mrsf, I used OPK for the first time this month and got a positive on day 10. I had obvious ovulation signs on day 12. I have a 28 day cycle. I always seem to ovulate around day 12.

There's nothing you can do to prevent the insanity during the tww. I've tried!

claudeekishi Wed 22-Jan-14 06:22:26

Ok, just dtd there a little while ago and tmi tmi but when I went to the loo after there was pink blood. Never had this before. Period due in 4 or 5 days. Maybe it's coming early? Couldn't be implantation could it? Had a smear test 6 weeks ago and all was well!

weebairn Wed 22-Jan-14 06:38:50

Cakebaker I found my labour extremely hard at the time but even though it was a long one I was very lucky that it was intervention free… I found I forgot about the bad points quite quickly. I am so sorry yours was so hard. Anecdotally I have heard so many people say how much easier 2nd baby was for them, even when the first labour was complicated. Would you have an ELCS?

I also thought my sex drive had gone forever and blamed breastfeeding -it was weird when it suddenly came back, with my periods. Hormones or something!

It's hard to know whether to whine about or celebrate our lovely little monsters eh!! I know exactly what you mean! My baby is brilliant and hilarious and adorable, but also whines nonstop and hasn't learned to talk yet so just points and SHOUTS until I do what she wants. She climbs on everything and throws all her food everywhere. Some days I just sit in the middle of the chaos sobbing grin At least she naps!!

I work the tough, long-hours job of the two of us (just part time at the mo though thank god) - DP's job is easy going and literally across the road - so I get the high ground and he just does what I tell him smile

Bump Pill is rubbish isn't it. I came off it a few years ago now after 17 years on it and instantly lost a bit of weight, felt loads fitter, and sexier, etc etc… stupid hormones.

rockstarsthere's always plenty to whinge about with kids, but the good bits far far outweigh the bad!

I am having lots of achy cramps now. Could be period coming. Was like this last time I was pregnant though. Oooooh waiting is killing me. 4 days late now….

Bumpforme2014 Wed 22-Jan-14 07:38:10

Claudeek it is difficult to say, I get that occasionally after DTD but don't really think anything of it because it could depend on position of cervix at the time! If AF not due for another five days then yes it could be implantation especially if you have never had that before? How many DPO are you?

MrsF2510 Wed 22-Jan-14 07:41:29

Thanks newforest, that makes me feel better. I haven't used OPKs (since we started / for the last couple of months) as DH is keen that we just let it happen and enjoy trying but as a control freak, it's killing me not knowing whether I am getting the days all wrong. We DTD on cd5,8,11,12,15 and 17 so even if I ovulated around cd 19, I should still have a chance. I thought I had cramps on cd14 and 15) weren't as painful as last month so now I'm doubting myself!) What days did other 28/29 day cycles OV on?

claudeekishi Wed 22-Jan-14 10:47:25

I think I'm 9dpo Bump. Thanks for your reply. I've never had this before but what you say about the position of the cervix makes sense. It's stopped now anyway. Back to waiting...

Pickles79 Wed 22-Jan-14 12:26:31

I'm out ladies. AF arrived this morning, three days early just to shock me even more ha.

Cakebaker35 Wed 22-Jan-14 13:01:46

Pickles just seen you on another thread too but here's a flowers for you, really sorry. Roll on next month!

weebairn thank you, yes it was all pretty traumatic but there are plenty of people worse off than me and at least me and dd both made it. Sorry you had a rubbish time too, it's not always plain sailing this labour lark is it? I really don't know about next time (assuming there is one!) but I've discussed with the consultant and midwife from last time and we will see - everything is telling me elcs as I could not face that experience again without having some serious mh issues I don't think! But also recovery with a toddler would be super hard, no family locally etc. but hey at the moment I'd just like to get a BFP so I do have to think about all that again!

claudeekishi Wed 22-Jan-14 13:10:14

Sorry to hear it pickles. Best of luck for next time.

Bumpforme2014 Wed 22-Jan-14 18:42:18

Hey pickles, you sure your out? How many dpo are you now? Less then 12 and it could still be implantation bleed, don't want to get your hopes up but it seems too soon for you to get your period are you always regular?

I am feeling blue today, so very tired and fed up of this extreme dry skin I been having since dec :-(. Ever so slight cramping so worried my period may arrive early as well.

Pickles79 Wed 22-Jan-14 18:50:53

I think it 11dpo. It's too heavy for implantation bleed I think.

Oh you poor thing! Know how you feel, I've had dry skin all around my nostril(tmi) for months and it's driving me insane.

Bumpforme2014 Wed 22-Jan-14 19:52:33

Oh my god pickles it's the same area for me too?! Previous month was my eyelids and cheek this month it is around my nostrils and either end of my upper lip (if that makes sense). No moisturisers are working and I'm so annoyed with it I'm going to doctors about it as worried its a hormonal problem along with my 40 day cycle issue!

Pickles79 Wed 22-Jan-14 20:16:02

How strange!?! I was going to see the doctor about it next week. The 99p Nivea cream in a blue pot is the only thing that helps but that's only if I put it on repeatedly thought the evening. Once my make up is on it starts drying out again.

Bumpforme2014 Wed 22-Jan-14 20:44:29

I have been trying e45 with no real affect! It's not itchy at all just feels so tight dry and flakey throughout the day which is embarrassing when in meetings and I feel like my face is peeling off. I've tried googling and found some stuff around progesterone causing dry skin in some people which would make sense as mine cleared up when I got my period so your should be getting better now you have AF?

I will let you know what my doc says but last time I went and showed it to her it was a full blown rash and she said it was allergic reaction but now I know it's not because it did get worse week before ovulation, I'm convinced its hormone related.

Pickles79 Wed 22-Jan-14 20:55:37

I tried e45 but Nivea is much richer and seems to work better for me.
Yes you could be right that it's hormonal, hadnt occurred to me until you said. I'm the same, having a flaky face while at work is rather embarrassing!

Bumpforme2014 Wed 22-Jan-14 21:04:18

Okay I will try that then as I have some at home but assumed if e45 didn't work nothing would lol nice to know it's not just me, coming off the pill has made my body go insane, I've put on weight, exhausted all the time, depressed, moody, I'm really worried my body isn't coping with making its own hormones (sigh)! Will order bloods at doctors next week.

Pickles79 Wed 22-Jan-14 21:18:29

Nivea is my go to cream when nothing else works haha.
I'm so stupid sometimes, it just didn't cross my mind that it could be linked to stopping the pill but it did start shortly after I came off the pill.
Yes, good idea. Keep me posted with what your Dr says!

Cakebaker35 Thu 23-Jan-14 19:08:22

For the dry skin ladies - highly recommend oilatum cream, lather it on when you go to bed. Might not make you look too hot for those DTD nights tho! grin

Bumpforme2014 Thu 23-Jan-14 19:24:16

Haha thanks cakebaker will try that! How's everyone feeling today?

MrsF2510 Fri 24-Jan-14 07:35:30

Still impatient bumpforme! Am only 8dpo (I think) - anyone past AF due date yet?

weebairn Fri 24-Jan-14 09:16:41

I'm 6 days late now. I'm absolutely convinced I'm pregnant, nauseous and shattered and no premenstrual symptoms at all. Going to test tomorrow morning...

Cakebaker35 Fri 24-Jan-14 09:54:37

Exciting weebairn! I'm poas tomorrow too but it is only cd 29 for me and as my cycles are irregular I'm not really sure when to test. Sounds very promising for you though, fingers crossed!

weebairn Fri 24-Jan-14 10:31:50

Thanks, will have my fingers crossed for you too! Exciting times.

buddhabee Fri 24-Jan-14 10:50:27

af showed up last night - had so many symptoms - crampy, bloated - gutted, hats off to all you ladies that have done this for years, i've done it for 2 cycles and honestly you feel like you have failed the biggest test - boooooooooooooooooo to af!!

Cakebaker35 Fri 24-Jan-14 12:18:52

Very sorry to hear that budd, go and have some cake and wishing you loads of luck next month x

weebairn Fri 24-Jan-14 15:36:36

I couldn't actually wait any longer. Got a BFP! It's quite faint even though I am 6 days late, I assume thats ok?? Very very happy. smile

Cakebaker35 Fri 24-Jan-14 17:03:55

Congratulations weebairn flowers fantastic news!

buddhabee Fri 24-Jan-14 17:23:27

congrats weebairn, fab news and well done for holding out so long!

MrsExcited Fri 24-Jan-14 17:32:33

Congrats weebairn

I am symptom spotting nutcase!!

Metallic taste, sore nipples, tired but i know i am looking for them, only cd23 so still a way to go!!

Bumpforme2014 Fri 24-Jan-14 18:12:43

Yay weebairn congratulations!! Our first BFP, how long have you been trying? I can test from tomorrow but not sure if I will bother, I know I'm not preggars and would rather just wait for AF then see a BFN.

weebairn Fri 24-Jan-14 18:18:56

Thankyou smile

I had my coil out in December, so first month - I feel very lucky. Took 5 months with my first baby!

Bump I am just the same, cannot bear to see negatives, so have only ever taken tests when late and very convinced...

claudeekishi Fri 24-Jan-14 19:11:01

Congratulations weebairn, that is so lovely. flowers

I'm out - af arrived early.

Bumpforme2014 Fri 24-Jan-14 21:18:28

Oh no claudeekishi that sucks!! Why are people starting early, at least it hurrys the 2ww along, with my 40 day cycle I could be waiting until early Feb for AF :-( better luck next time. Prob see you next cycle.

Cakebaker35 Sat 25-Jan-14 13:06:27

Sorry to hear it Claude sad good luck next month.

I did poas this a.m and got a very very faint line.....hmmm evaporation or positive, I just don't know! So going to get another test kit and try again tomorrow. V unsure.

cupoftchai Sat 25-Jan-14 13:25:43

Hello all can I join? am not actually ttc but am on day 40 and got a negative test... this is doing my head in. Periods only came back 3 months ago (breastfeeding toddler) I guess it is possible for them to be irregular for the first while? I feel rubbish but not particularly premenstrual.

cupoftchai Sat 25-Jan-14 13:26:27

(sorry should have said cycles were 28-34 days pre-preg, average 30, since preg have been 34 days)

Bumpforme2014 Sat 25-Jan-14 14:55:28

Oohhhh cakebaker that is exciting, keep us posted tomorrow! I could have tested this morning but so convinced it would be a BFN I didn't want too. I am gonna try and hold out for AF but then it's weird as I'm hoping if I'm not preggars that AF comes by next weds or I'm having a 40 day cycle again which upsets me! Don't feel anything, no preg symptoms or AF symptoms... Dry skin has vanished and I'm still feeling very hot!

Welcome cup difficult one but I would say you are having a really long cycle, perhaps you didn't ovulate this month? If it's bFn after your missed period it does usually mean BFN I'm afraid.

cupoftchai Sat 25-Jan-14 17:23:01

Hi. Cake baker that sounds like a positive line!
Bump that does make sense and it actually helps 'hearing' from someone else how unlikely it is for a neg test at this stage to be anything but not preg. That's what the stats say! Still it is emotionally draining, trying to manage the hope/worry - in my case it would be a really bad time for us practically but lovely for dd to have a smaller age gap. Much more likely for me that is oddly long month than upduffed! Still I will not rest easy till I see af.

Cakebaker35 Sun 26-Jan-14 13:26:07

Thank you, another poas this morning and definitely a line, faint but that's the 3rd one so I guess it really is real...hardly dare to believe it really. Lots of luck to everyone xxxx

cupoftchai Sun 26-Jan-14 13:37:12

whoo hoo! congratulations!

claudeekishi Sun 26-Jan-14 14:02:49

Ahhh congratulations cakebaker! It's real for sure!

Bumpforme2014 Sun 26-Jan-14 14:30:22

Great news cakebaker !! Congratulations, any symptoms yet? I'm feeling a little down, did a test this morning (11dpo) and was negative. I wasn't going to do one but as I'm seeing doctor tomorrow thought I had better. Wish I knew when AF was due really don't want another long cycle but looks like the way it's going. Boobs very sore but that happened last month so AF will be here in a week I reckon :-(

Cakebaker35 Sun 26-Jan-14 16:56:19

Thank you all so much. It doesn't feel real yet, those faint lines on preg tests are scary! But a line is a line and I keep telling myself 3 tests can't all be wrong! Will be getting a digi so I can see in words to convince myself, but I am sure it is v v v early days so who knows, anything could happen. No symptoms other than typical pmt grump and bloating, but I had none either with my dd so not too surprised. Very very very good luck to all still waiting and remember until AF arrives you're still in! X

weebairn Sun 26-Jan-14 16:57:36

Cake baker - yay!!!!!! I am so thrilled for you. You don't sound like you actually believe it!

When do you think your due date is? I'm provisionally working on 27 September but my cycles are a bit irregular so not too sure.

Congrats smile

Cakebaker35 Sun 26-Jan-14 18:22:42

Thank you weebairn! No it really doesn't feel real, I don't think it will until I go and buy a digi test that actually says it in words! I hardly dare think about due dates, but I would guess a week later than you xx

cupoftchai Mon 27-Jan-14 08:31:26

Just an update- that's my af arrived on day 42 so at least it's an end to uncertainty! Must accustom myself to expect irregular cycles without turning into a complete loon. Good luck to the rest of u

weebairn Mon 27-Jan-14 08:38:12

Sorry to hear it cupoftchai. sad That's a long period…

Do something nice for yourself today (and have a big glass of wine).

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 10:11:33

Hi ladies, can I join? Currently 5 days after ov, I have pcos & first month on clomid so not sure when due on. Keep manically checking diary like the complete nutter ive become trying to work out when likely to start. Congrats to those who got their bfp's!

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:10:06

Welcome gingerbread! You can wait with me, I am expecting AF not BFP unfortunately but AF is not due until 3 Feb if having another 40 day cycle.... Everyone else seems to be getting their answers while I just wait and wait and wait :-(

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:24:00

Thanks bump! I can relate to that, my longest cycle has been 64 days, it's the waiting that's the worst bit, extra time for your mind to go into overdrive! Bloody pcos is rubbish. Do you have pcos or just mega long cycles? I'm thinking if cycle behaves itself ill be around the 5th. Already trying to work out when ov will be next month lol!

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:29:57

Gingerbread 64 days noooooo I'm worried that could happen to me! I don't have pcos that I know of, my cycles went from 28 to 40 last cycle but I came off pill in sept so I'm blaming that. I am about to leave for doctors now actually because I am so worried about hormone levels as been feeling rubbish last few months. I believe before pill my cycles were regular with no cramping so I don't think I have pcos but it has crossed my mind.

SweetPeaPods Mon 27-Jan-14 11:30:50

Can I join? AF due on 2nd. I've got a first response test left over from ds (still in date) that I'm debating with myself whether to test early or wait till af actually late, if it is late of course. I think if I test early I'll know either way but it's obviously not guaranteed.
Ds is nearly 8m, but we has a few issues falling pg with him so it would be a bit of a shock but a good shock.

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:33:19

Oh question, are you not ovulating hence long cycles and being on Clomid? I am pretty sure I am ovulating so I don't think long cycles are such a big issue?

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:36:00

Lol! sure you wont be that long. Hmm, I'd ask about it. I've been on the pill most if my life but when on a break from it cycles were regular. Until typically, when I came off ttc & periods mysteriously vanished. After a few months I was referred as old bird at over 35. Told I had pcos, I had no idea & no ther symptoms. Hence clomid, it regulates your cycle, could be worth asking about? No harm & if it is, there is lots of things that can be done. Good luck at drs !

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:38:59

I was also ovulating by myself, put on clomid to give me more cycles and therefore chances. It also regulates cycles and boosts hormones so they do what they should be when they should be (ooo, get me, sound like I know what I'm talking about, I'm an Internet searching conception knowledge junkie lol!)

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 11:42:37

Hi sweetPP. My advice would be wait, reason being a couple of months ago after odd cycle, at advice of drs, I tested early. 3 times in fact! 3 weak positives, then negatives. I had early m/c & I personally would rather not have known. Entirely personal choice obv', good luck if u go for it!

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 13:45:00

Thanks gingerbread! The doctor has referred me for blood tests to check all hormones since I am having 'irregular' cycles but she made clear that there is very little they are prepared to do until I have been TTC for a year. Was a bit vague when I asked about what they would do if hormones came back too low for example. She also said that since I ovulated on CD22 my period should be 14 days later which would be tomorrow or weds otherwise I am pregnant?!? I don't feel like AF is coming or that I'm pregnant only symptom is my boobs are so heavy and sore! Will get bloods done in morning as want answers ASAP did you get bloods done? I doubt they will give me clomid for a while I'm almost 30.

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 14:06:42

Hi bump, sounds like progress! I had bloods done several times due to mix ups at drs and them not believing me that I don't ovulate on day 14! I was referred so quickly due to my age & time ttc. I started to get more regular when I started homeopathic stuff which really seemed to help. It's generally the time to ov that varies, I generally get AF 11-13 days after ov. Maybe this is your lucky month....!

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 14:42:44

Hmmm it's so odd because I believed stupidly that everyone on 28 day cycle ovulated on CD14 and so DTD around those days only in previous cycles. It's only once I had the 40 day cycle I realised I must not have ovulated when I thought I did. Looking back I had so many ovulation symptoms last month but thought I was pregnant at the time... This month I have learnt so much about my body but so annoyed I didn't track ovulation last month as I would know then how long my luteal phase was and so when AF was due this month.... Sigh! Wait continues, I would be on top of the world if I was pregnant this month but strangely willing AF as well as I know it should come tomorrow! Who knows hey. When you say homeopathic, what do you use? I was going to start on Agnes something or other because I read it can make your cycles shorter but will wait for blood test results first.

MrsExcited Mon 27-Jan-14 17:00:51

Sadly af has arrived for me today, 3 days early so not quite sure what is happening with cycle.

It has to be said i have never had such soore boobs as i have right now without being preg so was sad.

Have now been ttc for over 12 months with a mmc and an ectopic as our only indicators so will take myself off to doctors on weds and see what is happening.

Bumpforme2014 Mon 27-Jan-14 17:16:24

Sorry mrsexcited! How many DPO are you? Was it long enough for implantation?

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 27-Jan-14 17:28:02

That's rubbish mrse, hopefully the drs can give some answers?

bump I took a long list of potions but Agnes castus was key for me. Started it, got period week later (was long over due). Stopped it later on, no periods. Started it again, af returned. May have been coincidence sure enough. Good idea to wait till after bloods so you have a clean slate so to speak.

SweetPeaPods Tue 28-Jan-14 21:50:06

Sorry to hear that mrse.

Well, I caved in and tested even though af due sat or sunday and I swear its a faint line.
Going to test again in a couple of days. Not sure whether to mention anything to DH or not. We had 3mcs before ds so I know he'll just worry like mad. And obviously anything could happen in next couple of days, af could come yet.
Do I tell or keep quiet?

Bumpforme2014 Tue 28-Jan-14 22:02:14

Ooohhhh sweetpea sounds promising! I would wait to tell him, no point both of you worrying, at least if you tell him when you are sure your pregnant he won't get his hopes up and dashed.

Gingerbreadlady1 Tue 28-Jan-14 22:54:45

Oh my oh my sweetpea, that DOES sound promising! I think bump is giving good advice but don't think I could keep it to myself.... So that really doesn't help you at all!

SweetPeaPods Tue 28-Jan-14 23:01:33

I'm desperate to tell him but really not sure how. He'll also be annoyed I tested without him.
We're going to a spa tomorrow, should I tell them? I'm thinking most people wouldn't know at this time and it might still not happen.

Gingerbreadlady1 Tue 28-Jan-14 23:11:40

Oh bugger, difficult one. When I had my chemical preg in Nov, my other half took it much worse than I expected. I think maybe wait a couple of days, test together, you're still not 100% sure so will be over the moon if positive.

SweetPeaPods Wed 29-Jan-14 07:32:08

BFN this morning so going to keep quiet, either wait for af or test sat am.

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 17:44:13

Okay errrrrm guys can you help me I'm so scared! I don't know why but felt urge to test just not and got a faint line on cheapie so did superdrug own brand and line on that too! I cannot believe this I have no symptoms apart from such sore boobs and temp is up...... I read on packet you can get false positive if you have ovarian cyst, what if it's just a cyst? I don't know when AF due but I'm 14dpo so much be due by Friday. I'm so scared can this really be it? This is all I have ever wanted this cannot be happening I'm so scared about losing it if I am, hormones been all over the place had blood tests done yesterday to test them all.....do I need to go back to doctors now???? Help pleaseeeee

cupoftchai Wed 29-Jan-14 21:07:45

Hi bump wow a line! What fabulous news. Congratulations! I can hear that u r absolutely freaking out and probably in shock- but it is a positive test so congratulations!

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 21:30:42

Eeeeeeekkkk thank you I have calmed down now but still so surreal !!

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 21:49:24

2 positive tests bump, 14 days after ov....you're up duffed! Deep, deep breaths, pour yourself some wine. Just kidding!!! Delighted for you hon. It's natural to worry, plus it's all new & very exciting! What did your other half say? Details please!!!

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 21:50:03

This seems to be a lucky thread!

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 21:54:41

sweetpea how's things with you? You okay? X

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:13:07

Thanks gingerbread! DH was over the moon but like me, more nervous than anything that it sticks, going to ring docs next week about my bloods and explain the current situation! How are you doing??

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:19:40

I'm sure everything will be fine. Relish the moment! I'm good, 7dpo but going to a wedding fri, know its sooo unlikely, but may poas. Just in case....thoughts?

SweetPeaPods Wed 29-Jan-14 22:22:37

Congrats bump!
I'm getting a faint line on a first response, but nothing on boots own so little confused. Now had 3 faint lines on 3 fr tests.
Going to test again in a couple of days. Need to buy more tests but might do one with DH on sat.

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:31:56

Gingerbread that's annoying having a wedding fri, I would say 9dpo way too early unless your having major symptoms even if you get a BFN it may be false? Sweetpea you must be preggars, how many dpo are you ? I got very faint on cheapies but superdrug one was much darker even though they both same sensitivity!

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:39:12

A line is a line sweetpea, I agree with bump. One test must be more sensitive than the other, if there's a line you're preggers. Have you mentioned anything to other half yet?

Bump, you're right, plus this is month 15 so I'm not holding my breath...

SweetPeaPods Wed 29-Jan-14 22:46:15

Af due sat or sun so not sure how many days that makes me?
After 3 previous mcs I'm not going to get too excited yet. Not mentioned to DH but birthday on sat so going to get him a test

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:47:51

Well your part of the lucky thread so spreading the baby dust to you, only a matter of time.

SweetPeaPods Wed 29-Jan-14 22:48:46

Gingerbread with regards to the wedding just relax and enjoy yourself. remind yourself that many don't know they are pregnant for months and carry on as normal so as long as you don't drink to excess I'm sure all will be fine.

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 29-Jan-14 22:55:05

Thanks smile I hope so! First month on clomid so you never know. Would be amazing, think I'd freak out too lol!

That's a great idea sweetpea, I can understand your nerves, surely all the bad luck is behind you now, you've earnt it, will wait till weekend then to formerly congratulate you. You guys gonna join another thread then? Boo! grin

Bumpforme2014 Wed 29-Jan-14 23:40:09

I'm staying here to see you guys through to your BFPs

MabelMay Thu 30-Jan-14 03:06:04

Hi guys - can I join you? I'm reaching the end of my 2ww but I daren't poas yet. I can't bear the disappointment if it's BFN. I'm 14dpo. I think. I mean I did had the smiley face 15 and 16 days ago and DTD every day around then for four days.
But I'm 39. I've had 2 MCs in the the last 10 months. This is my 6th cycle ttc since the last MMC. I feel so cynical about it now. But at the same time can't stop feeling hopeful too - weird extremes.
Anyway - good luck everyone, am here to have hand held and to hold others too!
If AF hasn't arrived by the end of the weekend then i'll test.

Gingerbreadlady1 Thu 30-Jan-14 18:54:00

You may be here for some time, appropriately named bumpforme2014!

Hi maybel, I'm with you on the cynicism front. I'm 38 so can't help hoping wildly but then it's been 15months with nothing, nada, zilch! Still, 14dpo sounds promising, and there's a bit of a bump-boom going on here so maybe it's catching!

How long dpo do you usually AF?

MabelMay Thu 30-Jan-14 19:31:38

ginger, I think AF may have just arrived. Small amount of blood when wiped just now after pee. I'm just going to go and hide in a corner for a while. I don't know why I let myself get hopeful every month. F**k it.

Have you seen a fertility specialist at all ginger or are you just shagging and hoping for the best still?

I'll come back later after I've had a little weep.

Gingerbreadlady1 Thu 30-Jan-14 20:02:01

I'm so sorry mabelmay, it doesn't matter what i say to myself, every month it's a bitter dissapointment. I can only offer thanks and wine. And junk food.

Yeah, been referred, have mild pcos with very irregular cycles so I'm on month 1 with clomid. With every little twinge I think could this be it, then I berate myself in an attempt not to get too optimistic but you do anyway.

Come back when you feel like a chat xx

Bumpforme2014 Sat 01-Feb-14 10:43:44

Any news?

Gingerbreadlady1 Sat 01-Feb-14 18:54:14

Not from me, did a test yesterday, neg, but only 9dpo (is day 1 the day of positive opk test or would it be the next day?). How you feeling? X

Bumpforme2014 Sat 01-Feb-14 19:48:23

Hi gingerbread i had the same question, I think it's the day after. I'm feeling okay thanks very nervous but so happy :-) no more symptoms yet.

Gingerbreadlady1 Sat 01-Feb-14 20:05:23

smile you booked your doc appt yet? Got my 7 dop bloods done yesterday, very interested in what they'll say.

Bumpforme2014 Sat 01-Feb-14 20:12:09

Not yet I read they don't wanna know until your eight weeks gone? Need to call them on Tuesday anyway because I got bloods done Monday before I knew I was pregnant. I hope you get your BFP x

Gingerbreadlady1 Sat 01-Feb-14 22:49:27

I think they'll want to register you on the system so to speak so you can get booked in for your first scan. Aww, so exciting for you. I hope it happens soon but feeling crampy...doesn't bode well sad

Bumpforme2014 Sat 01-Feb-14 23:16:37

Fingers crossed!

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 03-Feb-14 18:39:40

All very quiet here.... (Tumbleweed blows through)

MabelMay Mon 03-Feb-14 19:01:49

I've been hiding away since AF, gingerbread - starting to gear up for the next cycle... How's things with you? Have you POAS'd yet?

Gingerbreadlady1 Mon 03-Feb-14 21:12:00

Hi mabelmay nice to have you back! I'm 11/12 days dpo, got a bfn on fri (too early I know but was off to a wedding & wanted to indulge!). Little cramps started sat, thought af was on its way, then light brown (tmi?) spotting sun/mon. Sooooooo hoping its ib. Gonna poas tomorrow eeek!

This is ttc#1, cycle 15 so trying not to get hopes up but as you know, it's impossible!

How you feeling about a fresh month ttc? It's so hard when month after month it's a bfn.

MabelMay Mon 03-Feb-14 22:47:57

gingerbread that sounds promising! Fingers tightly crossed for you. When is your AF actually due? Does it always come 14 dpo?

I feel okay about a fresh month ttc. But then the moment my AF arrives (as it has done the last 7 months, other than when I was PG twice last year, both ending in MC) I think - Okay, maybe I should get some help. I'm 39. But then once AF has gone I get in a more positive mood again and think "nope, no reason to feel negative. this is my month." But it never is! I know I'm ovulating okay and everything looks to be in order, except for mild endo, so we'll see....

Have you been doing or taking anything to help you along the ttc route?

Hopefully you won't be joining me in the early march BFP thread - I'll be watching this space carefully. Best of luck!

MabelMay Mon 03-Feb-14 22:49:54

Oh, just saw gingerbread that you got your 7dpo bloods done this month. I had same last month and my progesterone levels were high, (well he said they were 8 point something, and I don't really know what that means but he seemed to think it was a good sign) - hope yours will be too.

MabelMay Mon 03-Feb-14 22:51:59

Oh, and congratulations Bumpforme!

Gingerbreadlady1 Tue 04-Feb-14 17:15:00

Hi mabel

Neg test but no AF yet, not feeling so optimistic now sad. I usually get AF 11-13 since positive opk test so not late yet, guess just too much crazy symptom spotting!

My drs referred me to fertility specialist after 6mths ttc due to age. Also bloods were off but think this wax due to crazy cycles, up to 64 days! Had loads of tests which was actually quite comforting. Mild pcos, put on clomid to regulate my cycles to give me more bites at the cherry so to speak!

It may be an idea to get checked as if anythings slightly out there may be simple things they can do to help (like me).

MabelMay Wed 05-Feb-14 19:49:09

Keeping fingers crossed for you Gingerbread. Let us know what happens.

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 05-Feb-14 20:09:48

Nooooooo! I'm now on the march bus, bloody witch got me last night. Gutted.

Cycle 16 here we go..don't know how long I can keep this up!

Bumpforme2014 Wed 05-Feb-14 20:28:20

Booooooo :-(

MabelMay Wed 05-Feb-14 20:32:42

Oh Gingerbread - boo indeed. so f**king unfair. sad
Sorry to hear that, truly. And it's hard getting back on that bus.
But I'll be there with you. And I have a great feeling about March...

Do something nice for yourself.

Gingerbreadlady1 Wed 05-Feb-14 20:39:27

Aww thanks bump and mabel. Speaking to others going through the same thing def helps.

Blood tests not back yet but will up date when in. Working till fri but being taken out for dinner to celebrate promotion, gonna have lots of wine to compensate. The copious amount of cake is taking the edge off it. (Determined to try to stay optimistic)

Bumpforme2014 Wed 05-Feb-14 22:41:22

That's the attitude gingerbread, just to give you some hope I found out today that my cousin is expecting twins after a couple of years of trying so there it is, proof it can just take a little longer for some but it is inevitable if you keep trying. Xxxx

Gingerbreadlady1 Thu 06-Feb-14 17:04:52

Cheers bump I love hearing these stories, gives me hope! X

Gingerbreadlady1 Fri 07-Feb-14 18:44:43

Hi all

mabel, got my bloods. Apparently progesterone should be more than 30 but less than 100 at 7dpo (which seems different from what you were told however I'm on clomid so that may be reason??) I was 29 at 8dpo so not brilliant but ok apparently.
