Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

The link to Part 19 is here

The current Grads Fred is here

The rather nobbish article in which we became a little bit notorious is here grin

Happy shagging shaggers!

Didn't want to start the new fred on a low point, but ERTD arrived for me today. With full on bowel endo to go with it. On the plus side, it's bang on time, so at least I'm regular!

DP surprised me last night, I was complaining about my stomach pains and cramps (pre ERTD so still hoping), and he said "Ooh could it be a sign of something?" - he has always avoided symptom spotting before, but now that he knows he's Capt Supersperm, I think he's allowing himself to hope....

Oh we'll were just gonna have to DTD more to use up the calories!

Go on, invoke Sod's law! X

Latium123 Thu 09-Jan-14 13:01:03

Nice idea minion. Unfortunately I wouldn't eat any of those things preggo or not. Wine is my vice and the way this uncertainty is making me feel I could so with a glass or two!!

Having just started ttc in nov I am a bit novice on ov calculation so not 100% sure. I was starting to worry I had a short luteal phase though as appear to ov later in cycle. Based on last month I think I ov'd around 27 dec based on ewcm and contraband positive lh surge on 26 dec. Based on length of cycle I calculated ertd due on 1 jan. I have very regular cycles so this is what is throwing me. If I have late ov then later ertd would be a good thing but this has never hopened before. And still have metallic taste in mouth which could of course by caused by many other things. Think will phone doc tomorrow if next test is negative. Think they can do a blood test and if not preggo then I can maybe discuss what is suddenly going wrong with my hitherto regular cycle.

Catypillar Thu 09-Jan-14 17:59:28

This is my first JS thread! Here thanks to a nice obstetrician colleague- I asked her if there's any research evidence that you get pregnant faster if you use OPKs and she said NOOOOOO they just mess up relationships and are only useful if one of you works offshore and you need to plan your liaisons very carefully, everyone else should just make sure they have sex every 2-3 days... Currently deciding if I'm going to remove my Mirena myself or get the GP practice nurse to do it. Accidentally pulled the last one out because DH was complaining about the threads so I thought I'd try to feel them, and pulled them by mistake so it got dislodged, was in the process of breaking the news to DH that we couldn't have sex until I'd got the coil sorted by the GP and suddenly felt really dizzy, vague memories of "cervical shock" from medical school, figured I'd better remove it properly before I collapsed, it came out very easily but DH was disgusted (in retrospect maybe I shouldn't have shown it to him...) I can't be bothered with the trip to the GP as I'd have to miss work and catch up later but DH is like "eww no that's really offputting, there will be no shagging if you do that again"

Latium123 Thu 09-Jan-14 19:10:46

Not party pooper at all Lil. Any info is welcome. I don't know what's going on. I was worried I had a short luteal phase since I started thinking about when I ov but what I do know is I have never in my life had this long a cycle. LIke I say, it could be a good thing if I am having late ovulation to have longer cycle but it's never been this long before in more than 20 years. Something is up, just need to work out what. I'll be pleased when this is all resolved, if not BFP then back to shagging without worrying again.

Catypillar - that's great that the just shagging approach is medically approved. Sounds good to me.

Can I have a hooya/smack round the chops, please? Doing symptom spotting and getting myself all worked up. Only CD24 so really shouldn't. The breadsticks are feeling very strange, on and off. I'm sure it's just one of those "new" ERTD symptoms that keep us on our toes. Or maybe...

Hi newbies, and sorry about ERTD catching so many of you. Let's hope that's her only showing for the rest of 2014.

Am currently reading about SPERM in Zita. Absolutely fascinating!

Nessalina Fri 10-Jan-14 07:41:59

Morning smile
Mini hooya juniper, though you can be forgiven as you're in the prime symptom spotting time of the month!
What do we need to know about sperm then?!

lil1ady Fri 10-Jan-14 08:08:25

juniper I love the nc! hang on there, but mini hooya for you!

Minion Fri 10-Jan-14 08:16:27

Morning wimmin!
Drink more water POA is going splendidly. Finding my eyes quite fresh in the am instead of all crusty after a nights sleep, and yes, I find I'm more.. Ummm.... Moist (sorry ha) than usual.
So get on it, though it's a bit of a ball ache. I only had 6 glasses yesterday and went to the loo 13 times!
All for the greater good though I suppose eh!

I have my first driving lesson tonight and once again, I'm shitting bricks. Someone pls tell me I'm not going to crash and burn myself or some poor little pedestrian just trying to get to her home after a week at work.

Also for the past 5 nights I'm having the most surreal dreams. Things must be bad, sometimes I really only remember snippets, but this is weird.

1974rach Fri 10-Jan-14 09:17:59

minion you'll be fine chuck. fx your driving lesson goes smoothly.

lol at moist. my friend loathes that word. particularly if it is paired with gusset!

grin smile

Minion Fri 10-Jan-14 09:27:07

Moist gusset! Ewwwww

I hates the word 'quiche', it's a wrong'un fo' sho

Latium123 Fri 10-Jan-14 09:57:27

Yep, that is what I meant lol. don't think I expressed it very well. I think I have had late ov which would explain randomly long cycle this month. It is the first month I have even thought about when I ovulated though so could ge wrong. I am by now pretty sure am not PG but dh gets back from work trip tonight so will prob jump his bones even if the late evil one is just around the corner.

Oh, and i must drink more water!

Latium123 Fri 10-Jan-14 09:58:42

lil not lol, lol!!

GCSE biology was wrong! I am sure they said they grow and die every three days. Well, it's 100 days!
Sperm formation very important so don't drink, smoke or do drugs. 80% of alcoholic men are sterile!
Zinc supplements are good as long as your copper is balanced.
A man would have to ejaculate 30 times to empty his tubes entirely, they hang around for ages!
Only need to "store" up the sperm if there are problems with them.

Thanks for the hooyas! grin

Catypillar Fri 10-Jan-14 10:45:00

Minion you will be fine, they have dual controls so the instructor will stop anything bad from happening, I did all sorts of terrible things in driving lessons and the guy saved me every time... good luck!

Saznut Fri 10-Jan-14 10:49:27

hI all, catypailla, omg you pulled it out and showed dh! that's so funny and gross at same time. I'm all up for drinking water and did an amazing job when at work as nice cool water dispenser, but took two days off and it's gone out of the window. meant to be using these days do bring my number up to 10, but ended up going to bingo with dh then playing games on the pad til 3am. woops. maybe next month.
symptom spotting to a minimum, had lots of cramps and booby ache, but that's regular after ov. also no 'moist' (sorry can't remember the word you use for it) at all. more dry than the Sahara desert! !! maybe shag later, pull out the Ann summer's gear lol.
well its medically confirmed right? !

DulcetMoans Fri 10-Jan-14 11:07:02

rach - I openly hate those words. Are you my RL friend?! Scary thought!

CosyTeaBags Fri 10-Jan-14 11:08:41

Hmm interesting what Zita says about sperm Juniper - I was under the impression that you needed to, ahem, 'release' them every few days to keep them fresh. But that was the advice from the VR team, who I guess assume that their patients might have sub-standard sperm.

I also read somewhere that it takes about 3 months for the sperm that's being made to be ready to do the business. So you will reap the benefits or suffer the damage that you do now in 3 months time. So feed those swimmers plenty of Zinc, pumpkin seeds, avocado, tomatoes, sweet potato, fish, red meat... and get him to stay away from fags, booze and hot jacuzzis!

Good luck Minion you'll be fine. The dual controls will prevent you from any disasters. It's scary as hell to think 'Shit, I'm in control of this large metal box on wheels', but you get used to it. Be thankful if your instructor doesn't do what mine did - place his hand on your knee every time you should brake.. interesting strategy for a 60 yr old instructor teaching 17 year old girls, dontcha think... hmm

God, what a lovely thought that this could be my last ERTD for 2014... I currently feel like my uterus is falling out of my arse/fanj and there's no way I could leave the house this morning sad

MissHobart Fri 10-Jan-14 11:17:47

moist <shudders>

Am on with the JSing this month even though due to the mc I'm not sure when I'll even be fertile! definitely not checking for ovulation by POAS hmm

cosy I'd need to read back but I think the idea is that if they ejaculate regularly (like daily/every two days) the older ones at the "top" of the tubes are released and the fresher ones below so I think what you've said is more or less correct. She used some example of a bloke working on the rigs and not ejaculating for two weeks (HOW?!) and obviously when they dtd his spermies weren't as good. I'm actually going to buy the hard copy version now so I can leave it open on the relevant pages for DH to read. ;)

Good luck with the driving minion. I started laughing when I first made a car move! I love driving, enjoy.

Lynsey14 Fri 10-Jan-14 19:17:19

Oh cookie hugs for you :-( what caused this? Maybe there's something he's concerned about? I say this because before DH and I got married we had pretty massive debt probs and it made him 'decide' he didn't want kids, through good fortune we managed to pay our debts off and he confessed he really DID want kids but never thought we could afford them so didn't want to 'get my hopes up'

cookielove Fri 10-Jan-14 19:49:11

Redshoes56 Fri 10-Jan-14 21:07:03

Redshoes56 Fri 10-Jan-14 21:18:08

juniper I didn't get a ton more info but I do feel confident. My doctor likes to see at least two viable embryos at the end of any cycle, and I only had one technically ... hence a more aggressive second attempt. My Day 3 blood work came back normal today so I'm starting the two weeks of birth control tonight to "quiet down" my ovaries before starting injections. Here we go again!

Nessalina Fri 10-Jan-14 21:45:11

I'm bloated like a whale, back killing me, tummy aches and in general feeling sorry for myself.

Cookie sorry to hear that, hugs. Perhaps have another convo with him when you've both had time to think about what you've said?

cookie so sorry your man is says these things. sad I hope once the results are in he'll feel calmer with the information, either way. I don't know if this helps at all, but after I had the molar pregnancy I decided I was never going to try again, the risks were too high and I couldn't face going through all the sadness and stress again. I have (clearly!) found my way back but maybe he's at that stage of thinking it's not so bad to be childfree? Just keep talking and listening. Sending big hugs to you

lil after that intake the law of sod will give you TWINS!!

red glad you're feeling more confident and the docs explained it all. It's so hard, hope the birth control goes ok, not too long to go now. Best of luck.

I continue to have strange sensations in my breadsticks and the stomach bloats in and out. According to Zita I'm eating all the wrong things ie ALL THE SUGAR so maybe that's causing the bloating. She's gone a bit woo-woo so might have to go for another name change. ;)

Happy weekend all. xx

hd19 Fri 10-Jan-14 22:18:55

Omg cookie that's rubbish, turns out I wrote my post thinking only page one existed - then found the next2!
Yay lil, time to DDT?! It's got to help that!!

Lynsey14 Fri 10-Jan-14 22:27:23

Aw lil when ERTD arrived my first thought was 'well at least I can have a ciggy and not be too worried!'

Felt pretty guilty though!

cookielove Fri 10-Jan-14 22:52:59

I am at my folks, can't believe this is happening!

Results came today, basically that started the whole thing. He is fine but I have an extra chromosome. Which means not much. Basically only girls can get it, it's not hereditary and it's just one of those things. I can carry healthy children.

He did say a while back if either of us had something then he wouldn't want to try, but he was sure that the test would come back fine!

Nessalina Fri 10-Jan-14 23:53:41

Wow. Gutted for you that it's not a clear result cookie sad People react to bad news in different ways, and it sounds like he's just shut down. Doesn't mean he won't come back around though, you just need to give him space but stick to your guns. If you want kids of your own there's no point pretending you don't! sad
I haven't heard of this before, so I hope you don't mind me asking, but how does the extra chromosome thing affect you? Do you have a chance of passing it on each time you conceive? Is it a high chance? And if you have it and you're ok, why is it that bad that it's putting your DH off? Xx

beetlehope Sat 11-Jan-14 00:11:03

Name beetle
Age 3....7! Yuck
Dc nope
Ttc not really sure , no use of hats on willy since wedding in nov 2012 but didn't see much action or even get when you were meant to bonk until prob August 2013 when we thought we better get our finger out or rather sperm in !

Was meant to Dtd tonight as decided to approach this month like rabbits. However stuck and work and got back to a sleeping husband as he's up at 4. Oh life u suck and continue to connive to keep me un pregnant.

hd19 Sat 11-Jan-14 07:41:31

Pretty sounds advice, Ness, boys especially need thinking & adjusting time to everything!

cookielove Sat 11-Jan-14 07:47:19

Ness it is called triple X chromosome, I have the mildest form. It can cause a small range of problems but nothing to bad. It said women with this go onto to have healthy children.

When I was telling dh he just said honestly I don't think I want children.

Latium123 Sat 11-Jan-14 10:39:31

Sorry to hear this Cookie - that must be very upsetting for you. I agree with Ness - maybe this is a reaction to the stress of the tests and he will come back round. I hope you manage to work through this x

MissHobart Sat 11-Jan-14 10:40:16

sad for Cookie - I'm So sorry, what a shit time you're going through. Ttc is hard enough without the other one changing their mind! I don't know what I'd do in your position, just know that we're here. Hopefully he does just need to get his thoughts and feelings in order!

Sending lots of love! smile

cookielove Sat 11-Jan-14 12:21:29

Without giving to much detail away, he had a really bad childhood and his parents are basically shit, he thinks if we have a child together then he may end up hating me, hating the child and resenting the whole situation when we were perfectly happy before, however he is not seeing the whole picture as i am not perfectly happy i want a child. So last night my mum came and picked me up and i am at their house now, dh and i have texted all morning and still seem to be going round in circles.

So i sent him a text saying we're breaking up, i'm going to move out. He said he doesn't want that and basically said ok fine we will have a kid, of course i am forcing his hand, i don't want to. But the truth is, i don't want to live without him. I also can't bear not having children.

I've been looking at flats this morning seeing where i can move to sad

Not sure if we are gonna stick it out, but i just want him to try. I can't belive that this time yesterday i was so blissful happy and now i am in tears 90% of the time.

oh cookie I'm so sorry this is happening. Massive hugs and support to you.
All I will say is try not to make big decisions right now...maybe get together in a quiet cafe, somewhere neutral, and try to talk it over. Or maybe see if someone like Relate can see you to help have the conversation?

It's a lot to take in, all at once, with the diagnosis and what that might mean for you, babies, his feelings, his's a lot to deal with, particularly in the aftermath of an MC.

Lynsey14 Sat 11-Jan-14 14:11:24

Oh cookie I'm so sorry :-( to me he sounds scared. Scared about MC, scared about the baby, scared of turning into his parents.

I'd like to tell you he'll come around in time but I can't make that promise, I just hope that you guys can work through this.

What I would say though is hold off on the flat for a wee while, you don't want to rush into a lease without fully exploring what's happening between you both first

beetlehope Sat 11-Jan-14 14:50:09

Cookie give it time - I know that is hard. Men are impulsive and fearful but I am sure that as he loves you it will all be alright when he sorts it out in his head. Men just take longer to process things than women. X

ZingChoirsOfAngels Sat 11-Jan-14 14:55:22

Just saying hello and sprinkling more baby dust.

So sorry to hear, that's harsh. thanks

lil1ady Sat 11-Jan-14 15:13:45

cookie I think the bigger picture is that he needs help to deal with what's happened to him. I think he needs counselling and relate seems like a good place to start. I think he does want kids, but he's scared of all the uncertainty.
you need to give yourself some time to really think about what you need. I'm concerned that he knows how important this is to you but he still keeps blowing hot and cold. what's to stop him changing his mind again in 5months? what if you get pg and he changes his mind and runs? I can't tell you what to do honey, just offer my opinion and tell you what I think I would do, and what I would do is leave if he's not prepared to take action to deal with his problems eg by going to see a counsellor. you deserve the happiness of having a baby with a loving partner without the uncertainty of how your partner will react to it. don't make rash decisions, but there's no harm looking at flats and letting him know this is seriously make or break for you. xxthanks

cookielove Sat 11-Jan-14 15:27:16

We're right in the middle of buying a property. Really just waiting to exchange now. Started looking at flats to rent by myself earlier!

Lynsey14 Sat 11-Jan-14 16:05:10

And of course cookie don't forget we're all here for you xxxxxx

Minion Sat 11-Jan-14 16:31:18

Oh cookie love, I echo what the others are saying. He sounds scared, and we all know how men retreat into a childlike state when scared.
I hope he can see what an amazing, strong and lovely woman he has and doesn't let his past cloud his future, before he makes any rash decisions.
I suspect he's still in mourning after the mc also, which won't make you feel any better but this is what my husband does when he's backed into a corner with emotion, completely shuts down.
I'm sending my love x

MissHobart Sat 11-Jan-14 16:58:41

I echo people's advice re counselling, in my opinion everyone should have it! My friend went to relate for a year and said it was the best thing they did!

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 17:24:37

Name: mrsb
dc: no just 3 doggies and dh
ttc since dec 13 so very early days yet!

I think I like this fred, all those opks....charting and day counting was scaring the bejesus out of me!!

Oh cookie men are a syrange breed, always overreact and then regret it later. Hopefully everything will clarify itself once you have spoken to him properly x

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 17:45:06

Nessalina Sat 11-Jan-14 18:47:38

Welcome Mrs B! smile

lil1ady Sat 11-Jan-14 19:03:27

hi mrsb

well that's it, last straw, even the celebs are rubbing it in. I go on Facebook to be met with my friends liking Jessica Ennis' pregnancy announcement. ugh!

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 19:24:44

She might have been trying for months too.....who knows?!

Minion Sat 11-Jan-14 20:02:02

lil exact same convo at mine last night!

She has said it was a complete surprise.

I'm sat at home on my own as DH is out with friends who've been together five minutes and now she's four months pregnant. The two blokes just talk bloke stuff constantly and I am so not up for questions about nursery decor tonight so I'm just not doing it to myself. Feeling quite happy about that decision!

Welcome mrsb

cookie any progress today? Hope you're having an relaxing evening xxx

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 20:27:33

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

Juniper I bet you feel like its being rubbed in your face, not sure how I'd feel in your shoes!

I was talking about it with DH, he thinks I'm being somewhat irrational. I know life isn't fair and blah blah blah. But it would feel like it was being rubbed in my face and I know that I would get wound up and come home stewing about how UNFAIR it all is. So, I'm not doing it to myself! At home reading & listening to CDs. Very nice.

mrsb87 Sat 11-Jan-14 21:13:56

It always feels that way and probably are being irrational but it doesn't stop us does it?!
It will be your turn soon im sure!

Tonight is dvd and snuggles infront on the woodburner (with the dogs!). Whats everyone else upto?

lil1ady Sat 11-Jan-14 23:20:46

i did the food shopping, repaired something for mil on the sewing machine and caught up on greys (omg!) and Jamie & Jimmy's friday night feast. my Saturday nights are sooo rock n roll! I just need the baby upstairs asleep so I have an excuse to be this dull!

Nessalina Sat 11-Jan-14 23:55:21

I worked this morning, came home, had a cheeky snooze, then headed out to meet some friends at a local pub that had a beer festival on! Enjoyed being able to booze it up (whilst AF is in town!) and had a nice time! Then decided to head to the local cinema on my tod to see American Hustle smile it was very good! Just got home. Walked there and back which is about 3 miles, so really quite pleased with myself - walking more is one of my unofficial New Years resolutions!

CosyTeaBags Sun 12-Jan-14 00:13:02

Haven't read through properly, but just wanted to add my support for Cookie hope you're getting lots of RL support at the moment. It will get better flowers

I would strongly recommend the Relationships thread, it's full of some very wise MNers who will give you lots of wise words of help. They have been amazing to me through several difficult times.

And Welcome MrsB!

I'm in the throes if ERTD misery, so it was a greasy breakfast out with DP, followed by a lovely walk with the dogs today, then pizza, a film and Red Wine! Lovely!

Nessalina Sun 12-Jan-14 07:07:43

Why am I awake at 7am when it's Sunday and I don't need to be?!

snap ness! Am forcing myself to go back to sleep.

DulcetMoans Sun 12-Jan-14 09:10:41

Ergh. Went out for a 30th birthday and drank cocktails all night. Not classy ones though, ones that come in pint glasses and are made with WKD or similar. Not hung over just tired and throat really sore from shouting. Not cut out for this anymore.

Was partly trying to drown sorrows as AF is on her way but actually it's not happened yet. Probably today though.

Lynsey14 Sun 12-Jan-14 10:30:06

The dog woke me up at 8 and is now having a nap when I'm wide awake. If he wasn't so damned cute he'd get chucked out the window for his crimes!!!

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 10:38:37

Id rather be at home in bed and awake than at work with a rota cock up which means I can't open up the shop til someone else comes in....major manager cockup!
I'll just sit here with a greggs bacon abd sausage bap and a nice cuppa tea then!

DulcetMoans Sun 12-Jan-14 10:59:15

Oh I would like some bacon bap mrsb, can you pop it round before your manager turns up? I can't get up cos I've got the kitten on me... She thinks my face is a toy and she would very much like to use my phone. Probably wants to chat to you lot!

MissHobart Sun 12-Jan-14 11:02:57

Old man cat has also just decided to play with my face, I love having my lips clawed! hmm

FurryScoob Sun 12-Jan-14 11:42:20

Mmmmmm bacon & sausage buttie, mrsb you've made me Hungary, I'm having a lazy Sunday catching up with Christmas TV. AF has left the building so need to work up some energy to rid DP of his old sperms & get the fresh ones ready for action!

cookie I hope your ok & working things out together. thanks

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 11:48:35

Ah was good bap...nomnom. shop now open and "working" really hard....ahem.
Not sure how I'd feel having a cat use my face as a catscratcher!!

Nessalina Sun 12-Jan-14 12:47:57

I went back to sleep, just getting up now! grin Inspired by bacon bap - going to raid the fridge!

Hahaha, snap again ness, with a couple of brief journeys to make tea and put washing on.

Naughty me POAS this morning. BFN but it is a bit too early. Felt a bit sad but a couple of days before ERTD due. Good luck everyone starting JSing this cycle, banish AF for 2014!

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 13:30:39

Naughty juniper! How long before af arrives? I cant wait to ages yet though! Oh well more dtd later grin

Nessalina Sun 12-Jan-14 17:28:23

Didn't have any bread, so ended up with bacon & egg pitta, lol. Was pretty good! ERTD has buggered off now, so think I might target DH for a warm- up shag tonite grin

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 17:47:25

Sorry guys didn't mean to start a bacon epidemic!

Well mrsb I've been meaning to ask about this's been a weird one!
Started getting EWCM about CD12 but think I ov'd CD20--due to contraband being in use--. So I'm really not clear on when to expect ERTD or what. My usual cycle lately has been 28 days so on CD27 which is where I am now I was getting spotting etc. Nothing yet but then if I ov'd CD20 I probably wouldn't get much going on til about CD30? Getting lots of weird cramps at the moment too so who knows. Hurry up and wait, I guess!

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 19:13:32

Im sorry to have to ask but I don't know what cd.. means......or ewcm come to think of it.

Nessalina Sun 12-Jan-14 19:19:40

EWCM = egg white cervical mucus (the way cervical mucus looks around the time of ovulation - prime sperm carrying stuff!)
CD = cycle day

Ah, sorry. Someone upthread was saying they couldn't figure out the acronyms! Thanks ness.

So the upshot of it all is, who knows what's going on?? Sitting here making myself all sad so will get a cup of tea and do something else while I wait for Sherlock to start. smile

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 19:38:11

Thanks for the clarification ness! It sounds like a really frustrating time for you, hopefully you'll get some answers soon!
I wish I could poas this week!

lil1ady Sun 12-Jan-14 20:15:18

juniper do you have any idea what your lp is? if not I'd say test after cd34 ie 14 day lp. did u say your spotting now at CD 28? that could be implantation bleedinggrin

Thanks lil, no spotting yet, would expect to if normal cycle and ERTD coming Tuesday. Will try to calm down and hang on til if cd34 rolls round! Fingers crossed.

DulcetMoans Sun 12-Jan-14 20:32:44

Waiting, waiting, waiting! I know she's coming, I know it... But where is she?

Didn't get bacon but had a hot cross bun.

Gennz Sun 12-Jan-14 21:49:45

Hi ladies,

Would love to join in! Am far too lazy to deal with all the charting etc... Am on cycle 1, AF due about 25 Jan. I had my copper coil out in mid Dec, AF arrived 29 December which was a bit early (26 day cycle rather than usual 28/29 days). So I should be ovulating about now (CD16) - have the usual symptoms of slight cramps, sore boobs, water retention but no CM which is a bit weird. So we're cracking on with DTD and I guess we'll find out 2 weeks if it worked!

Has anyone read Expecting Better? I recommend it.

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 21:57:51

Hi gennz! Sounds like we are on a similar cycle as I am next due on 25th.

Gennz Sun 12-Jan-14 22:03:22

Fingers crossed for you mrsb !

I've never been super clucky (I'm 32) but the moment I took the IUD out I was like a woman on a mission - I tried to ban DH from going for a run yesterday as he needed to conserve his energy for shagging blush

mrsb87 Sun 12-Jan-14 22:13:25

Haha thats awesome gennz never heard that before! Luckily mine has been sat on his toosh playing xbox all day... plenty of energy for dtd!

cookielove Mon 13-Jan-14 07:51:10

Hello newbies.

little update: I'm back in the flat, dh has admitted that he is scared and agreed to counselling! He is hoping it's all in his head!

lil1ady Mon 13-Jan-14 09:03:40

Morning everyone

cookie that is a positive step. try and remember the positive in all this - your results were good and you were just unlucky last time. look after yourself

DulcetMoans Mon 13-Jan-14 09:19:30

So glad to hear you are back home cookie. It's not the ideal way to deal with the problem but at least he has identified that he is probably just scared.

MissHobart Mon 13-Jan-14 10:13:01

Cookie - so glad to hear that! Counselling is def worth it, tough but rewarding!

1974rach Mon 13-Jan-14 10:18:42

cookie that is a massive step in the right direction. Hopefully your OH has just had an attack of the collywobbles!

Counselling is a brilliant idea.

mrsb87 Mon 13-Jan-14 10:30:54

Sounds like you're on the right track cookie, fingera crossed for you smile

CosyTeaBags Mon 13-Jan-14 11:31:42

Good to hear you're ok Cookie - you've both been through a lot and a bit of nerves is understandable.

I'm feeling a bit deflated today - nearing the end of ERTD, so gearing up for another round of JSing and hoping, and hoping, and hoping....

DP is incredibly optimistic now that we know he is fertile, but it does raise the question of why it hasn't worked yet... I know it's normal for people to try for months, but it's just frustrating.

Need a shake and a dose of optimism ladies!!

lil1ady Mon 13-Jan-14 12:03:55

just had my blood taken, feeling nervous now. results won't be in for 2 weeks! bloody rediculous

ZingChoirsOfAngels Mon 13-Jan-14 14:05:23

that's good news, really rooting for you two!

lil fx for you, I hope you get the results sooner than that
(btw I'm back to trying to drink my water - I can only cope with max 500ml at the moment, hoping to up it soon)

lil1ady Mon 13-Jan-14 15:11:10

thanks zingsmile I've booked dhs sa fo
glad to hear you've managed to get back on the water. feel free to pop in on the water thread, you started it after all!

lil1ady Mon 13-Jan-14 15:11:31

*fo = for this week!

Great news cookie hope things continue to improve.

Big hug and dose of "you will get there!" for cosy. The time thing drives me up the wall a bit, it works first time for everyone else, so it seems! But we'll get there in the end.

All symptoms have disappeared! My body is strange.

Minion Mon 13-Jan-14 18:46:55

Fantastic news cookie chick, i'm so glad for you x
Ladies, quick one as i'm on a schedule, tho sadly not a shag sched, I can confirm that after careful scientific experiments were undertaken, that a shit Load of water does indeed make more ewcm.
Sodding typical i'm at the other end of the country tho, must dash. There's free cocktails to be drank x

Gennz Mon 13-Jan-14 18:58:24

Glad to hear things are looking up cookie - it feels stressful enough just going through this process without all the other upheaval thrown in too.

I'm on CD 17 - have had the sore boobs and puffy eyelids that I normally get round this time but no EWCM - in fact no CM at all. Bit weird as I usually notice it. This is my first cycle since having my copper IUD out - I wonder if it's made a difference? Any ideas? Anyway I assume I've ovulated but will get shagging tonight just in case. So diligent.

hd19 Mon 13-Jan-14 19:52:50

Great news cookie, always good when you can identify an issue & start dealing with it (damn too much development chat at work today has seeped into my brain!)
Right I'm off to down multiple glasses of water, then lure dh into Dtd! Happy jsing all!

Gennz Mon 13-Jan-14 20:13:17

why the water hd19? I'm new to this and basically completely clueless ...

hd19 Mon 13-Jan-14 20:34:45

Minion has been doing an experiment as apparently it helps with the cervical mucus, aka pant snot, which apparently is a good thing! I'm pretty clueless too but picking up tips along the way!

Gennz Mon 13-Jan-14 20:59:03

Ahhhh thanks! My CM seems to have gone missing so I'll give it a shot.

CosyTeaBags Mon 13-Jan-14 21:27:16

Good to know Minion - I'm really trying to drink more, inspired by this and lil's water thread. I'll report back once it's pant snot time to let you know if it's made any difference!

Juniper your body really is messing with you this month eh? Am I right in thinking that by your revised calculations, ERTD could be due tomorrow... have you POAS again recently?

Confession time... I ordered a BBT today (thought I'd ordered it before Christmas, but it never arrived. I went on to Amazon ready to get angry, and realized it was still sitting in my basket, un-ordered..) I know it's contraband, but I need to figure out the right day for my 'Day 21, which isn't ever on Day 21 test' . I may need a few stern shakes from you ladies to prevent me from getting too reliant obsessed with it though!

mrsb87 Mon 13-Jan-14 21:46:21

Aaaaaaaah no!!! I hope it works for out for you. I know I wouldn't be able to work out stuff like that lol

cosy I would be expecting ERTD tomorrow usually...maybe I'll POAS tomorrow, I'll see how I feel! Hope the temping works out, I couldn't get on with it when I tried, too bleary eyed first thing in the morning!

Hope those two weeks fly by lil.

Nessalina Mon 13-Jan-14 22:52:43

Ah, don't worry Cosy - we're all guilty of the odd contraband infringement every now and again! wink
I am once again confused by my body, my period finished on Saturday evening, however today I have had random blood splurge! Maybe due to me and the DH having DTD last night, but who knows? hmm

Redshoes56 Mon 13-Jan-14 23:24:01

cosy - don't feel bad, I did the temping thing for awhile (sorry, viroids) and it was against the rules but I did learn lots of interesting things about my cycle. I was not super obsessed with it, never really set an alarm to make sure I stuck the thing in my mouth at the exact same minute every day. You'll still get enough of a sense of patterns whatever you do.

cookie - sounds like things are moving in the right direction. Hang in there.

Welcome, gennz!

Not much new here in Shoesville. Started my birth control regimen this week to "quiet down" my ovaries before the next round of IVF injections. Got some just-for-fun shagging in this weekend after both being out with nasty colds for awhile, so that was nice.

Is it really only Monday?

DulcetMoans Tue 14-Jan-14 09:29:32

Well it's looking like I am out again. ERTD been threatening since Saturday night but not quite got here, I think she's found her way this morning. Bit of an odd one as I am very much an all or nothing lady when it comes to ERTD so it's been an annoying couple of days with 'will she, won't she?'.

So we have done all we can now... and we really did throw everything at it this month. Onto the fertility clinic on 23rd. Fearing an internal examination but if it's what needs to be done then I will just do it.

mrsb87 Tue 14-Jan-14 11:27:53

Sorry to hear that dulcet, hopefully you willget some answers soon?

Saznut Tue 14-Jan-14 12:29:48

Lil - hope you hear something sooner than later. I had tests done but chickened out to hear results as felt it was too soon to become scientific
minion - brill news about the water. This month i have been like the Sahara desert so will up the water
juniper - you are quiet today, have you poas ywt? Exciting!
geniz - hi welcome. really nice group here
cozy - good luck with temping I've heard you will learn a lot about your body. a little contraband is allowed right?
cookie- hope things are settling now
dulcet - good luck with everything.

I may get asked to leave for breaching contraband next month. witch is due Fri, and (if) when she comes thwn next month I'm going all out. gonna CBFM to find good days, take soy isoflavones from d2 to 6, wheatgerm (maybe) drink gallons and shag every other day. If that doesn't do it then I shall be having serious words!! lol.
anyone else any suggestions towards going all out?

DulcetMoans Tue 14-Jan-14 13:31:10

Thanks saznut and Mrsb!

Some things others do saznut - evening primrose oil to improve CM before ov I think, pineapple eaten afterwards to aid implantation. Sex every other day is a must if you are going all out!

I am around! No POAS action yet. Waiting to see if AF turns up today. May test tomo. Can't decide if I prefer a BFN or ERTD to let me know confused confused After all this weirdness the disappointment will be hard to take sad

Good luck for next cycle saz, you sound well prepared.

Northernexile Tue 14-Jan-14 13:42:50

Hello, joined on last thread so just checking in here <waves>
Don't know everyone yet but good luck one and all! AF due imminently so fingers crossed. Have no clue about symptoms, but from what I remember of last time round I didn't have any anyway.

hi northern

While we're on shout outs, where's latium? Any news? x

lil1ady Tue 14-Jan-14 14:16:49

saz just whisper the details to us, that way u can stay I hope because I've bought cbfm for next month too re the pineapple I'd just add you eat 1/5th of a pineapple, including core for 5days only, 1-5dpo. after that stop as it can cause mc in large quantities.

cosy don't feel bad about the bbt. it is an eye opener. just don't get obsessed with it. the reason I joined this group was because all I was thinking about was what my temp was doing, what could it mean. its not worth it to stress. just be good enough to get a good pattern from it. when I do it now, like for working out day 21, I stop after my app confirms I've ovd so then I can't stress and imagine triphasic patterns and rubbish like that!

red I bet it's odd taking bcp again! good luck!

hi to everyone else

CosyTeaBags Tue 14-Jan-14 14:45:33

I'll try not to get obsessed with the bbt... just want to see proof that I'm ovulating, as well as timing that damn blood test right!

Hmmm is good food for fertility contraband? No? Good - because I'm going to try the Pineapple thing this month too. I'm also downing a glass of grapefruit juice every day, it's supposed to help CM I think..?

Re Pineapple - do you have to buy a whole fresh one, or will tinned do? Does it have to include the core, in which case it will have to be fresh.

DP is going to look at me funny when I come home with a pineapple tonight...

lil1ady Tue 14-Jan-14 15:51:20

cosy it has to be fresh. tinned is heat treated which removes the bromelain which is the thing that's supposed to help. also the core has the highest concentration of bromelain. be warned though it will hurt your tongue!

DulcetMoans Tue 14-Jan-14 16:13:24

I get the fresh packs in sainsburys to save the faff of having to cut it up at work but it doesn't have as much core in as you would if you bought one.

Agree with the tongue thing though lil. Sat here nursing mine with a biscuit now...

cookielove Tue 14-Jan-14 16:28:18

Hello all, things do seem to be improving which is a Yay!!

And also i got a BFP at lunch time today!! shock shock shock

cookie that is awesome, congratulations!

smile smile xxx

cookielove Tue 14-Jan-14 16:44:21

I can't believe it, we weren't really even trying this month and then what happened happened and now i am pregnant. I am due on, on Thursday but have been feeling really really tired this week so thought i would take a test yesterday, i got the faintest line a real squinter, all day i was like 'is that a line' was gonna try and wait till Thursday but cracked and tested at lunch time, and there is a line!! I really can't believe it! OMG!!

lil1ady Tue 14-Jan-14 16:51:46

congratulations cookie that's fantastic! have you told oh? glad things are improving for you x

cookielove Tue 14-Jan-14 16:55:15

Yes, i have told him, he was like oh ok, well that's the decision made, (meaning he'll stick with me) and i was like 'Thanks' then he text later saying that it was great news and he was just in shock. I was like yeah me to mate!!

mrsb87 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:06:36

Wow cookie thats so exciting! Congratulations hun!

Latium123 Tue 14-Jan-14 17:50:15

Hey girls, i disappeared for a bit so just checking in.

Wow congrats cookie, you have been on a rollercoaster ride recently. Make sure you take care of yourself. Good luck to all those waiting.

In late I am news... Still no sign of ertd and currently on cd40. But still negative test results so pretty sure am not PG. Just a little worried what is going on so have doc on thu and also dentist in case there could be something mouth wise to explain the metallic taste!! After that mot I should have a better idea of what is going on.

I'm ok with not being PG at this point as not long started trying. I just thought my regular cycle was the one thing I could rely on. Best laid plans huh?

Noodles32 Tue 14-Jan-14 18:52:46

Hi all, I was on the old thread and have been following this one also, no news here. Still just shagging !

Minion Wed 15-Jan-14 05:14:53

cookiethat is awesome news! A very hearty congratulations to you both and am so glad the husband has worked past his freak out.

Morning, thought I'd drop in as I'm busy all day today.
Tested this morning, BFN.
Hilariously hmm I thought it was 7am when it was 4.30am so haven't managed to get back to sleep, and I went to bed at 1am. Bit tired today and I'm on quite full-on training. Wish me luck!

Hope you had a lovely evening cookie.

Good luck at the drs dulcet, guess I'll be making my appointment tomorrow.

mrsb87 Wed 15-Jan-14 08:29:14

Oh juniper im so sorry to hear that, hopefully the docs will have some answers for you x

Saznut Wed 15-Jan-14 08:47:13

yay cookie!!! Although that does show to the annoying people out there "if you stop trying it will happen. .." , but seriously I am really chuffed for you and put me in a good mood this morning.
latium, I really hope things sort itself out soon, same for dulcet.
I am now all stocked up for next month. vitamins, grapefruit, pineapple, the list goes on. Just waiting for af on Friday then shaggathon here I come

Saznut Wed 15-Jan-14 08:48:09

sorry I meant juniper not dulcet, it's hard to remember when you are updating on the phone

CosyTeaBags Wed 15-Jan-14 09:39:27

I too have stocked up on Grapefruit and Pineapple...

Now tell me about the sore tongue thing - is it because it's really hard and difficult to eat? I'm prone to mouth ulcers and get a sore mouth just from eating a baguette!

I'm waiting for ERTD to clear off, then it's cape time. Poor DP thinks he's coming down with a bug though, so fingers crossed he's not out of action.

I'm still struggling with deciding whether to book a long-haul adventurous holiday for later in the year, or not. We were thinking of September, but then I worked out that if I got upduffed this month, I'd be 8 months pg by then... now, I know you can't put your life on hold, but what the hell do other people do with planning ahead vs ttc? DP sensibly suggested we just wait and see, and book it last minute, but I love to plan my trips and I worry about availability.... aaargh. What do other ladies do???

mrsb87 Wed 15-Jan-14 09:57:18

I would do as your dp has suggested and get a last minute deal. You don't want to miss out on an amazing holiday if you book it now and get upduffed!

lil1ady Wed 15-Jan-14 19:28:43

cosy your tongue hurts because of the bromelain. I get a lot of ulcers but it didn't get any from the pineapple.

as for the holiday we've booked 12-14wks ahead the last couple of years since TTC. just booked a trip to Cyprus for April. if I'm pg I can relax by the pool if not I can walk and sight see loads. win win! I'm not an adventure seeker though so...!

hd19 Wed 15-Jan-14 20:35:45

Yay cookie, that's ace news!

hd19 Wed 15-Jan-14 20:38:17

Cosy, I reckon boring as it is you'll have to wait to book, you can't cancel & get your money back if you're pg!

cookielove Wed 15-Jan-14 20:39:21

Ahhh thanks smile

So nervous about it already!

Nessalina Wed 15-Jan-14 20:41:40

Yeah, I think booking long haul for September is just tempting the Law of Sod that bit too much! I've booked a spa break for Easter, and a narrow boat holiday for May smile Both ok if preggers, even better if not!

Bearfacedchic Wed 15-Jan-14 21:49:50

Hurrah Cookie!!!! Congrats! grin

Sorry - been AWOL again. Work just gets in the way of life. Didn't even know you'd started a new fred. Still exhausted. Still applying for new jobs. Still no letter from clinic re: referral. Currently icing and man, it hurts! Waiting for DH to come home so we can shag and I can then sleep. Oh dear . . .

Hope everyone is well. Bye for another while I expect . . .

ZingSweetApple Wed 15-Jan-14 23:38:14

yay, that is great news, congratulations! thanks thanks thanks thanks

toots123 Thu 16-Jan-14 02:24:19

Hi cosy we have already booked our big holiday and I didnt want to try until we were back but dh says we cant not try just because of that.
so if pg I will ve happy and if not then oh well

went a bit mad with opk's last month and looking at dates im not sure when I ov'd.

so we are deff just shagging this month grin

lil1ady Thu 16-Jan-14 08:57:31

grrr currently sat in traffic with dhs sa sample in my bra. bloody typical that it would be mental out there today of all days!

MissHobart Thu 16-Jan-14 09:01:32

I hope you get pulled over! Muhahahaha! grin wink

DulcetMoans Thu 16-Jan-14 09:08:23

cosy - you don't have to go last minute either. I've been working this stuff out as going to America with work in July. Looked at the airlines to see what their restrictions were on flying and was waiting to see what happened with this cycle to book. Since it wasn't my month I will get to booking it and that is 6 months in advance. So maybe wait a couple of months and then book it. You can't put your life on hold or you will do nothing and still might not have a baby.

Welcome back bear! How long have you been waiting for the letter now? It's been a while! Is it getting towards the time to chase it?

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 09:14:33

Congrats cookie x x

Ladies I am confused!
Had sex cd 9 till 12 - meant to last night but too tired- though this time we were gonna shag every day as eod didn't work!
Woke up this morning and bleeding sad not lots but looks like period and can't be! Used pre seed so can't be due to lack of lubrication and wasn't exactly passionate or rough!
Getting very peed off as before ttc never has any odd bleeding.
Worried as has hot loop diathermy last year but was given the all clear ( cervical cancer scare) x
Help ladies I can't be assed with all this shenanigans! X

lil1ady Thu 16-Jan-14 09:37:49

phew. we made it with 4 mins to spare!

thanks misshobartgrin

beetle is it spotting or full on bleeding? I've read that some people get spotting around ovulation, could it be that. I would see how things go over next few weeks. doctors wouldn't do anything for me after 5weeks of bleeding!

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 09:45:55

Thanks lillady x stupid body !

DulcetMoans Thu 16-Jan-14 09:47:24

Yay lil! Glad you made it. Was DH with you? I thought my DH would struggle to look the nurse in the eye when we handed it over but he dealt with it well. Proud almost - haha! I though it was awkward but he didn't...

beetle - could be ov bleeding? Not sure why if you've not had it before but perhaps having lots of sex has made it more obvious than before?

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 10:01:30

Thanks lillady x stupid body ! Somewhere in the middle like the start of a period.

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 10:05:17

I have never had ov bleeding though I never had pain either till ttc! Thanks for your help how the hell are we ever meant to get pg! Sex and bleeding just don't make u feel like there is any point in trying.
So now - do I stay up till half 12 tonight to wait for DH to come home or give it up for this month? I'm away from fri till sun (cd17).
Aargh! Should have got knocked up at 16 !!!

Latium123 Thu 16-Jan-14 11:39:36

Ladies. Hot off the press...bfp! I had the doc this morning and poas before going just so I had bang up to date result and holy shit did it not come up positive. It's a faint line but it's there for sure. I am now terrified, not really believing it but excited too.

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 11:44:59

Woo hoo Latium !
Congratulations xxx

DulcetMoans Thu 16-Jan-14 11:52:33

Wooo latium! What a lovely surprise! Did you go to the docs anyway?! Congratulations!

cookielove Thu 16-Jan-14 12:17:25

Yay Latium that is fab news!! Can we have a pic i do love looking for a line!!

Saznut Thu 16-Jan-14 12:19:02

yeay!! late-i'am! ! that's awesome news. so who will be the third and make it a hat trick?

lil1ady Thu 16-Jan-14 12:22:49

congrats Latium that's excellent news!

dulcet dh drove and was going to come in but we had such little time we didn't want to waste time parking. he dropped me at the door and I ran! felt weird handing over dhs fellas to a girl with a nose ring!hmm

CosyTeaBags Thu 16-Jan-14 13:27:39

Blimey Latium that's fantastic!

So all that time you were late, and testing BFNs.... and you were pg all along. It was the metallic taste in the mouth that made me think you were - just goes to show eh viroids, it aint over till the fat lady sings!

Lovely to have some positivity on the thread!!

CosyTeaBags Thu 16-Jan-14 13:31:58

grin at Lil handing DPs little fellas over!

I felt a bit like that after DPs SA - we had to drive a long way to the clinic (part of the vas reversal package was having SA done at their clinic), then when we drove home we passed the clinic and I felt wrong just leaving a part of DP behind! I waved goodbye and wished them well (and they did us proud smile )

I'm on day 1 of JSing week. Going to try, try, try for EOD at least for as long as we can possibly manage this month. I'm hoping my positive mental attitude now that we know DP isn't infertile might make me more fertile!

Latium123 Thu 16-Jan-14 14:23:04

Thanks ladies. Cautiously excited now. Dh is delighted and full of it re I told you not to worry etc etc. I went to the doctor anyway and showed her the pee stick as well as my one side of a4 symptoms and differential diagnosis!!! Mow I bet that's not annoying for a doctor! You're right cosy it just shows you it ain't over until she shows up. Keep the hope ladies. Best wishes to all going for SA and tests etc. Keep up the shagging x

CosyTeaBags Thu 16-Jan-14 14:48:02

Love that you took a list of symptoms to the GP.

'Look, here's my positive pee stick. and if you don't believe that, look at all the other evidence!!'

Did you get any indication of how far along you are - i.e. did you work out whether you did have a lave ovulation, or whether you ovulated when you thought you did, and have just taken ages to show up a BFP?

(I'm showing my ignorance here, no idea whether they can tell you that from a pee test at all)

Redshoes56 Thu 16-Jan-14 15:14:21

latium that is excellent news!!!

I wonder if you could turn the pineapple and core into a smoothie in a blender and drink it through a straw to cut down on the mouth/tongue pain? Same benefits would still exist I would imagine. Pineapple is definitely acidic and even though I love it, too much can definitely sting!

lil been there, done that re: frantic drive with the love cup between my boobs! Ha! It's a roadtrip we will never forget. Glad you made it in time.

Good to hear from you, bear - pop in when you can! I am keeping my fingers crossed that you get your letter soon.

I am still feeling sick, I can't shake this cold. Throat is sore, sore, sore. I did a bad thing and dipped into leftover antibiotics, but of course I was punished with a horrible stomachache. I might cancel this work from home day and just crawl back into bed. Today is DH's birthday so I want to be a bit more festive than this when he comes home!

latium excellent news, congratulations! I always thought that people saying it took a while to get a BFP while late were making it up so I'll adjust my thinkin on that. Brilliant news!

Sorry you're ill red hope you're better soon.

Noodles32 Thu 16-Jan-14 17:19:03

Congratulations Latium Wonderful News xxx

MissHobart Thu 16-Jan-14 19:23:37

Congrats Latinum !! grin Fx for sticky bean!

Nessalina Thu 16-Jan-14 20:12:20

I'm really glad you've said that beetle - I've been having random spotting this month and last for no good reason!
Last month it was around OV time, so thought it might be ovulation spotting (tho never had it before!, but this month I finished AF on day 6, then shagged day 7 & 8, started spotting again day 8-11! Just like you said, it's sort of like a period starting, dark CM rather than blood... It's getting up my nose! Decided to get the cape on tonite regardless! smile

Nessalina Thu 16-Jan-14 20:14:02

Grrr, my congrats to Latium has vanished! I said:

Well thank goodness for that Latium! That was the best possible reason for a late AF!! grin Congratulations!!!
We're on a roll viroids!! gringringringrin

CosyTeaBags Thu 16-Jan-14 20:33:24

It's getting up my nose! god I hope not, that's the last place you want it Nessa!!!

Latium123 Thu 16-Jan-14 20:40:13

Ha ha my thoughts too cosy. you don't really want that up your nose. To all of you having strange symptoms I would say try not to worry. That's rich coming from me I know. Me that was in the doctor with the full side of a4. I always tend to think the worst but this has shown me not to worry so much. Thanks all.

I will be keeping everything crossed for furthe BFPs from you all x

Nessalina Thu 16-Jan-14 20:47:16

Haha!! shock

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 22:32:57

It does look like a nose bleed to be fair!!!!!
I am peed of as never have mid cycle bleeding and have heavy ish but reg periods. Since ttc I had a scary big bleed 3 days after a period and I honestly thought he had damaged my foof from ttc !! And then spotting a few months ago and now this. We aren't consistent but as soon as we try I go and bleed.
I have given up Poas ing as expensive and cheap ones didn't really show me anything though cheap ones darkened in col but not enough. Poas today and the whole thing went pink wtf!
Nessa you have inspired me my cape was def in the wardrobe but have decided to wait up and risk falling asleep at work tomorrow!
I still think I may need to order a cute one from the internet at this rate ; ) x will have to go to docs but that's like admitting you have a problem : (

beetlehope Thu 16-Jan-14 22:34:48

Oh and (rant nearly over ) I didn't realise u had to take temp at same time ! Plus my temp when googled said mild hypothermia !!!!!!!! It rose a few degrees today but as not at same time app doesn't count!!!

Nessalina Thu 16-Jan-14 23:28:00

Cape mission successful grin DH seems v.enthused this month - we're going for 10! wink

lil1ady Fri 17-Jan-14 00:09:07

haha nessa good luck!

beetle yes has to be same time after at least 3hours undisturbed sleep and before you get out of bed. I have been known to put the thermometer on top of the snooze button so I remember. if your temp rose a couple of degrees I'd say you had a wrong temp. mine would be about 36.27-36.4ish c before ov the 36.68-36.8ish c after ov. do you have a proper bbt thermometer?

I may poas tomorrow morning, not decided. but AF due between tomorrow and more likely Sunday so why not. if anyone's up/up before me tomorrow, cast your pee or not to pee? I have no symptoms btw!grin

POAS! Why not, join me in the addiction!

mrsb87 Fri 17-Jan-14 07:40:31

Peeeeeeeoas I want to see a bfp lil!!

lil1ady Fri 17-Jan-14 08:14:54

sorry ladies bfn sad guess that's another month. not sure how long I can keep doing this. its too hard.

cookielove Fri 17-Jan-14 08:26:40

Lil what tests are you using?

You admitted yourself you are testing early, so your not out yet! Also when I tested on Monday and I was due on Thursday, I thought initially it was a bfn. So I think your still in.

have you thought about step to try next month

cookielove Fri 17-Jan-14 08:27:19

Sorry that should say smep smile

mrsb87 Fri 17-Jan-14 08:34:19

If you are testing early wait a day or two, still a chance smile

lil1ady Fri 17-Jan-14 08:46:42

14dpo so that that early really and using internet cheapies so 10miu sensitivity. cookie we've been doing smep since about August so 5 cycles--

guess I just have to see what the bloods say and the sa and go from there. I'm considering finding out about going private for an hsg if everything comes back fine.
sorry to bring everyone down. just feel really low today. was at my friends last night and they were talking about how "everyone " is pregnant. I just wanted to run screaming!

beetlehope Fri 17-Jan-14 10:13:17

I'm with you lillady. Everyone else makes it look so easy. I'm now bleeding a bit more and just in case it was ov bleeding we did the dance last night - how the hell is this meant to be easy - and people say chill out don't worry !! Aargh I feel your frustration!
Have decided will go to doc next week with DH at least they will make him do something too!
Chin up though as one blessing of ertd is at least u can still have a sneaky drink !
Happy weekend all shaggers!

Saznut Fri 17-Jan-14 10:48:13

day 28 too, like you lil I have been tempted, but have already convinced myself she will be here this afternoon. eating like a horse! I am also surrounded by such clever people who are duffed. one smoking at least 10 fags a day, another so she doesn't have to go back to work and one who git duffed 3m after first birth, didn't realise until found out from gp she's now 5m preg! how the 'f' does that happen, its all getting bloody unfair and I want to stop being so chuffing happy for everyone else !!
woops sorry for the rant
(bowing my head in shame)
sorry to hear about the mid month bleeding, that's really unfair!
I am definitely on the '10' mission once af buggers off.

ps. I am in a good mood today, honest! did enjoy my rant, didn't realise how good it makes you feel. I think everyone should have one today. go on, get it off yoir chest.

CosyTeaBags Fri 17-Jan-14 11:05:57

Glad I'm not the only one who just feels pissed off with the whole thing.

I always told myself I'd never be one of those women who gets obsessed about ttc.. Hah.. hahhah!

I feel like a user, only using my DP for one thing and one thing only. He's knackered from work, and last night he was feeling ill, coming down with something. I still woke him up to dtd. He didn't mind in the end, but I did feel a bit mean. I told him that he did agree to trying every day this cycle, so he just had to get on with it!

I'm with those of you who are confused by spotting / unusual bleeding. I always had regular cycles, then a few months ago I suddenly got spotting at around 10dpo and was convinced that it was a bfp. It wasn't, of course, and I was bitterly disappointed. I got that spotting for another few cycles, and then haven't had it since. Weird.

I'm waiting for my contraband bbt to arrive so I can figure out what the hell is going on with he. I got EWCM yesterday at CD8. Surely too early for ov, but I do tend to get a shorter cycle averaging 27 days, so always assumed I ovs around day 12-13. Hmmmm.

OK RANT time. I get you on the pregnant women everywhere Saz - for me, literally ALL of my friends have at least 2 children under the age of 4. They're all at the same stage, and it's lovely... but it's bloody hard. The other week in the pub, I was sitting with a bunch of other friends and one girl who has 4 DCs (and is a size 8, how the hell?) said "Oh I just love having babies, you know what it's like, it's just lovely, I love babies!.." Everyone else sitting there has children, apart from one other friend who has struggled to ttc for 10 years, and is currently going through the process of adoption. I didn't dare look her in the eye, but we had an email rant about it later. She said that people like that have no idea that they're sticking the knife into us and twisting it. People are just oblivious.

The OTHER thing that is driving me nuts is the inability to plan / look ahead for the year. I'm a big planner, and I've moaned about wanting to book a holiday already on this thread. But it's just so friggin frustrating - I might be pregnant by then, I might not. My contract will come to an end at the end of this year - I'll be looking for work again. But will I be pg / on mat leave by then? Aaaargh, I hate not knowing!

MissHobart Fri 17-Jan-14 11:30:41

Cosy - I'm the same, everything is planned, it's that aspect of ttc that's been driving me nuts for the last 12 months, the not knowing, not being able to plan anything. We have a holiday born for June and when I got the bfp last month I had to start thinking about whether I could fly, I would have been in 7th month then and easyjet don't let you fly in third trimester, so we would have lost £400, as it is the mc solved that issue hmm I do have stuff planned now though as I've had life on hold for the last year, didn't do festivals last year just in case etc etc, which is really annoying as I've missed out on Glastonbury for two years.

Ttc affects everything, even just going for drinks with work. I'm going to visit my friend in London in February and nearly didn't book it in case I'm ovulating that weekend! hmm

Have decided to give living a chance for a few months! grin

CosyTeaBags Fri 17-Jan-14 11:47:54

It's shit isn't it *MissHobart

As for not booking something in case you're ovulating though - I have to go away a lot with work, and inevitably I've missed a few crucial ov times because of this. I see these as a holiday from the dreaded TWOT. Because at least you know you can't have conceived that month, so you give your brain a bit of a breather from obsessing about it.

And you can just spend that time planning how to make sure the next month is a good one.

cookielove Fri 17-Jan-14 12:49:21

Oh okay lil I have my fx for a nap for you smile

hd19 Fri 17-Jan-14 13:27:15

Cosy, missH I'm there too, everyone at work seems to be happily getting upduffed as are so many of my friends! It's rubbish
But hey it's Friday - I'm still aiming for 10,defo some jsing tonight - it's the only way it's gonna happen!!
Get your capes on viroids, it's gonna happen for all of us! grin

CosyTeaBags Fri 17-Jan-14 13:36:05

I'm on CD8 and have managed 2... I'll try for 10 as well.

God DP would DIE if he knew what information I shared with you all on here!!!!

lil1ady Fri 17-Jan-14 14:01:48

haha cosy. when I was posting on way back from sa dh saw I was on mumsnet app and was like "your not posting about it are you" I was like um.. nooo! Lol. he just doesn't get that u girls are my TTC sisters! I love having you lot to vent with. its nice to not feel alone in this lifestyle that is ttc!

trying to be more positive. after having a little cry to myself earlier thinking about the unfairness of sil and her one testicled hero been flicking through my app and this is only really cycle 10 since dh realised sex has to happen for a baby to happen! so I'm going to try and chill, wait for af the test results and just try try again. and only after the results will I continue googling hsg privately in my area!

I like the idea of giving having a life a chance too whoever said that. let's all try that!

Saznut Fri 17-Jan-14 14:03:35

yes, its definitely time for us all to go for the 10 shag challenge! !

Big hugs all round! I am a bit ranted out but have a *solidarity fist bump* on the unfairness of it all. Time seems to go so slowly when you're waiting for ERTD. Lots of miscarriage talk in the office today, not tempted to share. Can't wait for the weekend.

Saznut Fri 17-Jan-14 15:18:11

big hug juniper (I have graciously accepted yours) soon be home time hun.
inconsiderate colleagues.

CosyTeaBags Fri 17-Jan-14 15:20:12

Big grin here at 'SIL and her one testicled hero'

As for telling DP.. hahah, no dear, of course I'm not telling a bunch of strangers over the internet that we just travelled with your sperm in a cup in between my breasts.. who would do that?!

And that might be my first ever 'Solidarity fist bump' Juniper - so right back atcha ttc sista wink

<said tongue in cheek, I'm the least cool speaking person ever!>

Also lol at the one testicled hero.

The Guardian have 50 pictures of Michelle Obama for her birthday so looking at them has stirred me up. I am also bare sick, innit. wink

Saznut Fri 17-Jan-14 15:39:16

here she is ertd cow! thanks for giving me false hope this morning and stupidly getting hopes up.
right. little drinkie tonight then my mission begins... youll be hearing me rattle with all the supplements lol.

can I ask why transport swimmers between boobs??

CosyTeaBags Fri 17-Jan-14 16:03:14

can I ask why transport swimmers between boobs??

To keep them happy, of course. It has been scientifically proven that swimmers perform better when kept in view of a pair of boobs. Something to do with the pheromones helping them stay active....

Or it could be something to do with keeping them at room temperature ...

EssiesInvisibleLlama Fri 17-Jan-14 16:45:04

Viroids, I'm sorry for my radio silence. Fell off the log and actually still only just clinging to a flimsy stick now. Cervix-gate continues, I won't bore you all with the grim details, but suffice it to say, I am not up the duff, and they are still using words like 'mutilated' and 'stenosed' when they talk about it. After the last appointment when the consultant too closely resembled dreamboat charlie, and was even wearing a cravat, and was rude and wouldn't answer my questions, or do the procedure they'd written to me to tell me they were doing, I have been and wailed at my GP who is now trying to refer me somewhere else for some more specialist attention.

Anyway, sorry I did bore you with it in the end! pokey out tongue emoticon

How are we all? Any BFPs? I have been awol since December, so Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

Hi to all the noobees. <waves> Any of my old friends still here? Hoping not if it means you've all got bfps while I've been drinking too much gin sorting my head out.

Love xxx

lil1ady Fri 17-Jan-14 18:55:13

cosy I think you mean body temperature grin it has to stay at body temperature and get to the lab within an hour of ... um....collection! lots of ppl on here had said they stuffed it in their bra, I'm not one to argue, so I just followed their instructions! (thanks girlswink )

Essie I have been wondering where you'd gone! think we've got 3bfps since new year - wagga cookie and Latium if I'm not mistaken. sorry to hear cervix gate (good namegrin ) is still going on. I hope you get some answers soon. how's life otherwise?

glad I made you all smile with the hero comment!grin

fifi669 Fri 17-Jan-14 19:03:48

Just having a nose..... Esp rooting for bear and red

DulcetMoans Fri 17-Jan-14 21:13:14

essie! Good to see you but shit the cervix stuff isn't sorted.

Phew for weekend! Feel the week went quite quick for me though which is a bonus.

cookielove Fri 17-Jan-14 22:45:06

Hello essie sorry to hear your not having a fab time with it, fx you get seen by the right people promptly.

beetlehope Fri 17-Jan-14 23:15:13

Arrrrgh still bleeding , feel like an old lady as notice it when Iaugh like stress in continence !! A friend just said - you don't think u could have miscarried do u? And I don't think so but so wish I'd dry up !

Nessalina Fri 17-Jan-14 23:24:01

Hey Essie! Good to see you despite cervixy-sadness sad Hope you get a specialist who isn't a muppet very soon!!
beetle- mine stopped last night and hasn't reared it's head again today despite last night's cape action, so hoping it's stopped for good! Maybe it was early OV? Not sure, but at least we got some swimmers in the game if so! smile

beetlehope Fri 17-Jan-14 23:42:59

Glad yours stopped ness I'm keeping my fingers crossed mine does though maybe crossing legs more effective!

lil1ady Sat 18-Jan-14 00:19:43

Lol cookie I figured it out wink

beetle it is odd. was ertd light than the usual? what does Dr goofle have to say on the matter? haven't seem his bow tie out in a while.

glad your back in the game nessa

sorry saznut its shit shut shit when she shows her ugly face. have wine wine wine and more wine and a cheeky biscuit to comfort yourself. I'm sure I'll be joining you over the weekend!

yay for the weekend!

DulcetMoans Sat 18-Jan-14 09:21:35

In bed eating biscuits, feeling sorry for myself. Just had a quick chat with DH about what approach to take this month but feel a bit disheartened. Is it worth paying out for the stupid sticks? I'm not sure it really helps if you are EOD anyway.

I used to try and think of each new month as an opportunity but now it's just a chore!

beetlehope Sat 18-Jan-14 11:19:37

Was a bit lighter and slightly shorter by a day maybe. Did hf forget to come out ?!! ; )

1974rach Sat 18-Jan-14 12:50:11

ello lovelies. OH doing my nut in. Thank god he's gone out I may well have poked him in the eye with a sharp stick.

AIBU to think that as he is a grown up (allegedly) he can decide to lose weight if he wants to. I am not in charge of that as well surely?!?

He is sulking because his eyes were bigger than his belly last night but he just kept troughing through his dinner until he popped!

lil1ady Sat 18-Jan-14 19:47:32

Hey girls, bit premature for us TTCers but worth getting a freebie, and good for any of the grads lurking - free pregnacare vitamin samples here

FurryScoob Sat 18-Jan-14 23:38:32

Aaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh what's the point in TTC with a man that can't bear to miss any football on the TV! I give up its down to him to make the effort from now on sad
Sorry rant over

Hope everyone's having a more successful weekend of shagging or making the most of wine if ERTD about.

Congratulations on the BFP latium

lil1ady Sun 19-Jan-14 00:14:21

ah furry that sucks. go punch him!

lil1ady Sun 19-Jan-14 11:54:40

And...I'm...Out! Stupid witch. Not even the hot water bottle is touching the cramps. And to make things worse I've woken up with a horrid cold. I feel really defeated. I really don't know why we are bothering to try any more. I'm convinced there is something wrong with me and to have to wait until October to get referred is just heart breaking sad

oh lil, I'm so sorry. It's shit, isn't it? Can you send OH out for some decent painkillers & treats at least?

beetlehope Sun 19-Jan-14 13:49:55

To furry - my husband always prioritises the things he thinks is important yet makes me feel ttc is not one of those things. Then I say fine let's not have a baby and he says he wants one- why are we all trying for kids when we all have a male big baby already?!
Lillady it sucks all this effort and messing about and worry all just sucks!

Bleeding day number 6 but def less than before. This is def weird as never enough to constitute a period.
Ladies I can't see how this can be ov bleeding as too long and heavy but other option is mc but as had last period and have had no symptoms this can't be the case can it?
Changing docs on mon to one nearer us and hopefully less pikey ! (Sorry but it's true)

Minion Sun 19-Jan-14 15:51:18

Hi viroids.
I've been Mia the last week on my course and haven't seen daylight (not even joking), let alone the internet.
I've scanned the Fred and am sending my love to lil and all who are having a bit of a to do with their husbands... Grrrr, why are they such arses sometimes?
Congratulations to late-I-am-no-longer what a wait!

I've past the important week without so much as a sniff of a rumble in the jumble and it's kind of a nice feeling knowing there's no way I'm gp and no am I, aren't I symptom spotting.
We have the docs tomorrow so that's that eh.

FurryScoob Sun 19-Jan-14 16:48:38

Good luck with the GP minion
lil hope the cramps have got easier, it's bad enough when ERTD arrives without all the pain aswell

I've had a chat with DP about the lack of DTD at the vital time of the month. I think ovulation just confuses him & he don't understand how an egg only lasts a day not all week.
He's now cooking a roast & missing the football & I feel a bit guilty for being a mardy cow last nite!

DulcetMoans Sun 19-Jan-14 18:30:55

Sorry you're out lil, hope you've taken the time to feel glum and look after yourself today.

We have the exact same argument here furry, always MOTD and football that gets in the way. It finishes so late!

Course been good at least minion? Is docs tomorrow fertility related? I lose track sometimes!

CosyTeaBags Sun 19-Jan-14 19:52:20

Sorry you're out Lil hope the cramps are feeling better - I usually spend the first 2 days of ERTD with my hot water bottle rammed down the front of my trousers across my belly. FWIW I take Mefenamic Acid for the period pains and it works wonders.

Hi to everyone else too, don't let reluctant DHs get you down, just tell them they have a job to do grin

I have to admit, I'm obsessing a bit this month - as it's the first month since the SA showed us DP was actually fully functioning, so I've kind of stupidly got my hopes up. Setting myself up for a fall I know. Need to hold myself back a bit.

Minion Sun 19-Jan-14 20:30:26

Yeah thanks, was good but very tiring. Think up at 7, bed at 12 every day. Am exhausted. Has to have a 2 hour nap today and shattered again now. I imagine this is what it feels to be gp. at least I can console myself with that eh haah.
Docs is fertility related, it's our first once so assume he's just going to ask us questions. Am hoping the husband doesn't clam up and refuse to talk...
Time will tell.

MissHobart Sun 19-Jan-14 20:40:06

Minion - I've booked my OH a GP visit in Wednesday to start the ball rolling on his tests, also hoping he doesn't just mumble at her! hmm

Bearfacedchic Sun 19-Jan-14 21:13:59

Hey viroids. How's everyone doing?

Sorry to have been AWOL for so long but work just gets on the way. Have lots to catch up on. Congrats on the BFPs to those who got them. smile

As for me viroids, I'm so so sad. A close friend announced her pregnancy today. She knows our problems and did it really tactfully but I can't help but feel bitter and angry about my own situation. She's a few years younger than me and told me she was trying for 5 months. I'm so hacked off at it never being me. Rage, rage and more rage. Anyway, I came on here to ask if anyone has any advice for me. I feel like I'm going mad now. Oh yes and forgot to say our referral has been held up by 3 months due to an admin error. Angry doesn't even cut it. So, basically I'm feeling like I'm never going to hold my own baby in my arms and I feel like I'm losing my way. I don't know what to do about careers or anything because I'm in a constant limbo and have been for 3 years. How on earth do I manage to cope? Plus, I don't want to lose my friend but I do tend to keep a distance once they have children because I find it so painful. Any advice viroids? Thanks. From Weepy bear

Wharm14 Sun 19-Jan-14 21:40:53

Name: Wharm14
Age: 36
DC's: Does my DH count?
TTC: Only just started this month after getting married last month!
Cape: Fur lined, warm and cream!

I was looking for a fun thread to join to share in the experience of tic and just found this which made me laugh out loud so thought this was the one for me! Currently waiting for AF to arrive (or not) on 31st Jan and trying not to do DH head in, so hope this thread will keep me grounded!

1974rach Sun 19-Jan-14 21:54:41

oh bear It's so hard. Sorry you are feeling sad.

Welcome wham hope you get your bfp soon grin

Nessalina Sun 19-Jan-14 22:21:29

Hey bear, I'm sorry it's all getting you down sad

I haven't been doing this as long as you, but despair strikes all of us occasionally, and we all go through times when we feel like this is never going to happen. And it's even harder when it seems to come so easy for people around us in RL.

But don't let it drag you down - it WILL happen for you. Now they've figured out the admin cock-up, you're gonna get a referral, and you're going to have a team of experts to get you upduffed, and it'll all start to move forward. Look how quick it all went for Red once the ball started rolling!

You have to keep believing that this is your year, because it really really could be! xxxx

ZingSweetApple Sun 19-Jan-14 23:13:02

hugs and more hugs.
I don't know what to say, I'm so sorry you are upset and angrysad

lil1ady Sun 19-Jan-14 23:42:16

thanks viroids. dh did go out and get me lemsip, and stuffed homemade toblerine cheesecake this evening mmmm.

good luck at the drs minion
beetle if it were a miscarriage surely you could do a hot now and there would be hcg in your system to show it? just a thought to rule it in or out.

furry glad to hear you got dh on-side (ha ha) for now at least!

well new cycle new tactics. this will be cycle 13, maybe it will be my lucky number!grin

Latium123 Mon 20-Jan-14 07:13:35

Hi bear, so sorry to hear you are feeling like this. My advice would be to try and keep your friends. I know it's really hard when it seems like others are moving on and doing what you would love to but you're not. We all do things at different stages and your time will surely come too. And we need our friends round us. Good friends will understand your feelings and want to keep you round in whatever way works for you. It sounds like your friend is sensitive to your feelings which is a good start. I wish you all the best x

hi bear, I hope you had a restful evening and night, I thought about what you said a lot last night.

Oops, didn't finish my post. I have PM'd you bear.

Looks like I'm out for this month, more BFNs and bleeding starting. GRRR.
So, next month is GP and giving fertility acupuncture a go.

Also, is it just me or is this "sperm lives for days" thing a crock of shit? We did it SO MUCH I can't believe it didn't catch anything! Maybe it was a rubbish egg. Hey ho, wine o clock tonight. What a perfect start to the week! hmm

lil1ady Mon 20-Jan-14 08:56:34

bear I missed your post last light, my phone can't have updated properly. sorry you are feeling so down at the minute. all I can say is if I were in your shoes I wouldn't stand for a 3month hold up from someone else's error. id be at the gps demanding assistance getting it sorted, I'd be in the fertility clinic making loud informal and formal complaints. can you afford to have hsg done privately? that would be one less thing to be done when the referral does go through. I assume you've had day 21 bloods and said done? if not demand that from the go. mine ordered it on the computer and we did mine on the next day "21" and booked dhs after I ovd. I had his first appointment booked for 3days after the phone call. one thing I do know is you have to fight the down days because if they spiral into depression your chances will be hinder further. its not a nice place to be when all your friends seem to be getting there first. but you are not alone. I know we haven't been here as long as you, but a few of us have been here for a while riding this wave with you, and you know we are always here to catch you when you fall. I know its not in the spirit of the Fred, but how much contraband have you done? is it worth stepping that up so you feel like you are taking some control and doing something proactive? thanks thanks

lil1ady Mon 20-Jan-14 08:57:12

*sa not said!

lil1ady Mon 20-Jan-14 09:04:50

oh I forgot, on the friend front, don't let it ruin your relationships. as much as it hurts I'm sure you are happy for your friend, and pleased she didn't have to suffer the pain you have. one day you will have your baby in your arms. you will want your friends there to share the magic with. if you alienate them all now they won't be there then. if she knows your trouble explain to her you are happy for her but ask her to keep pg talk to a minimum where possible.

and don't put your life in hold. I lost my job, havent worked for 3 months and have no plans to find one, despite the fact we put off TTC so that I was in a stable job for 2 years before I would have been telling them I was pg. if you change jobs and then get pg, you won't care about the job! you'll still get the sane pay on maternity allowance as you would SMP (and ma is tax free where SMP is taxed!) so don't let money be the worry. not living your life will only make you more crazy.

OK I think I'm done. wink thanks

CosyTeaBags Mon 20-Jan-14 10:09:08

Hi everyone,

Bear - hope you're feeling a bit better, I'm sorry it's getting you down. If it helps, you can rant all you like on here and we'll never judge you for being pissed off that your friend is pg.

Wharm welcome to the thread - it's not always so melancholy, we promise! I've learned lots on here, and it's a great place to vent. Who else would listen to regular reports on how my cervical mucus is doing!?

it's doing good by the way, I put it down to grapefruit juice

beetlehope Mon 20-Jan-14 11:30:34

Bear your day will come I'm sure xxx
It's really hard - we all have someone who just knocks em out in five mins and it's hard to take.
I have a sister who does everything first and fast and is younger !

Lillady a few people have said perhaps it could be mc but I did test at xmas before period and got a negative - period was a tiny bit short but normal.
Another thing - tmi warning - my cervix feels odd- I have been ttc all month and now it feels soft and squishy - sorry I did warn you! It never feels like this normally !
Plus had cervical m which is def odd.
I even google imaged bleeding between periods - was hoping for medical stuff but was shocked some women have uploaded pics of panty liners- !
Ps. I am not in the habit of poking around but read that you should check so did a few time but it always seemed the same though higher lower and forgot when so gave up!

Registered wth new doc practise today so will get an app ASAP as I just want to know what is faulty and if we can't I'm getting a dog ! And then adopting later ! I just can't see us coping with ivf and I have never been of the mind set that a child is a god given right or certainty. My DH would like to adopt although tech after having one first. I just worry that my clock that hasn't uttered a tick yet will wait till I'm 40 and boom at me for not persevering and turn me into a cray women!
I'm tech on the twot but after having a foof nose bleed for 6 days I think I can call myself out!

Happy Monday to all shaggers xx

beetlehope Mon 20-Jan-14 11:31:07

Ps welcome wharm x

beetlehope Mon 20-Jan-14 11:31:34

Ps welcome wharm x

Wharm14 Mon 20-Jan-14 11:35:52

1974rach/CosyTeaBags - Thanks for the welcome, I'm sure I'll learn loads, I've already been googling all the abbreviations for stuff and learnt a lot already! My DH gets a bit freaked out when I start telling him what my CM is up to, so glad I'll get to share on here maybe instead…!

Bear - I can sympathise, although we've only just started trying, I've been broody for years but job/lack of bloke etc didn't make it possible. I was engaged for 18 months and desperately wanted to start trying but cause I started a new job last year, had to wait or else I wouldn't qualify for Maternity Pay. The wedding and length of time in the job coincided last Oct so we decided to wait until after the wedding before we started trying. Then my SIL just announced that she was 7 weeks pregnant right after we got married (they waited to tell us till we got back off honeymoon) so I'm now torn between been over the moon for them and really jealous that they beat us to it! I hope you can sort the mix up out soon, I agree with some of the other posters about going back to your GP to try and sort it out. Good luck with it

Wharm14 Mon 20-Jan-14 11:37:55

Thanks beetlehope!

EssiesInvisibleLlama Mon 20-Jan-14 13:32:18

Thanks everyone. Cervix gate continues today with my frigging useless GP writing me a thoroughly inappropriate referral letter, wittering on about wanting to get sorted so I can proceed with fertility treatment! Errr, no, I want to get sorted so I can have a good go at actually conceiving naturally first you complete tool. My insurance doesn’t cover fertility treatment so if they see this letter they’ll try and wiggle out of paying for the cervical surgery. Luckily I have managed to intercept the letter before it got that far and am now waiting for her to call me back so I can ask her nicely <tell her crossly> to write me another one.

Oh bear, bearhugs, it’s so hard. I hope you are ok. The despair is just so painful and so lonely sometimes, and when admin errors and various other insensitive idiots are just adding to it, it’s leaves you feeling hopeless. I have felt exactly the same these last few weeks. Sad and bitter and useless. I know you are further along this road than I am, but keep going, you can do this, and you will do this. You are not alone. I know I can’t do anything real to help, but rant anytime you want, I’m here anytime you need a virtual paw hold. Xx

Sorry to everyone who’s being tortured by the evil witch. Has anyone tried the new feminax? I’ve just bought a packet as since my cervix closed (obviously not entirely!), ERTD has been absolute agony (a symptom apparently), so I thought I’d try something stronger than nurofen. It’s got naproxen in it – I’ve never taken that before?

Welcome Wham!

EssiesInvisibleLlama Mon 20-Jan-14 13:34:11

Sorry I meant Wharm blush

DulcetMoans Mon 20-Jan-14 14:02:47

How's it gone at the docs today minion?

Oh bear, so sorry to read that you are so down but it's completely understandable/ It's hard to really offer advice in this situation because it is so personal and really none of us have perfected how to get through TTC unscarred by emotions. But I guess the only think I try to remember (and that is try because it doesn't always work) is that other peoples fertility doesn't affect yours. It doesn't stop it feeling completely unfair but just know that 100 of your friends could get pregnant or none of them could and that won't have any impact on whether you can or can't get pregnant. To be honest though, that probably won't make you feel better but hopefully can help you continue to have a relationship with your friend/s when they get pregnant and have babies. Oh, and I would completely be complaining about an admin error adding 3 months. That is not your problem, it's theirs so they need to sort it!

I have said all of the above by stepping away from my own emotions by the way, feeling pretty crappy about it all myself this week so completely understand!

Welcome wharm, sounds like you've experienced some of the highs and lows already but hopefully you can get your BFP soon!

Essie - they aren't making it easy for you, are they? Nightmare!!

Minion Mon 20-Jan-14 15:19:36

It's not till 5:30 tonight so fingers crossed.
Husband just came home for a little afternoon delight. Shame he can't manage it when I'm OV'ing huh.

1974rach Mon 20-Jan-14 16:27:00

Good grief....pant snot ahoy here! Where the bloody hell does it come from !?! (Do not say fanjo...grin)

Am going for the NORWICH approach tonight. Cape is well and truly on tonight grin

CosyTeaBags Mon 20-Jan-14 16:33:41

What the hell is the Norwich approach?!

Did you do anything different to encourage the pant snottage rach? I'm guzzling water and grapefruit juice to try and help.

mrsb87 Mon 20-Jan-14 17:23:51

Norwich approach?! What the bejesus is that? Haha

1974rach Mon 20-Jan-14 18:22:04

I haven't done anything to encourage pant snot it is just copious! NORWICH Appoach is.... (wait for it....)

Waiting when

haha... used to be written on letters from soldiers to their girls apparently - How very rude! Our Grandma's probably all knew about NORWICH

Minion Mon 20-Jan-14 19:37:10

So we've been. He was so nice, basically told me to come in for bloods 3 months running to check for OV and arranging for him to jizz in a cup, oh so very romantic.
Been told off for stopping taking folic acid too, as I got complacent and bored with it, so I'm back popping them too.
3 months?
3 months..
Tho he did say the first thing in his head as to why it hadn't happened just yet was 'ah, she's cabin crew... Bingo'

Redshoes56 Mon 20-Jan-14 20:51:19

bear a big bear hug for you. You've been such a great support system and inspiration to me because of your determination and positivity. That said, be angry. Be very angry. Be sad. I would feel the same exact way (and do oftentimes; had a dark day yesterday, actually). It seems like life just keeps throwing hurdles in our way. One step forward, two steps back. But maybe, just maybe, it is two steps forward and only one step back, and we are indeed moving forward even if it doesn't always feel like it.

As for advice, I agree with lil re: making a big fuss about the error and trying to get in sooner. It is your life, your health and your decision - it's OK to raise your voice and fight. Do what you need to do in your personal life and career, too. Nothing can't be re-sorted later, when your family situation does change.

And let me tell you this: All the bullshit paperwork, red tape, waiting around, wondering what the hell is wrong with you and dealing with people who just don't f'ing understand, is truly the worst. And you've really had it bad. But the worst is almost over. Once you are actually undergoing treatments, it will feel easy in comparison (I promise). You will feel hopeful again. Medicine is amazing and I am confident we will both have success.

CosyTeaBags Mon 20-Jan-14 20:51:44

I too had surprising pant snot today.. I think it's icing time. DP has been very obliging with the JSing so far this cycle.

Last night, we both agreed that ttc really takes the romance out of it, as knowing you have to do it just kind of kills the urge somehow. But we just laughed and got on with it anyway. Then agreed it's not such a bad thing to have to do each night...

Good luck viroids, get thy cape action on!

Redshoes56 Mon 20-Jan-14 21:09:08

Sorry to everyone who's out for the month.

minion - 3 months seems like a long time, but it'll go quickly; I am glad you have had some movement in the right direction!

essie good grief, why can't these doctors seem to get anything right?

NORWICH made me smile smile

beetlehope Mon 20-Jan-14 22:14:24

Bearfacedchic Mon 20-Jan-14 22:55:05

Sorry I haven't replied after posting my big long rant, but please know I really do appreciate all your messages and I read them all. They made me cry, which isn't unsurprising the mood I'm in but they were so touching. I know I'm only one of many and I do apologise for not posting for ages and then hijacking the thread but I really didn't know who else to talk to who would understand. So thank you so much. It has lifted me. I've never felt so down about it. I feel s bit like I did when my dad died, which is odd, but I guess its like grief or depression. However, I'm trying not to think about it and I'll work it through in my head.

I told my boss today in a friend capacity because I thought someone needed to know at work before I ran out of a room crying or something and that has made me feel lots better. She was really good about it which made me feel happier and like I have someone who can protect me from certain conversations.

I know I won't abandon my friend, but it was all just about raw yesterday. Also, I know I'm lucky in so many ways and I just need to be patient. As for the hospitals, Lil, we've done everything we need to for a referral. We're beyond 21 day bloods (they do HIV and other stuff before they'll sccept you for Ivf) and they've agreed to refer us. The mix up was between two hospitals- one not transferring the results and the other not chasing. Useless twits. Anyway, looks like it might be underway but we have no idea about waiting times. If no one contacts us this week I may not be responsible for my actions!

I'm going to just try to take each day as it comes and not cry at work and hide myself away a bits I I don't have to deal with anyone.

As I said, thanks so much for your messages. They mean a lot and I will get myself out of this rather enormous pity pool. I feel for all of you as well and wish I could change things for all of you, I really do. You're the nicest people. thanks

Juniper- thanks so much for the PM. I'll reply properly tomorrow when I'm on a PC. Also I'm a bit I'll with a cold so need to sleep. thanks

Bearfacedchic Mon 20-Jan-14 22:55:46

Loving the acronyms! Really cheered me up! grin

Bearfacedchic Mon 20-Jan-14 22:58:29

Bloody hell. So many typos and lack of punctuation. Sorry - hope you get the gist.

Nessalina Mon 20-Jan-14 23:59:46

Glad to hear they're pulling their fingers out Bear! Make sure you're all over 'em like a rash!! grin
Love the acronyms! I aim for Norwich but am mostly Surrey!! wink
That said I think we have had some well timed shagging in the Ness house tonight - EWCM, v.horny, and a positive OPK, so fingers crossed! And with a steaming cold too - v.impressed DH came near me! grin

lil1ady Tue 21-Jan-14 09:46:30

bear glad to know you are at least some way down the line. maybe its fate and you'll get upduffed anyway during the delay grin (doesn't hurt to hope)

I have a stonking cold. on the plus side I've got it during AF week, which is also s down side, but the real downside is fh will probably get it just as we need to start jsing! grrr. it would be just my luck if I ov early this month!

minion glad the drs went well. odd they are doing 3months of bloods. do you think that's because of your job and it maybe being difficult to get bang on day "21" for you? at least they are being thorough. I assume your phct doesn't have the 2year referral window then?

mrsb87 Tue 21-Jan-14 09:56:00
lil1ady Tue 21-Jan-14 13:17:05

is that your test mrsb? I can see something but no obvious colour to it.

1974rach Tue 21-Jan-14 13:34:48

checking on my phone so not mega clear, can see something smile

congrats may be in order mrs!

EssiesInvisibleLlama Tue 21-Jan-14 16:38:53

Nooo I can't see it either! So I'll have to take your word for it! Congrats Mrsb!

Loving the Norwich approach. Might ask my Gran if she knows what that is! She's quite cool, she'll laugh. I have to say I've not been spending much time in Norwich recently. Cervix-gate has kind of killed the romance a bit. Knowing I'm all but sealed up kind of makes it seem a bit pointless. Need to try and pull myself together and start enjoying a bit of frivolity again!

Bear, it pays to keep harassing. I lost my rag yesterday about the crap referral letter and whilst I was on the warpath I rang the hospital and gave them a hard time and I now have a proper referral letter in my hand, and a hotline to the clinical lead at the colp dept - yay! She is going to review my notes herself and call me back to discuss my options. I also now have an appointment with a private consultant next week for another opinion too. I am turning into one of those over informed patients from hell, but if they'd looked after me properly in the first place then I wouldn't be having to be a pain in the arse now would I!

Happy shagging shaggers.

Congrats MrsB

Good work on the harassing front essie, sorry for all the trouble.

Wondering where thelentil is?

CD 1 proper here, ugh. Holding off the sadness by taking action so enquired about starting acupuncture and will book smear (double ugh) and GP next week. Might spend some money and try to meet Zita irl too wink will let you know!

Happy Norwich cape action for those in the game. Off to add Molten Brown goodies to the pity jacuzzi. Fragrant!

lil1ady Tue 21-Jan-14 17:49:39

that must feel a bit more positive Essie

juniper intrigued about your acupuncture. I want to try it but I'm struggling to find a medical accupunturist rather than a wack job one. let alone one that does fertility acupuncture!

Nessalina Tue 21-Jan-14 18:34:17

Oooh mrsB! If that's yours then congrats are definitely in order - that's a line if ever I saw one! Clear Blue Digital time? grin

hey lil, this one I've found might be a bit woo woo but I am a bit sometimes too. I saw someone when I was in follow up for the molar pregnancy and it was really nice. It was more like spiky counselling than anything. It'll be nice to have something for myself & someone to talk to about it etc. Maybe your GP can refer you to a medical one? I know lots of GP surgeries offer it & GPs have trained up in it.

In some good news, my DH had a urology appointment today for unrelated issues but the consultant has ordered a full SA for him after he told him about us trying. Shame the hospital is completely on the other side of town! So, making plans to get things investigated is making me feel a bit less shit. I am eating all the chocolate right now though (Zita would not approve, but fuck her today, frankly).

mrsb87 Tue 21-Jan-14 18:49:17

Nessa I have another test for tomorrow and will do a digi at the weekend I think smile. Its taken me a bit by surprise tbh!

cookielove Tue 21-Jan-14 20:25:02

Congratulations mrsb

Redshoes56 Tue 21-Jan-14 20:36:15

I see it, mrsb! Congratulations!

lil1ady Tue 21-Jan-14 22:08:24

girls I have a question. has anyone ever had a randomly lighter than usual AF? tmi alert...since I came off the pill I have had heavier periods which settled down from what they were to be heavy on day1 medium day 2-3 light day 4 then spotting day 5 maybe 6. this month barely medium day 1 then really light yesterday and today, being day 3. the bfn 2 days before AF rules out pg but Dr goofle is not helping me with a reason, just lots of forums rather than science. any suggestions appreciated grin

CosyTeaBags Tue 21-Jan-14 22:15:14

I see it MrsB! Congratulations!!!!!

Lil not sure, but all I can say is that your body plays tricks.. just when you think you've got the measure of it, it does something out of the ordinary to confuse you. Hope it's just a glitch in your otherwise normal cycles.

Redshoes56 Tue 21-Jan-14 23:56:44

I have had that happen, lil. Our bodies just like to keep us on our toes. I had the same experience - much heavier periods after coming off the pill. But every once in awhile, I have a light one for no apparent reason.

Girls, I have been on and off the phone all day trying to get my Rx sorted for my injections with my insurance company's specialty pharmacy. I know that I have no reason whatsoever to complain since so many women have no insurance whatsoever and would give anything to be in my position, but GOD they make it almost impossible to fill your prescriptions. I almost feel like they make it hard on purpose so you'll just give up and save them money. My Rx have been with insurance company for ELEVEN days, and there is still no movement. It was so much easier when I was able to deal with the local pharmacy. Grr! OK, end of rant.

It is snowing like MAD here in New Jersey. My 20 mile ride home from work took an hour and a half today. says my town has 11.2 inches already and it's going to snow all night. Why don't I move to Florida? Or Italy?

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 00:26:20

thanks red its good to know its "normal", would probably not have even given it a second thought before TTC! you and cosy are right, its just my body playing mean tricks on me!

red I am so jealous of your snow! if you fancy a house swap I'll trade you for cold wet miserable south west England!grin

Vatta Wed 22-Jan-14 00:59:13

Morning all, may I join the thread please?

We've been trying for 1 year, with 2 miscarriages during that time. I'm 37, and we don't have any children yet.

I was doing the charting, bbt, etc but honestly it just became too stressful, so thought we'd try just shaggging! Going for EOD at the moment. Fingers crossed for all of us.

Nessalina Wed 22-Jan-14 01:27:42

Hello & welcome Vatta smile

I am so ill. Urgh. So glad we got our capes on yesterday coz there is no way he's coming near me when I feel this crappy! hmm

Minion Wed 22-Jan-14 09:06:06

Ooh I see a line too mrsb, faint! but definitely there! Congratulations! smile

Yeah lil the 3 month thing for me was a bit odd, but I reckon he may want to do an average as some quick searching on stoopid dr goofle suggests we may not OV every month.
So I have to go in on day cd 1 or 2, then cd21 for bloods.
Not so bad, wish I could be one of those wimmin who gets upduffed 'cause all of the stress was gone' pffft.
Poor husband on the other hand has to deposit into a beaker, and leg it to the andrology dept within the hour! They even said he can't 'perform' in the loos in the hospital, has to be at home.
I helpfully suggested the big toilet cubicle at mcdonalds over the road.
He could have a quick shufty and I could have a quick Big Mac...
Surprisingly enough he wasn't to enamoured with that idea.

mrsb87 Wed 22-Jan-14 09:14:12

Haha minion, loving "a quick shufty". Also loving a quick big mac....that sounds good actuallly! I did another test this morning, much clearer this time

MissHobart Wed 22-Jan-14 09:38:15

Definitely a line today! Congratulations! grin

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 09:50:02

Congrats mrsb ... you confused me at first cos its a different test brand! that is definitely a line!grin

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 09:50:33

oh and in non TTC news I just found out I passed my exam grin grin grin

FurryScoob Wed 22-Jan-14 10:11:30

Congratulations mrsb

Well done lil what was the exam for?

minion glad you've got things rolling & it sounds like you've got a good doctor too

Does anyone else get the mood swings around the time of ov? I've been really weepy all weekend & it seems to be the same every month, DP just thinks I'm a TTC loon but I feel the same as I do for a couple of days before AF arrives.

CuriosityCola Wed 22-Jan-14 10:13:23

Just seen this on most active. I was on the second or third just shagging thread and now have two dc. Good luck everyone. shock It ended up in the papers, not sure how I missed that!

MissHobart Wed 22-Jan-14 10:25:19

Furry - I've been the same the last few days, weepy etc, pms symptoms but not due for another week (this is my WTF cycle though so who knows?!), not noticed if I've had these with prior OV hmm

Saznut Wed 22-Jan-14 13:08:46

hi all, and hello to new people.
lil I have had a very light af before. I am no medic expert but thought maybe that month I hadn't ov'd.
all systems go this month. Im glugging down water and grapefruit juice, taking evening primrose, taking pre preg tables, and soya isflavones last day today. on day 6. dh is even on the pre preg tables for his swimmers (don't know how I convinced that) got pineapple ready for next week! now just need to firmly fix my cape and get to the lucky number 10!!!

does anyone still use the water thread? do you have the link?

c'mon shaggers, we can do it!!

ps well done mrs xx

Minion Wed 22-Jan-14 16:20:05

Oh girls.
Being home alone I've got time to think. And depress myself. It's cold, it's drizzly and grey and it's a sombre old day.
Humph. It's mainly because I've just been sat half upright and half leaning, having a 4 boob moment and thinking to myself, I should be having a four boob moment cause I'm upduffed, NOT cause it just bloody happens every month.
Please indulge me and save me a place in the pity bouncy castle.
Pitiful I know, sorry.

Redshoes56 Wed 22-Jan-14 18:57:38

Ack! Cheer up, minion. You and your boobs need a piece of chocolate, maybe? Sending you some sunshine. Although truth be told, I don't have much. My fingers are frozen from digging my car out of a foot of snow! Your McDonald's idea is genius. Have the BigMac. Just save some fries for when he's done with his bit.

curiosity thanks for checking in on us! It's always nice to hear more JSing success stories smile

Finally got the insurance company to approve my meds and commit to a delivery date of Saturday. Good thing I don't need them on Friday, which is the date they actually had in their system as the deadline! Idiots. Now I'm dealing with another pharmacy for the two injections the insurance company couldn't fill. The phone calls never end.

beetlehope Wed 22-Jan-14 19:07:49

I'm with the miserable peeps today !
Had argument with DH about nothing , work is exhausting , I am fat (ter) but can't be asses with diet as meant to be pg , am looking old and can confess on here I want Botox but won't in case get pg, and they closed Victoria tube station ! Agghhhh! Would scream but have sore throat.
Off home to wallow ! X

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 19:08:57

Water for saznut and the contraband says I ovd so I don't think its that saz

juniper it was a tax exam. 2more to go then I'm a tax expert grin. Don't think I've noticed being moody around ov but shall be keeping an eye out for it now!

minion Your dh must think he's the luckiest man alive what with the 4boobs :P keep your chin up, your making progress now that the tests are ordered.

red have you sorted the insurance co out?

Mrsb has it sunk in yet?

Hi to the newbies <waves>

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 19:10:03

Sorry I took so long to post I cross posted!

Minion Wed 22-Jan-14 19:14:13

Tbh he does love my boobs!
Helpful? To him maybe haha. I'm over it, was just a blip.
Waiting for him to come home with a kebab...he's stuck in traffic and I'm hank Marvin.
red cause of that conference last week I've a cupboard bursting at the seams of chocolate. The suppliers from mars were mega generous!

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 19:22:46

Sorry I took so long to post I cross posted!

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 19:22:46

Sorry I took so long to post I cross posted!

lil1ady Wed 22-Jan-14 19:33:08

omg what is my phone doing?!

Redshoes56 Wed 22-Jan-14 19:33:54

Hooray for an excess of candy! I'll split my share with beetle. Everyone should just stay in tonight and relax. We've been all manner of stressed lately!

Redshoes56 Wed 22-Jan-14 19:34:15

lil is multiplying before our eyes!

mrsb87 Wed 22-Jan-14 19:52:25

Hey lil no not yet! I am going to do a did after af should have been due just to make sure everything is ok. I dont think it will feel real til I go to the docs and tell someone.

DulcetMoans Wed 22-Jan-14 20:48:31

You are being very patient mrsb, I'd be multiple tests down by now!!

We are a grumpy bunch. I should have gone to the gym after work but ended up in the office until nearly 7. As is always the way if you take a day off - you have to work two days in one instead!

CosyTeaBags Wed 22-Jan-14 20:56:37

I still use the water thread.. it's really inspired me!

Red I'm really jealous of your snow!! We have shitty winters here just cold and rainy, I'd love a good cold snap!

Minion and beetle positive mental attitudes Viroids.. hope it's not getting you down too much. It's a big pile of shit getting stressed out every month, hoping, feeling let down, picking yourself up..and repeat.

I had an argument with DP last night - he's been really good, we've managed to JS every night since ERTD buggered off, UNTIL last night when it really mattered, as it's my most likely icing day. DP was awake when I followed him up to bed, but by the time I had brushed my teeth and squeezed my spots he'd bloody well turned off the light and gone to sleep...

Cue Ov rage - yes, I do get moody at this time of the month, definitely - I woke him up and told him off. I said he can't possibly know the pressure that I feel each month when it doesn't work. He said "What pressure" ...angry . He eventually conceded and agreed to JS me.

OOOh the romance ladies! Once upon a time, Dp would feel privileged to be in bed with me haha and now I have to order him to do the job or else! He's looking forward to next week when he'll get a break from having to shag me! Who knew ttc would KILL the romance dead eh!

Rant over. Can I bounce in the pity bouncy castle now?

Redshoes56 Wed 22-Jan-14 21:03:03

The pity bounce castle is going to explode with all of us in there. grin TTC can totally kill the romance. I am almost grateful for the fertility treatments because now sex is for fun again. There's less of it, much to his dismay (I'm tired after work, dammit), but it is not fraught with stress.

mrsb87 Wed 22-Jan-14 21:23:20

Ah cosy that really made me chuckle! Bless them, I had a similar issue with dh, he was finding a job at work really stressful so wasn't that interested in dtd. I rolled over and gave up....and suddenly he was up for it! Funny that.
This time a month ago I was stressed out with work (christmas in fashion retail is a right b***h) and he was the one pestering me and I told him to bugger off, lol.

beetlehope Wed 22-Jan-14 21:26:15

I get the ov rage minion! My DH falls asleep all the time. Ps who has snow ? And where ? Had lovely long walk from green park to Victoria thanks to no trains but at least cheered me up seeing crazy oriental girl dressed entirely in Union Jack prints with blue sequin shoes staring up at the palace longingly ! Bless her!

Bearfacedchic Wed 22-Jan-14 21:40:46

Hurrah for the BFP MrsB!

Hi to the newbies!

Just wanted to say hi. I'm ill too, but hot to keep going til tomorrow at least. Feeling a bit more positive than a few days ago as well. Can't shag though as I'm ill. I wouldn't shag me. . .

Grrrr for the company monkeys Red. Hope it all gets going for you soon. Yay? for the snow though. I guess it could be yay or nay depending on how you feel about it and what you need to do.

Bearfacedchic Wed 22-Jan-14 22:10:01

Okay I just counted and we did it 5 times in my icing week! Count 'em! 5! Feeling very pleased with myself!

Redshoes56 Wed 22-Jan-14 23:12:18

beetle I've got all the snow, here in the States. It's beautiful but a real pain to clean up. And I'm feeling stir-crazy stuck in the house. Actually looking forward to going back to the office tomorrow.

bear glad you are feeling cheery and getting busy! Woo hoo for 5 times! I am cheering on those swimmers. Go, go, go.

lil1ady Thu 23-Jan-14 00:26:26

go bear! good effort! fx it pays off!

beetlehope Thu 23-Jan-14 06:18:32

Go bear!

Ah I see red shoes , I stupidly didn't think it would be outside the uk. I like snow , if we get even a tiny amount everything stops and we get to stay home from work !

Minion Thu 23-Jan-14 08:35:42

Yes reds our sister from across the pond, in NJ yo!
(Sorry) I love the north eastern US accents, I spent a whole flight doing it once to cancun, typically we had someone from boston on... And then I had to lie through my teeth about my upbringing...

When I used to work at a well know communications and cable tv company I'd take inbound calls from areas in wales, Scotland and parts of England and I'd immediately slip into welsh or Scottish too...
I'm a disgrace!

Yes I'm still drinking my water, last week I was a bit JC and turned water into wine but hey, it's all fluids right? So I got home and got back on it.
Naughty minion.
Must try harder.

2nd driving lesson today and it's lashing it down. So that's nice.....

beetlehope Thu 23-Jan-14 09:50:09

I was wondering what we all did for a living? The reason I wondered was when someone's doctor commented on their being cabin crew (sorry can't remember who and scrolling is slow as have no signal!) does that mean certain jobs and less likely to get pg? I know dentists are most likely to commit suicide but come on!

cookielove Thu 23-Jan-14 09:51:21

Hello hello hello smile

Nothing reallyport from me just lurking! Stuck at home cause I pulled a muscle in my neck yesterday and can't drive (ow) putting my hair in a bun

Bear fx you get your bfp, I have everything crossed in fact!

minion if you live in England you gotta get use to driving in the rain smile and these things are best done with an instructor in the car. Good luck.

red sorry to here that things are slow moving over there sad

Minion Thu 23-Jan-14 10:18:15

beetle yes it's me who flies , hostie with the mostie! tart with a cart! dragon with a wagon whatever it's called nowadays,
And yep it's apparently more difficult as those perfect 24 hours each month when all the stars are aligned, pigs flying at night over a frozen hell and unicorns once again dance gaily around the knights of the round table, I'm stuck in some god awful Caribbean hole and he's at home watching silent witness.
Though I say it's harder, one of my most loveliest of friends has just announced her 2nd, thankfully I'm truly so happy for her, she makes beautiful babies too lucky mare xxx

Minion Thu 23-Jan-14 10:18:53

cookie yessss the suns out. No aqua plaining for the minion!

cookielove Thu 23-Jan-14 10:23:21

Minion - I have a work colleague who has been driving for 20 years and I had to explain to her what aqua planning was. I could not understand how she didn't know!! Glad you don't have to yay! ! It scares the poop out of me each time!

CosyTeaBags Thu 23-Jan-14 10:33:26

Viroids I'm almost all JSed out.... we've managed to DTD every night since Day 7 of my cycle, and I'm on Day 15 now..!! Fair play to DP!

One thing I wanted to report was that drinking lots more water thanks Lil! has really increased my CM - I've had fertile CM for much longer than I usually do, and plenty of it. So get glugging ladies, it really does help.

Minion I loved your story about faking a NE US accent, brilliant. Good luck with the driving, and consider yourself lucky you don't have my old driving instructor whose tried and trusted method was to place his hand on your knee whenever he felt like groping an 18 year old wanted to encourage you to brake.

Hope MrsB is feeling ok, and I wonder if you can regale us with stories of your symptoms so that we know what to obsess look out for ourselves..!

beetlehope Thu 23-Jan-14 10:55:09

Ah I see minion and there was me thinking he meant altitude played havoc with your eggs!!!!
It's not just flying - I work in HO for a retail co in a creative job - and every time I should be jsing they send me to Amsterdam! X
Cosy I never drink enough I think I better start and I know tea doesn't count or I'd be be like a snail !!!

DulcetMoans Thu 23-Jan-14 11:07:10

Beetle - I read somewhere that shift workers struggle to conceive because of irregular hours with partners.

minion - defo better to learn to drive in the rain with an instructor. You'll do plenty of it when you pass!

Five times is pretty amazing bear, you've given it all your best for sure.

Fertility clinic today... Feeling a bit nervous but positive.

good luck dulcet!

minion you are cracking me up today! Might print off the think abt pigs flying over a frozen hell for the fridge.

Am mainly fed up of periods and wanker colleagues. Dr and smear all booked tho, do I get a gold star?

Saznut Thu 23-Jan-14 12:32:15

contraband alert - does anyone use cbfm? day 7, first test stick, came out a high. didn't expect it this early, tho I have been taking loads of stuff this month. will get cape on tonight anyway just in case.

so sorry gor everyone who is feeling down, although reading today looks a bit happier, plis sun is shining today so thats good. poor dh has his first ttc wobble yesterday, his friend whis wife is due in Feb was really rude about how he's got one and one on way when we haven't and it really upset him. I guess it's not just us ladies who care. plus 25 months is a fair old time. This month will be the one lol.

Bearfacedchic Thu 23-Jan-14 13:40:34

Ha ha Minion!

Good luck Dulcet. Take a book. When we want they had the tv on and there was some ridiculous daytime soap on and an episode where a woman had miscarried. Gotta live the tactlessness of some people.

Bearfacedchic Thu 23-Jan-14 13:41:35

*when we went

*gotta love

Typing in a hurry as always!

Bearfacedchic Thu 23-Jan-14 13:42:08

Poor DH Saznut, sad

ZingSweetApple Thu 23-Jan-14 13:44:05

poor MrSaznut sad
can I trhrow some baby glitter on him too?wink

hey saznut, how rude of your DH's "friend".

I use CBFM, there's a users groups somewhere down the list. The first month can be a bit screwy but stick with it, best to JS alongside, imo. You may get all highs for this cycle which is just the machine calibrating to your hormones.

We've decided to half try this month, probably JS when we feel like it. It's stopping us doing too many things. Well, going running which my DH desperately wants me to start again, probably because I'm getting a bit lardy! Charming man. Anyone in the TWOT at the moment? Can't keep track!

Bearfacedchic Thu 23-Jan-14 13:51:59

Yep I'm TWOTting. Tired and ill as well to add to the fun here.

EssiesInvisibleLlama Thu 23-Jan-14 14:19:33

OMG you guys move too fast for me, I can't keep up.

I think I need a hooya. I'm soooooo thirsty. Could that be a sign? <gives self hooya as knows far better and only shagged twice this cycle anyway>

ZingSweetApple Thu 23-Jan-14 15:19:38

hooya to you Essie

although I keep forgetting what it meansconfused

beetlehope Thu 23-Jan-14 15:35:45

I'm on twot !!! Except not as bled randomly for 6 days after period so two weeks of nothing twon I think you'd call it.

CosyTeaBags Thu 23-Jan-14 15:59:06

I'm twotting... have our cycles become synchronized by the power of hormones through our screens?

Just eaten my daily pineapple - but I'm pissed off now as I googled it and it said that while the core contains the good stuff to aid implantation, the rest of it is too acidic and you shouldn't eat it. I've been eating the whole slice.. I bloody give up, Twas nice though!

MissHobart Thu 23-Jan-14 16:03:20

Cosy - that's what I said to pretty much everything! "I give up!!" Currently sticking to folic acid and limited caffeine, nothing else as it was driving me fucking mad!

beetlehope Thu 23-Jan-14 16:39:54

Ha synced via screen !
The ertd due 28th tues and bang in the middle of leadership training - nice one!

DulcetMoans Thu 23-Jan-14 17:16:43

Been and, typically saw someone I knew when in the waiting room so that will be awkward! Doctor was nice but spoke in a really pitying way.

DH is fine, in fact in two areas he's better than average so he's chuffed. Did you know that the average male has 95% abnormal sperm! Crazy. He also got complimented on the amount he produced which was said to be high.

I on the other hand have levels that indicate not ovulating. Have a bunch of further blood tests to do, most of which I did today since I was at the hospital anyway. Got to do another 21day test and have another appointment in may which feels aggggges away!

Not feeling great about it all actually, not sure why. Add me to the pity bouncy castle!

lil1ady Thu 23-Jan-14 17:18:56

Stay positive dulcet. its a step towards answers and the end goal. I may be joining u on the pity bouncy castle soon though as my results die any day

Minion Thu 23-Jan-14 18:14:13

Sending PMA to dulcet!
We're all in the same boat huh. At least my boat buddies are ace!
So when he said you weren't OV'ing did you tell him you had OV signs? Or don't you?

Bearfacedchic Thu 23-Jan-14 18:43:28

Dulcet - that's good news about DH's sperm. It could be for you that just didn't ovulate the month that you did the test maybe? Most women have anovulatory cycles every now and then. It could be that the test was done at the wrong time perhaps? But if there is a problem with you not ovulating, there's lots they can do to help. Lil is right that it's a step closer to an answer. I know May seems like ages away but it will come round quickly enough. It's nearly Feb already.

lil1ady Thu 23-Jan-14 19:41:24

May better come quickly, that's when I'll be on holiday grin , I'll wish the months away with you dulcet

DulcetMoans Thu 23-Jan-14 19:43:48

Thanks ladies. I do know, objectively, that you are completely right. Just tough today. I was so positive before we went in but now I just feel a bit 'why me?' Blah blah.

I do have the signs and have had the sticks which I told him but those don't mean I actually do. Another 21day test is to look at anovulation I guess, and double check. Then testosterone test, look for PCOS, clamydia blood test even though I had the urine test. There's about 5 in total. Phew!

I think it is seeing someone I knew there plus the guys voice. I know he has to be quite solemn but made me feel like a bit of a pathetic case!

DulcetMoans Thu 23-Jan-14 19:46:44

Thanks lil! At least they let me make the appointment then so I have a date - not waiting for a letter.

What test results you waiting for now? I lose track sometimes!

lil1ady Thu 23-Jan-14 19:55:08

my 21 day bloods and dhs sa. she said mine would be in end of this week/beginning of next so may phone tomorrow. dhs results due by next Thursday. I HATE the waiting. I am so nor a patient person! good that you have a date booked. helps focus the mind!

DulcetMoans Thu 23-Jan-14 21:15:34

Yeah, phone tomorrow for sure lil. Our SA results were back really quick so they might surprise you!

Nessalina Thu 23-Jan-14 23:56:43

Hey there viroids!

Lots of chat to catch up!

Sorry you're feeling blah Dulcet, but I'll join the PMA crowd - it's the first step on the ladder to getting sorted ASAP! smile

Minion - you crack me up It was the 'silent witness' bit that got me today, just had a proper giggling fit! grin

I'm impressed with your sexcapades Bear! We managed 5 too this month, though two were waaaay out of the OV zone, so only three really...
I think we definitely got them at the right time though!

I'm also TWOTing, though only just. Pretty sure that I have a fairly short luteal phase - after my last go at TTC I'd noted that my LP was 11 days, but this time round I didn't believe myself and put 14 in my App, but lo and behold, positive OV stick followed by two days of EWCM right around day 16/17, so looks like past-Ness was right after all!

We DTD on days 11, 15 & 17, so feel like we have a decent chance... So I'm due a BFP AF on 2nd Feb.
God, it's so tedious this trying to get pregnant lark confused it's like the slowest lottery EVER.

In other news, I've found some awesome pre-natal vitamins that I love - Seven Seas 'Trying for a baby'. They're v.reasonable price (£5 for 30 ish) and laid out like the pill with named days so you don't miss, and they're also about the same size as the pill, and you don't have to take them with food! So easy to remember and easy to take. Hurrah! Some supplements are like swallowing bullets! confused

cookielove Fri 24-Jan-14 08:08:06

ness I uses the seven seas ones to they are fab!

1974rach Fri 24-Jan-14 11:09:44

hello fellow shaggers!!!

How are we all? Any BFP's to report? I am proper bored today.........

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 12:09:10

nothing to report here. still trying to kick the witch out. less of a tide and more if a leaky tap that won't stop here grrr. and to make things worse the doctors surgery 'can't view that screen until after 2pm' to tell me if my blood test results are back. what utter bollocks!

babynugget Fri 24-Jan-14 12:18:28

Hi newbie here so apologies if I get the acronyms wrong! Been lurking for a while and love the banter. TTC #1 and the old witch AF has just put in an appearance. This was our first month of trying and I hadn't been tracking my period until last month so thought I was late and stupidly got a bit excited (blush). I've been using a multitude of apps to track my period and suggest when I'm fertile but they all tell me something different. Any suggestions? I feel like I may go down the slippery slope of charting and temping and, to my horror, have even googled the whole EWCM thing ewwwwww! I need you viroids to save me from going crazy with this!!

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 13:34:50

hi babynugget you've come to the right place! sorry the witch turned up. grab a wine and get comfy grin

beetlehope Fri 24-Jan-14 14:04:02

Hi baby nugget - don't go charting you will go crazy! It looks like a full time job!

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 14:10:13

help please viroids. if the receptionist read the right numbers my progesterone level at 8dpo was 40. The result according to the note on my file is "satisfactory". what does satisfactory mean and is 40 a good enough level?

dhs results not back yet. bloody NHS!

babynugget Fri 24-Jan-14 14:17:12

Blows my mind! Don't think I have the time or energy to keep up! I do need to track my period better though but the apps just confuse me !

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 14:28:36

babynugget i find fertility friend a really good app...has a notes space and you can keep track of your symptom spotting too.

Currently driving myself crazy googling progesterone levels....

babynugget Fri 24-Jan-14 14:37:30

Thanks lil1ady I've downloadable fertility friend and a hundred other apps seems a bit glitchy with me but maybe not got the hang of it yet! Googling will drive you crazy too!

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 14:41:02

I think the best thing is to stick to one app babynugget. It will take time for them to pick up a pattern in your cycle. And spending your days trying to understand a hundred few different apps will drive you as mad as temping/charting, oh yes and googling! You said this was your first cycle trying, have you recently stopped birth control? That can play havock with your cycles for a few months. gave me a 7 week AF after 3 months being OFF it!!!

babynugget Fri 24-Jan-14 14:55:30

7 weeks! What a nightmare. No I stopped birth control about two years ago as at it turned me into a raving nutter! Since then my DP has just been 'jumping off the bus before his stop' IYKWIM ! wink

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 15:27:41

That's it. I give up. I feel like I just have to accept I will never have a baby. I've been trying to find out about getting a HSG done privately as I can't get referred on NHS until October when we will have been trying for 2 years. 3 phone calls later I am still no further forward. I know DH wants this as much as I do but he is soooo cool and laid back about it. I just want to scream at the injustice of it all. And now I feel like a crazy person because I just went from "ok I'll google all this and deal with it" to "throwing my toys out of the pram" pun intended.

They say having kids drives you mad, I seem to have made it there before a single BFP ffs!

MissHobart Fri 24-Jan-14 15:45:27

LilLady - don't lose heart, it's all so frustrating, I know, I've shuttled right down into the dumps today.

At least you got a "result" , I just got a text saying my results were "consistent with ovulation" so my hopes were shot through the roof! A very definite bfn this morning though, which has set me back, however I'm not even due on till the 27th so it's too early anyway, it's all just so up and down sad

ZingSweetApple Fri 24-Jan-14 15:53:09

a friend of ours took 10 years to conceive - 7 years of trying then tests and 2 rounds of IVF.
Their daughter is utterly wonderful, smart and kind and I love her dearly.

I don't know if this helps or makes you feel worse - I'm only telling you about her because there is ALWAYS hope!

I know you won't actually give up and it must be so hard to deal with the frustration and waiting.
I know you will get motivated again despite all the sad and angry feelings.

And I'm really rooting for you. (All of you!)

"The night is darkest just before dawn"

DulcetMoans Fri 24-Jan-14 19:29:11

Sorry I didn't get here sooner lil but I may have the answer if that helps... Assuming this is the 21day test (?) At the clinic yesterday I was told they look for levels over 30. Mine isn't so indicates not ovulating. But 40 is! And satisfactory doesn't sound like a good word but its medical, everything is 'satisfactory' or 'normal' never 'bloody fantastic!'.

Why do you have to wait two years to get more tests though? Sounds odd...

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 19:53:27

thanks guys. you are all a gal needs sometimes smile . feeling a little better. dh took me out for dinner and has been trying to cheer me up. I know I'm lucky that I don't have to hide all the crazy from him!

dulcet in my area they wont refer you to fertility clinic until you've been trying 2 years. we were lucky to get day21 bloods and sa! I think dr only agreed to it because if my recent stress and depressive episode with all the work stuff! what was your level? I've read so many conflicting things online. some say over 15 indicates ovulation, others say 35 is borderline! and then there's the ppl with levels at 60 and 90! are they repeating your blood tests? I got tested for rubella at the same time and that was "satisfactory" too. such a dumb word!

DulcetMoans Fri 24-Jan-14 20:22:52

I was 26 but he said should be over 30. Could be lower I guess but still, not ideal! Google gives all different answers but I can tell you that's what the doc told me.

So odd how different health authorities work. A friend is going through similar stuff and they won't even check her DH before they do all get checks. Seems unfair to me!

Bearfacedchic Fri 24-Jan-14 20:40:10

Hullo - on the progesterone debate - I was 31 and they said that was fine and showed ovulation. I've read in lots of places that anything over 30 is fine.

Dulcet - you're right - I've heard of that before. It's so annoying when they won't even begin to think there might be something wrong with the male partner and do loads of invasive tests on the female first. Both partners should be tested at the same time. We were luckily. However, when we were having our results back and went to the hospital, DH said that he felt like he was an afterthought and at times felt he might as well not have been there (apart from to support me of course). It was so 1950s.

DulcetMoans Fri 24-Jan-14 20:54:12

To make you feel better... Made me laugh...

Not sure how to link on phone!

ZingSweetApple Fri 24-Jan-14 21:05:07

you need to use convert automatically.

or just put it in double square brackets [[ ..]]

Bearfacedchic Fri 24-Jan-14 21:06:03

You have to put the link inside double square brackets - [[ - Dulcet. Funny though - imagine linking it to FB. 'Your friend Bearface has now joined you on your period'. grin

DulcetMoans Fri 24-Jan-14 21:58:38

Taa daa!

Yeah bear, we could all be sync up in no time. I defo think there should be treats unlocked as we get to ERTD!

lil1ady Fri 24-Jan-14 22:26:30

omg that's hilarious! I think they should make an app that delivers wine when ertd arrives and biscuit when you record a bfn although that could be abused!

dulcet 26 is pretty close. was your test done at the right time, i.e 7days before AF? I read the prog tales off after 7dpo so just thinking if timing slightly off may be nothing to worry about check out the crazy mood swing lady suddenly having PMA! why is it easier to cheer you lot on than mysf? lol

CosyTeaBags Sat 25-Jan-14 00:32:33

Just checking in with you all, glad to see the PMA is keeping up. We'll I'm officially JSed out - we managed 9' count em NINE consecutive days of JSing, until we were well and truly knackered. Last nights effort was a farce, my EWCM had long left the building so let's just say it wasn't a hospitable place, but we persevered regardless. DP is getting a well earned rest tonight.

If this months efforts don't work, I'm declaring myself barren.

What do you ladies do re alcohol during TWOTING? I've had a couple of beers tonight, but my heart wasn't in it. I just think if we've gone to so much effort to try, then it would be a shame to mess it up by indulging in alcohol... I dunno, who knows eh.

Hope you're all keeping positive, happy weekend viroids wine

Bearfacedchic Sat 25-Jan-14 09:02:27

<hands crown over to Cosy and takes own hat off> I take my hat off to ye Queen Cosy, Queen of the Shaggers! Nine times! Wow! <falls off chair in awe>

Bearfacedchic Sat 25-Jan-14 09:04:51

I still tend to drink during the TWOT. However, I'm not a big drinker anyway so I don't have more than a couple of glasses of wine. I think it's fine as long as you arr getting smashed. You don't share your blood supply with baby until a few weeks in anyway.

Bearfacedchic Sat 25-Jan-14 09:05:31

Arr = aren't (cripes!)

DulcetMoans Sat 25-Jan-14 09:08:23

Yeah same as bear really - not a drinker. If there's a special occasion in the TWW then I will but other than that I don't anyway.

lil1ady Sat 25-Jan-14 09:46:04

morning shaggers. cosy 9 consecutive days! omg! (picking jaw up off floor) if you don't get a bfp this month the planets must be misaligned or something!

as for drinking I went tea total when we were first ttc. now if I have an "event" where drink is involved I drink anyway. eg the night I was a lil bit merry and messaged you lot on here. that was a bottle and a half of wine! like bear and dulcet I rarely drink so these sorts of things are one offs, I also read baby doesn't share your blood supply for at least first 5 weeks and I'm pretty healthy so I figure my liver should be able to sort it all out OK on these odd occasions. I guess I decided I couldn't keep putting my life on hold for a baby I wasn't conceiving each month. I was hoping being more laid back about it would help but so far no such luck. hmmm maybe I should drink more and go and sign on for job seekers!grin

CosyTeaBags Sat 25-Jan-14 09:49:53

I wouldn't recommend the nine day marathon (unless it works, I'll let you know in two weeks) it pretty much killed any desire, made us feel like shag robots, and knackered us out! If this months efforts didn't work, I'm going to try EOD next I think.

Re drinking, don't get me wrong I'm not a drinker either, 2 is usually my maximum on a special night out, but was just worried that if pineapple can make a difference, then maybe alcohol can too... In a negative way.

Ah too late mow, just got go get through the TWOT . I've already set myself up for a fall, getting my hopes up that this might be our month. Going back to holiday planning to tempt the law of sod!

lil1ady Sat 25-Jan-14 09:57:12

where did you read about the pineapple flesh cosy everything I've read says to eat the whole thing but not to eat any after 5dpo.

holiday planning definitely a good idea. 14 weeks and counting until mine. we were looking at stuff we can do whole we are there last night. so far we are visiting a rock confused

babytinks89 Sat 25-Jan-14 10:55:02

Hi girls im new!

c3 for me now... miscarried in november 2013, we werent trying though was a total shock/surprise. Since happened first cycle was december AF sadly arrived last sunday.... Finially gave its self up and finished Yesterday, so i following this smep.... My eight day today, so dh better get his ass home from work so dtd lol! I have some ovulation tests never used them before!! So new to all this, i didnt have to try before now i am it's bloody hard and stressful!!

Anyways thats my story smile i have read a lot of the comments but not the full 400 odds i'd be here all day hehe

DulcetMoans Sat 25-Jan-14 14:41:12

Hi tinks! Fx for SMEP! Guess you'll be in the two week wait soon then?

I have a question! What do you consider to be an irregular cycle? I would have thought I was quite regular at 27-29 days but doc has marked me down as irregular for that. I can range 26-32 but generally fall between 27-29 but in my min irregular is a much bigger range than that!

Bearfacedchic Sat 25-Jan-14 16:30:53

My cycle is almost identical to yours Dulcet and I was told at the hospital by two different registrars (as I of course had to give all my details twice- they couldn't have just read my file, could they?) that most women are irregular, so there's irregular and then there's irregular IYSWIM. Very few women are bang on the same each month. It's a bit of a myth that all women are, a bit like the 'all women ovulate on day14 myth' from what I can tell. Anyway, unless it's attached to other significant problems, the doctors didn't seem to think it was a problem. Hope this helps x

lil1ady Sat 25-Jan-14 16:45:15

Hi tinks gl with SMEP

dulcet mine vary massively from 30-37 days as I never ov the same day each month. My doctor thought that was fine. Perhaps them marking irregular is to do with the length of your cycles sometimes being shorter than "average" for want of a better word. I wouldn't let it worry you, if anything it will mean they will do more testing and be more thorough so it should work to your advantage. Are they repeating your progesterone test?

bumpkin85 Sat 25-Jan-14 19:40:27

Good evening. I have been pretty obsessed with this website for the last couple of months. After reading about everyone else's posts I felt a bit guilty about not having at least said hello. I'm 28, and now 4 months free from the Depo job. Me and hubs are ttc, but after reading other Depo posts I think we have a long haul in front of us. Anyways, HELLO, and good luck ladies.

beetlehope Sat 25-Jan-14 22:55:01

Hi bumpkin.
Had to google what depo was!
I've never tried injections as pill made me either crazy - dianette - or throw up - any other brand!

I ve come to think ladies that it will never happen. We Dtd about 5 times across ov (supposing I did) but after my fun little bleed it's safe to say I am out. I used to think one shag and I was preggers- but now I don't even hope ertd won't come as I know it bloody will (excuse the pun)
Maybe it's like fairies u have to believe in it or it won't happen;(

lil1ady Sun 26-Jan-14 00:12:51

hi bumpkin

beetle its shit isn't it. I know what you mean about not hoping ertd won't come. I've felt like that for the last 4 months. I've saved a lot of pee sticks though! we have to try and keep positive though or it will eat away at us. I know its easier said than done, I'm still working on taking my own advice. feeling a bit better today though. how long have you been trying? I'd check roll call but its so far back now!

JuniperJones Sun 26-Jan-14 00:27:34

hi all, new name, hi newbies.

Well, tonight I was out with old schoolfriends - I am the only childless one there so loads of baby chat. One woman is pregnant with a "surprise" after managing contraception for 10 years (oh, the bullshit, how it stinks). She asked me if I was broody. I said it was a long story. She asked if it would make her cry, I said it would. We changed the subject.

This kind of thing would've made me cry not so long ago but now I just feel pissed off. Why do people ask these stupid questions? I don't have kids, no, but doesn't mean I don't want them, doesn't mean I haven't been trying and the YEARS of heartbreak I've been through is something they are damn lucky to never have to experience.

Anyway, got that off my chest. Thanks for listening!

Nessalina Sun 26-Jan-14 01:49:43

Evening all smile hello to the newbies! <waves>
I'm with you Juniper - why to people ask questions about babies? When is it ever appropriate?! What did they get called further down the thread, it was a Bear typo I think... <checks>
Questikins! The cutesy-smalltalk-idiot questions that seem designed to upset/offend! They can all bugger off angry

babytinks89 Sun 26-Jan-14 07:04:52

Well since i fell preg last august, i was constantly over lapping my pill... I think i had 2 periods out of the whole year, not great i know.. So i found it really surprising falling pregnant after missing my pill for 2 days the start of aug, got my af then next min i'm pregnant lol..
So since i've only had 2 cycels, decmbers which after my mc i got my af back 37 days!! Then af just came after that one and was late with 34 days, so i have no idea what the hell my cycle length is but i am totally irregular!! If i base mine as before when i did track it i was averaging between 28-30.... So why i've bought ovulation tests to do this month so i dont miss it with being right out of the range i think i might be in....

So yup 2 weeks wait near for me!!
gringringrin I hope it's a good one

lil1ady Sun 26-Jan-14 09:44:22

ah juniper you shoulda punched her! I suppose the fact you've moved on from upset to pissed of is a good thing though, no? I swear the next person to throw a questikin my way is getting the response "I want nothing more in my life than a child but we are both infertile and also found I only have 3 months to live" total be but the awkwardness they would feel would cheer me up!

tinks have you read the op? opks are contraband! doesn't mean none of us ever do them, but we don't focus on them in this thread

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 10:23:41

Hi Beetle and lil1ady

I chose the jab because my memory span is shocking and I knew I would forget to take the pill. And when it stopped my periods I thought it was amazing. BUT I was never told that my sex drive would pretty much disappear and when I did want to ttc It could take up to 2 years for my body to get back into a regular cycle. I should of done more research, and perhaps not trusted my GP so much.

MissHobart Sun 26-Jan-14 10:30:53

Bump - I was on it for years and years, LOVED having no AF! I knew it could add up to a year to ttc so came off it four years ago, being forward thinking doesn't seem to have helped though hmm

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 10:44:51

Well I should of had my last jab end of September 2013. About a month ago my boobs got really sore, and this week I had my first cramps in 8 years. Bloody hell did they hurt, I had almost forgotten what they felt like. The old hot water bottle was a life saver. I have read posts where ladies conceive within 2 months of coming off Depo, and others years. Have you got your regular cycle back ?

cookielove Sun 26-Jan-14 10:53:52

bump I was on the depo for almost 2 years, I came off it accidentally about a year before I got married. Forgot to go get it and only remembered two weeks later blush turns out it was the best thing for me as we wanted to ttc after the wedding and it took 7 months for
me to get my period and then a couple more months for it to settle into a more natural cycle.

MissHobart Sun 26-Jan-14 10:56:14

I came off it four years ago after being on it for about 6! Had no idea what a normal cycle was for me but it maybe took a few months? I went straight onto a copper coil which made the cramps horrendous! Been off any contraception fit the last year.

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 11:19:58

I really wish I had come off sooner. But early last year I had no maternal instincts, no broodiness, even my 3 year old niece who has the face of an angel wouldn't even make my heart melt. And I guess about autumn time my broodiness kicked in. I have found it a bit weird having spent such a long time actively preventing pregnancy, now I really want it.

mrsb87 Sun 26-Jan-14 11:34:34

Bumkin I was on the depo for 2 years and it was horrid! I put on so much weight as it stopped me from ever being full and completely ruined my sex drive!

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 11:45:55

Hi MrsB. Yes same here. I used to be a svelte size 10, loads of energy and healthy sex drive. Then Depo came along and I'm now a size 14 and only just getting my sex drive back. Never again ! At least we know the cause of it, and won't make the mistake again.

mrsb87 Sun 26-Jan-14 12:17:11

Certainly won't! Is everyone having a nice sunday? I'm debating an afternoon of baking

Bearfacedchic Sun 26-Jan-14 12:29:11

Got a tiny bit of spotting here this morning so guess I'm out too.

Oh Beetle Lil and Juniper- I totally concur. It's all a big bugger. <hair strokes for all of you> <and myself> Not enough hands. will have to become Octobear!

babytinks89 Sun 26-Jan-14 12:43:54

Ok... So cd9 for me today, dtd starts tonight!! So do you girls recommend shagging every night or every other night?
I just dont know when i would be ovulating plus dh is nightshift mon-fri so gonna have to jump on him before i leave for my own work haha!

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 12:46:08

I might do some baking, but I have been lacking on the house work so gotta do that first. Hubby is meant to be refitting bathroom, but the PS4 seems to take priority.

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 14:22:51

Afternoon viroids! Nursing a hangover here - I know I know alcohol is evil but seemed like a good idea at the time. So now trying to deal with the torture that is AF and the hangover from hell. Got a shed load of work to do for tomorrow and the house is like a pig sty. And I couldn't even take advantage of DP's hangover horn this morning. Poor poor me. Anyway have been interested in the Depo talk. I was on it briefly (can't remember when I came off it but now think I should try and find out). It was great at first but I started bleeding every time we dtd. Docs solution was to take the pill as well as the Depo?!?! That's when I came off birth control all together. Did anyone else have the bleeding thing when they were on it?

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 14:42:13

Hi Baby. I think I maybe had 2 more periods after my first jab and that was it. I never bled dtd. Sorry not much help really.

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 14:51:05

Thanks bumpkin I didn't think much of it at the time. Thought it was just a nasty side effect but now wondering if it was an indicator of something else (paranoid much?).

Minion Sun 26-Jan-14 16:44:32

Soooo. I went out

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 16:48:38

I would say it was just the jab messing your body about. I am an awful one for over analysing things, and nine times out of 10 things are never as bad as I was thinking they would be.

Minion Sun 26-Jan-14 16:51:17

So I went out last night. And my wine was completely rank, as was the apple juice yesterday at breakfast. Then I've slept for Britain and my boobs are still mega sore! They normally are a minor inconvenience this close to ertd, but they are more this month.
Send hooya asap viroids!
I know this month i'm not upduffed as when I was icing I was darn sarf! (unless it was early of course).
And usually have a 30 day cycle but I got the ewcm exactly 2 Weeks ago tomorrow and that would make it 27...but both other times I had the ewcm my app had worked it out it arrived the day I had actually iced! So if that was the same, there's always a possibility....
As I said... Hooya me stupid pls

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 16:59:37

Hi Minion. Not a scooby doo what your last post meant ! My ignorance to blame, not you.

Icing - as in icing a cake ?

Sarf - I can't even guess that one

Minion Sun 26-Jan-14 17:03:38

Haha, stick around kid and you'll be babbling nonsense with us!
We have predictive text to blame a lot here. Oving turned to icing, darn sarf as in down south.
Breadsticks are breasticles. Viroids= people.Xx

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 17:10:24

Ohhhhhh I see. Lol sorry. Breadsticks = Breasticles. I've never heard that one before.

I normally call them 'The Boys'

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 17:17:43

Thank god you asked bumpkin the breadsticks one had me stumped!

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 17:33:02

Ha I'm gunna try it on my mates and see what they think.

'Alright love, get your breadsticks out'

Love it !

DulcetMoans Sun 26-Jan-14 17:46:34

Haha. Don't worry newbies, you'll learn. And most of then don't make sense but are interesting auto corrects.

Sounds promising minion, when would ERTD be due? I know it's not quite the hooya you want but I have such little positivity for myself at the mo that I am giving it all to you lot!!

Minion Sun 26-Jan-14 18:41:43

Well if it follows a previous with exactly two Weeks after ewcm, then tomorrow, but more than likely in 4 days...

Bearfacedchic Sun 26-Jan-14 19:09:34

Come on Minion. <gets Pom poms ready> Hooya! <small one>

I need a Hooya myself! Had another meltdown again today and thought I had reached the conclusion that I had given up of it ever happening naturally, especially as I had some spotting this am, but as so as it came, it went again. This does not normally happen to me. Plus I'm getting cramps. Now I KNOW that Ertd is almost certainly on it's way albeit early, but I can't help myself or stop myself from going to Dr Goofle and seeing how many stories I can find of people who thought Ertd was coming only to find out they were upduffed. I KNOW I'm being stupid and setting myself up for a fall, but this is the tiniest glimmer of hope I have left. Plus I used a <shhhhhh> contraband opk to check and it came back with two lines but v v faint. The second one I tried had nothing. I know this isn't v reliable but I am feeding the obsession monster here and am on ridiculous pant check alert. Def Con 3 ladies. Blimey- Hooya me now- somebody!!!!

Bearfacedchic Sun 26-Jan-14 19:11:12

Plus I feel a bit sick but could be all the flapjacks I have just eaten

1974rach Sun 26-Jan-14 19:18:08

Is it wrong that I'm looking forward to stuffing a Krispy Kreme in my gob more than dtd tonight with OH?

Not swi tonight just dtd just because grin

decisions decisions!

MissHobart Sun 26-Jan-14 19:23:06

Hooya to Bear & Minion Though I'm hoping for the exact opposite wink

I'm out viroids! Dtd ended my WTF cycle by waking up the witch! Onwards and upwards! grin

Minion Sun 26-Jan-14 19:24:50

Bear.. I'm not sending you a Hooya! Cause I want to send you luck instead x

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 19:30:37

Sorry the witch got you miss no idea what she's doing with me this month. Only arrived on Friday and appears to have buggered off already. Not that I mind. Just very unlike the old hag to go so easy on me. Second your sentiments though rooting for both of you bear and minion.

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 19:32:03

rach don't make a decision just do both ........ Maybe even at the same time?!?! Or is that just wrong?

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 19:34:07

Is it a ring donut ?

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 19:35:47

Could do a bit of multi tasking

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 19:43:30

Sorry, a have a habit of bringing the conversation to gutter level

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 19:47:03

Ha ha love it bumpkin we must be on the same wavelength!

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 19:53:19

Cheers Baby. I worry that I will offend someone with my rudeness. I don't say it to offend, it's just the sort of level of conversation I am used to.

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 20:10:23

Same here. Hopefully nobody on a thread called ' just shagging' is offended lol but if they r we can always move the gutter talk to a separate thread wink

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 20:15:04

Lol yeah good point. How old are you Baby ?

babynugget Sun 26-Jan-14 20:19:38

I'm 34, ttc #1 but with 3 step kids. What about you?

JuniperJones Sun 26-Jan-14 21:12:28

Evening all,
thanks for the solidarity & thanks for the hair strokes octobear!

It is good I'm more annoyed than emotional, though I guess part of that is having given up just a bit...

Hooyas to those who need them but also fanning those embers of positivity, we've got to keep hoping, just a little bit eh?

Enjoy your donut misshobart!

My body is mocking me mercilessly - CD6 and feeling exhausted and sick all the time. I know this game and it's playing at entirely the wrong time. Guess I am coming down with something but I'd rather just get the vomiting done with rather than this stupid sicky feeling. Grrr. On the bright side, we got the cape on today and did it "properly" rather than doing it for TTC. So that was quite fun, plus it was midday so I did a virtual two fingers up to everyone who was pissing me off last night, probably drudging round the zoo with a dirty nappy to deal with. Afternoon delight here! ;)

bumpkin85 Sun 26-Jan-14 21:19:55

I'm 29, ttc nr 1 and no other sprogs.

lil1ady Sun 26-Jan-14 23:44:51

hi all. I don't think gutter talk will offend this lot!

after reading the queries on mins post I had to laugh cos I read it all like it was normal English words, breadsticks and all!

bear sounds like you have some promising symptoms. I have everything crossed for you. going to send a mini hooya and tell you to try and take your mind off it until AF is due. you know its best to test after you are due so its pointless wondering and torturing yourself now. I'm hoping this is the reason in the master plan that is life for your referral being delayed grin

cd8 here and the witch is finally gone for another month or hopefully 9! but won't be jumping dh just yet. as I ice late we don't start until cd10 earliest otherwise we've both just had enough by the time cd22 which is usual icing day comes around. but you lit enjoy your sheshagenans wink

1974rach Mon 27-Jan-14 08:14:10

Mornin' y'all. did not dtd felt sick after lots of christmas leftover choc and donuts. fyi one of them was a ring donut grin grin GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER! We didn't do what you're thinking ha ha

Minion Mon 27-Jan-14 10:06:15

Now, correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe gutter talk is positively encouraged here!
So crack on!
Well I went to bed last night with the sorest breadsticks known to man. Husband was getting quite miffed at not being able to 'tune the radio' and excited that they were so sore.
However on waking, they've gone down a bit and not as sore..until I was up and about and they are back.
So guess ERTD won't be showing up today, but in 4 days time!

Saznut Mon 27-Jan-14 13:06:35

looks like I won't be joining and copters soon. got embarrassingly drunk on Friday and we had a terrible row, in a pub in front of friends etc. we're just about talking but I think it will be a long time before he loves me again like he did. why does things like this happen? We were so good together then the evil drink ... well I have to take responsibility for my actions I know. I just hate myself right now. I think I have lost the best thing that ever happened to me. I am not here for sympathy but I have no one to talk to and I feel so alone.
I have raging ovulation pains and know this would have been the month had I have not screwed up.
Sorry for bringing shame on the thread.

FurryScoob Mon 27-Jan-14 18:14:28

Oh no saznut hope you can work things out thanks
bear & minion fx for you both
To all the rest of you filthy minded lot thank you! I've had a shit day at work & catching up on this thread has put a grin back on my face.
Hello to all the newbies you seem to be fitting in nicely!

I'm on day 8 of the TWOT waiting for AF symptoms to start kicking in or not
Happy shagging shaggers

MissHobart Mon 27-Jan-14 19:06:03

Saznut - Poor you, I'm sure you'll be able to sort it out. Sometimes getting it all out is the best thing, especially during all the mental ttc! Once everything has settled down maybe looking into going to Relate, my friend and her OH went for a year and it's the best thing they've ever done relationship wise, they also had their baby last week! So there is hope but everyone needs help! Sending you love and hope! smile

bumpkin85 Mon 27-Jan-14 20:31:11

Good evening Ladeeees. I hope everyone's Monday wasn't too much of a arse ache ? I'm relieved that 'gutter' level is the accepted form of communication in this chat room, I really do struggle to string a clean sentence together.

Binglesplodge Mon 27-Jan-14 22:33:10

Eek. My first mumsnet post... Totally not in with the cool kids enough to try any fancy JSing lingo yet but popping in to join those in TWOT: this month we have removed the goalie and are hoping naively that first time's a charm!

Should I do one of these wee profile things?!
Name: Binglesplodge
Age: 32
TTC #1 since: January 2014 (optimistic or what?!)
Cape: duvet held round shoulders. It's bloody cold here.

AF isn't due until about the 7th of Feb so I'm going to try not to drive myself mad symptom spotting between now and then.

Good luck: let's hope the new year has brought lots of good news with it.

beetlehope Mon 27-Jan-14 22:43:36

So tired - work drink thingy - why oh why do women ask you - do u want children ?!!!!!
WTf am Meant to say !
Say yes and they'll look for my replacement . Say no and I'll be the kiddie hater!
Say ttc or can't and then your in another pigeon hole !

lil1ady Mon 27-Jan-14 23:15:42

ahh beetle you're damned if you do and damned if you don't! I usually say "one day" then turn my back and swear under my breath!

so much new blood around here lately...and loving the duvet cape binglesplodge! I may have to copy this when the jsing starts tomorrow!

saz I hope your OK. try and get conversation going. apologise for what you know you did wring and explain the things you felt were valid in a more sober constructive way. I'm sure things will sort themselves out when you've both has time to calm down. and love doesn't just 'go' after one argument. the hard stuff is part of a relationship, without it the good stuff wouldn't seem as good. PS what was "joining and copters" meant to be...did I miss new lingo?!

Nessalina Mon 27-Jan-14 23:35:20

Oh ladies, I'm in such a foul mood!! angry Still one more week of TWOT and I don't feel even remotely pregnant-ish. Not even sore breadsticks and I can usually make that symptom at least appear by prodding them! hmm
And yet another friend has fallen pregnant confused I know that I'm getting bitter now because she really deserves it, and although I'm happy for her, I'm also massively pissed off!! The only thing (bizarrely) making me feel better is that she's a year older than me. So it's more acceptable to my silly TTC obsessed brain!

Minion Tue 28-Jan-14 08:05:27

Welcome binglesplodge
Settle in, pull up a comfy armchair and eat loads of Jaffa cakes with us!

So symptom spotting (even though there is no chance I am this month) is still going strong here. Breadsticks haven't stopped hurting, it's been pretty consistent lately and this may be tmi but whatevs, I've not gone 'dry' and I've been having rather loose you know what's and very bottom birpey..
So I consulted dr goofle and in all his almighty wisdom, he says congratulations you're pg or have ibs.
So that sweet of him.

Part of me (ok, most of me) would like to think one little swimmer hung around after I shut up shop and was the first shopper of the day but if I can't get upduffed by actually doing it on the day previously, then this isn't likely.
Suppose I'll know in 3 days time anyhow.

CosyTeaBags Tue 28-Jan-14 10:16:26

Hello ladies, and welcome binglesplodge (love the name btw). Don't worry about not knowing the lingo yet, we are definitely not the cool gang (sorry, I speak for myself obviously. The rest of you are totally cooler than me obvs!)

I think I'm in the same place as a few of you - into week 2 of the TWOT. I have NO symptoms, and I usually have sore breadsticks by now (is a lack of symptoms a symptom in itself? hmm). DP is going away on Friday for 5 days. I asked him whether he would want me to tell him if I get a BFP while he's away, and he said no (he's on a lad's holiday), but he said I'm definitely not allowed to tell anyone else before him either. Torture! But then he told me off for getting my hopes up, which is sensible of course.

Just throwing another torture implement into the mix Symptom spotting heaven

I love that website, pretty much any symptom you can think of has occurred in at least some pregnant women... "Feeling hungry? YES, 50% of pregnant women reported feeling hungry.... Breathing? YES... 100% of pregnant women breathed during early pregnancy..!"

MissHobart Tue 28-Jan-14 10:35:17

Lol @ Ness - Nevermind prodding them I've managed to make then hurt just by thinking about it! and then prodding them grin

lil1ady Tue 28-Jan-14 15:49:13

minion you do make me laugh! got everything crossed that Dr goofles pg diagnosis is correct and not his IBS diagnosis!

ness hope ur in a better mood. why is everyone else getting pg ATM?! grr

well u lot are so bad with the symptom spotting I'm almost doing it with you....and I'm not twotting! in fact I'm nowhere near icing! lolwink

Nessalina Tue 28-Jan-14 17:23:39

Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better today, just waiting to meet a friend and I have some lovely wine in front of me! grin Hehe.
Have booked a boozy birthday dinner next Saturday with 10 friends coming, hoping that the law of sod will declare me preggers this weekend so I can have the awkward delight of faking drinking!!!! grin

DulcetMoans Tue 28-Jan-14 20:37:45

Football argument this evening, bloody sport getting in the way of my cape donning. Luckily MOTD isn't on until tomorrow so we can get to it.

Dr Goofle is a lazy doctor. Everything is pregnancy related, or cancer.

That is an excellent temptation for Sod's law nessa, good job!

Beginning to wonder if mumsnet is the place for me. It's all about gin and Jaffa cakes and I don't like either!

beetlehope Tue 28-Jan-14 20:44:04

I never liked gin until last two years dulcet I think it's a sign of my old age!! And I only like the middle of a Jaffa cake.

I'm still only spotting but bangers are like painful inflatables
DH has booked us a docs app on thurs so at least we can be pro active.

Cosy I'm hungry I reckon I'm pg! Whoop woop!

Nessalina Tue 28-Jan-14 20:48:40

Beetle! I only like the outside of a Jaffa cake! Let's meet up and scoff a whole pack grin

DulcetMoans Tue 28-Jan-14 21:06:25

Oh that's beautiful - Jaffa cake soul mates! Now I need a quality street tin friend, I only like creams. Anyone going to take my toffees and coconut ones? Yuck!

pips84 Tue 28-Jan-14 21:15:07

hi, newbie here!

Liverpool currently winning - v. happy hubby = cape donning time imminent! That's if horrible bloaty-farty feeling goes away.

I'm going to fess up - I haven't a clue what people are talking about half the time when reading posts about TTC. Genuinely no idea what's going on. Hopefully I'll learn as I go along! Who knew this baby-making business was so complicated!

babynugget Tue 28-Jan-14 21:26:16

Hi pips I've no idea either really but welcome. I'm a newbie too but they r a nice ( and slightly filthy minded) bunch! Just Enjoy the JSing and don't even ask about the EWCM!! shock.

beetlehope Tue 28-Jan-14 21:41:21

Yay ness ! Pop to London I'll get a box!

Dulcet I'll take a toffee but not coconut eeeeugggh! I prefer red sweets if that's the next one and will leave yellow or green till last.

This is more fun than the norm ewcm!

Hey newbies welcome to willy wonkas ( strangely apt ; ) ) !!!

lil1ady Tue 28-Jan-14 21:51:48

I'll have the coconut ones, but not the hard toffees.... but my favourites are the green triangles grin . and I love Jaffa cakes, not had one for ages. you lot are bad for my diet.

should be shagging but can't be arsed

CosyTeaBags Tue 28-Jan-14 22:13:30

Dulcet gin makes me heave, you're not alone.

Dammit Lil you got the coconut ones before me.. I'll take the Coffee ones if I may, they're my faves! But, I must confess, I don't really like chocolate much... don't kick me out!

Welcome pips, you'll learn lots on these boards and be an expert before you know it (or hopefully you'll get your BFP before you need to be an expert!)

My breadsticks have got sore, bang on the usual time, which suggests its' just a normal non preggo cycle for me... <losing hope>

Latium123 Wed 29-Jan-14 08:35:44

Hi ladies, how is everyone? Just checking in and hoping there will be some more BFPs from the shaggers soon. I had a peek at the pregnancy threads but I am too terrified of them!! In shagging news, DH is complaining that it is not happening often enough since the BFP. OMG they are never happy are they? He was complaining about feeling like a piece of meat before it.

I have fingers crossed and wishing with all my might for some more BFPs for you girls x

CosyTeaBags Wed 29-Jan-14 11:56:45

Awww hello Latium how are you feeling?

How far along are you now? Any symptoms?

We haven't had any more BFPs since yours, but there are a few viroids on here that are displaying some interesting symptoms, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them! (not me, I have zero symptoms!)

Go and take the plunge in to the pregnancy threads, you deserve it!

Saznut Wed 29-Jan-14 12:45:13

Hello to the newbies. sorry im not usually such a drama queen. We had a massive talk and really cleared the air. one factor of the row was about ttc. We both on the verge of feeling failures and when I added alcohol to it it all came out wrong. good thing is now we both know exactly where we stand and actually brought us both to the idea of maybe getting tested so we at least know one way or another.
unbelievable pains going on so no idea if I'm ov or what, but think the Cape will be hanging on the door a bit longer this month so I think I'll be out this month.
sorry to everyone for my outburst and promise it won't happen again and I'll be jolly lol.
loving Cadbury creme eggs. can't get enough.
never heard of nipples being breadsticks however I have the world's smallest nips so id be more like twiglets.
off out to bingo tonight and the pics tomo to see thst devils due. bit like a date I suppose.
latium it's nice to see you pop up and would love to know how things are going.
good luck with the shagging girls, lets get those numbers up.

ps. have properly given up drink. yay for soda and lime. ..

DulcetMoans Wed 29-Jan-14 17:15:55

Sorry beetle, you can't have any red ones. All the red and orange creams are mine. In fact, all red sweets in general are mine. You can have all the purple ones.

I am a bad just shagger ladies. Haven't spoken to DH since last night when he didn't 'seal the deal' IYKWIM... I know I shouldn't blame him really as he was holding out for me when I would rather have had the goods. lol. Classy!

(started writing this about 6 hrs ago so probably loads of messages will appear once i've posted!)

Latium123 Wed 29-Jan-14 18:42:42

Oo, interesting symptoms sounds promising - good luck to those. And I'm sure you'll get your turn soon Cosy.

I am 8 weeks now (midwife says it is not that unusual to get your BFP at 6 weeks like me so have hope all those when the ERTD is missing in action). Symptoms-a-rama here - feeling v v nauseous and very large sore boobies which DH would be delighted about were he allowed to touch them / go anywhere near them.

Wishing the best of luck shaggers. Might venture back over to the pregnancy threads and just avoid the ones that make me worry. It turns out you just transfer the worry about TTC to worry about the pregnancy / the symptoms etc etc!!

Binglesplodge Wed 29-Jan-14 20:42:49

I'm another trying not to get the fear from the Pregnancy threads: the way I'm looking at it, people having a nice easy time of it probably don't bother to make a post about it so you're more likely to hear stories from people who are feeling horrific. At least that's how I'm choosing to make myself feel better...

Same with some of the parenting threads, actually: sometimes I read posts about all the difficulties people are having and I have to remind myself that if you are having a lovely normal day you probably don't go out of your way to boast about it!

1974rach Wed 29-Jan-14 20:53:52

I reckon we should all meet up one day with our dc's....our "sign" to each other should be capes and a box of jaffa cakes grin

Minion Wed 29-Jan-14 22:19:17

She showed up a day early.
Wot a wench! Onwards viroids, onwards

Nessalina Wed 29-Jan-14 23:11:15

Oh bugger Minion sorry to hear that!! confused
Great idea Rach - we can all give each other friendly punches on the arm too! grin
I am at the point of the month when I am convinced that I am pregnant, and it's only a matter of time before a BFP hmm Everything is a symptom, and I want to pee on anything that moves!! Viroids, I need you to talk me down - no POAS until Sunday morning!!!

lil1ady Wed 29-Jan-14 23:42:08

ugh minion she's a total bitch. I was feeling really positive for you this month sad
nessa fx you're the next bfp then, but mini hooya in the meantime but feel free to poas just in case grin grin

beetlehope Thu 30-Jan-14 00:18:19

Stupid stupid witch!
Witch must be stuck - def bleeding but nothing like normal (tmi warning) and brown not red. Ran yesterday to grab something and my boobs are so painful so def witches influence so wish she d bloody appear !
So bloated and fat feeling and have docs at half ten and then a bloody appraisal for which I have nought as laptop kept crashing tonight - fun day ;)

Bugger minion that's rubbish x

Rach we should def all meet up esp with confectionary and sneaky booze!

babynugget Thu 30-Jan-14 01:16:02

Evening ladies. Sorry for those of u currently cursed with the evil witch. She has just left me and I do not wish to entertain her for another 9 months or so!!!! Still not got my head round the icing thing and when to dtd so just going with the flow. Feeling like donning the cape tonight, just coz I want to, however we r both still working so not looking likely tonight hmm. Still u never know. Damn this working from home!!! Hope you are all keeping your chins up and shagging til the cows come home!!!

Redshoes56 Thu 30-Jan-14 05:15:00

Hi lovelies, just popping in! Lots of talk of cake and donuts, yum grin. I was feeling completely cranky, mean, unreasonable and miserable last week so I steered clear of pretty much everyone (in real life, too, so don't take it personally, ha). DH and I had a "rebalancing" weekend where we did absolutely nothing and that helped a ton.

Started injections again this week. Feeling great actually, no side effects; it is just a pain to coordinate as I have morning and evening shots this time around, and they have to be as close to 12 hours apart from one another as possible.

I love keeping up with your sexcapades (and symptom spotting - feeling hopeful for everyone in waiting).

bingles that's a good way of looking at the horror stories from pregnant ladies and parents. I sort of take the same approach when I see a bad reviews for something. How many people with opposite experiences just didn't ever think to share? It's more natural to be motivated to complain about something than to say, "This is swell" or "How nice."

CosyTeaBags Thu 30-Jan-14 10:23:45

Ach sorry to hear some of you are out, I had high hopes with some of the symptoms you were experiencing!

Lovely to hear from you Red, hope the injections are ok. 'Rebalancing weekend' sounds lovely, I could do with one of those!

I'm in full symptom spotting hell too Nessa - and I POAS this morning.. it was BFN of course. I'm either 9 or 14 DPO if I go by the two peaks in EWCM that I had. More likely to be the later peak really, so I'm probably only 9DPO.

My symptoms are - sore boobs, which I get this time of the month every month, and IBS, which I get before ERTD every month... so no real symptoms really.

Convinced myself I could taste a metallic taste in my mouth this morning... but I think that's just wishful thinking!

DP is going away tomorrow,
